Don't go repeating yourself three times, 🤣
Bradley Patel2, who exactly gave you permission to cast a vote here? 😬 We’re basically just sitting around waiting for someone to be able to edit their first post, or like, for Matthew Ruiz8 to actually get that option enabled. ☕
Matthew Ruiz8 said:So, I’ve been sitting here thinking about it—and honestly, I might be totally off base here, so don't come for me—but if we're actually talking about who's running this show, I guess there's a definitive Top 5 list of moderators worth mentioning. It’s hard to say for sure because everyone has their own style, I suppose, but if I had to narrow it down... anyway, here it is:
Nica (1) Fiona (1) 3. Spy (1) Uncle Charlie The Observer (1)
Matthew Ruiz8 said:Look, manchild, I took what you said into account, I guess. I mean, honestly, it’s just one single vote. So, about that first one regarding the rules... I guess we should probably go with that since the guidelines actually allow for just one moderator per day to handle the voting, if that makes sense.
Man, I swear, I was laughing my head off at the guy who started this whole thing. 🤣🤣 I mean, once Matthew Ruiz8 finally figures out which way he's actually leaning and stops arguing with himself about how to vote, I guess this whole thread will just drift over to the health Quote anyway. 😂
I mean, I’d honestly love it if the mods or admins could just let me edit my post in this thread, because right now it just looks totally messy and kind of pointless, I guess.
I’m on this TV forum every single day, jumping into all sorts of threads, and I definitely haven't been treating her posts like some kind of paid ad campaign. Does she actually enjoy watching NBC or something? I mean, I'm right there with her on praising them, mostly because ABC doesn't even have anything decent on their schedule lately—not that there's much worth bragging about over there, I guess.
If NBC were actually paying the forum for advertising 🤣, then maybe, but look, television is basically built to be an ad platform itself, not something that pays people to promote them.🤣
Karen Cook51 said:@Megan Ruiz13, man, you gotta be some kind of hardcore gamer or something 🙂 You just don't get it—that feeling when you buy your first rig and a monitor all on your own using your high school paycheck... back then, you actually appreciated every single inch of screen space you had 🤣
Look, I’m not *that* old-school, though. I haven't been messing with dial-up for years now. And besides, you can't just toss an Eizo aside overnight, especially since everyone suddenly decided widescreen resolutions are the only way to go 😁
And check out what they're calling the "standard" now with this Motorola they've set up for us. In this specific case, even a 15'' screen would be an upgrade 😬
Exactly. 🙂 I'm rocking a 15'' laptop myself, and honestly, looking at that Motorola, it seems pretty small to me, though it doesn't really bother me. Plus, I still have a CRT sitting on my desk setup.
Alright, enough with the jokes, I'm being dead serious now—this is just straight-up garbage, like, it couldn't possibly get any worse than this. The layout is way too cramped, and honestly, that blue color is absolutely blinding; it’s actually physically painful to look at. It makes me not even want to browse the forums or read the threads I actually care about, let alone deal with the whole hassle of actually posting anything.
Nathan Turner3, that's a solid avatar you've got there. Any chance you could hunt down something similar for me and just slide it into my DMs? I'd really appreciate it.🙂
So, here's analoggull4 in the actual correct dimensions, since yours is tiny at like 100x100
Just post the spinning image here, I can probably shrink it down for you using Photoshop, or if you're feeling private about it, just shoot me a DM.
And honestly, for everyone else reading this—if you're struggling with resizing animations or just have no clue how to handle them, don't sweat it. Just hit me up in my inbox and I'll take care of it for you, it's really no big deal at all. 🙂
Hey darksailor2, I went ahead and shrunk down that animation for you, so it should actually work now, just give it a shot 🙂
I finally applied it, wiiii 🙂, this 75x75 size is honestly perfect 🙂 Look, darksailor2, you might be able to go back to using the larger one now, I guess, but if not, well, at least I made this smaller version for you.
mellowlynx68 said:Look, whenever my PC starts acting up or something just dies on me, I just call a tech guy and he fixes it, simple as that. I honestly don't get why everyone is making such a huge deal out of it here on 🤷 Reddit, like... what, is this some kind of romantic relationship we're supposed to be having with our hardware? Just say the word and we'll all chip in, I promise nobody's being a cheapskate 🥳 🤣.
Rachel Reed2 said:It’s 2011, not 2000. Monitors are huge and high-res now... Does it even make sense to stick to 50x50 pixel avatars? 🤷
Increasing them to 100x100, or at least 75x75, wouldn't hurt the Reddit layout.
And don't just claim it would ruin the look of the site... 🤦 😁
It’s not even about the aesthetics, honestly, because that isn't the real issue here; it's more about the server itself and its overall capacity. I mean, the more stuff you cram onto a server, the slower that server is going to run, I guess.
So, I was just scrolling through the description for this subforum, and I gotta ask—is it really not incredibly tasteless to explicitly state that people can come here to offer condolences for a funeral?
Happy birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, new babies, military deployments, funerals, and whatnot...
If there’s any way to do it, maybe just cut the part about funerals out, because honestly, seeing it listed right next to baby announcements feels both ridiculous and pretty grim. Thanks.
