So, look, whenever you're jumping on Google to hunt down some image, most of the time you'll find that there are actually a bunch of different sizes available for basically any picture you pick, which means you can just grab something smaller than 640 px so you don't end up breaking the forum rules and getting flagged or whatever.
I mean, I honestly think it’s just way better to pick a handle right out of the gate that actually feels unique so you aren't constantly getting mixed up with everyone else.

And if you slap your birth year onto the end of a name, well, you won't be that age next year, but your handle stays stuck like that forever. Wouldn't it be smarter to just use a little imagination—like, instead of being Anne, maybe Jane becomes John?

I mean, it’s gotta be somewhat similar, right? Like, you need to make sure the regulars on Reddit can actually link you back to your old handle. There’s really no point in doing a complete 180 and changing it so drastically that people have to play detective just to figure out who showed up. That’s kind of the whole catch, I guess. I mean, it’s just common sense, right? If some new mod rolls in without having any clue about a user's history on this board, they're obviously gonna look at their disciplinary record first. It’s basically how you judge someone's vibe here. It's pretty much like checking someone's rap sheet with the FBI or local PD. And honestly, a criminal record tells you a hell of a lot about how a person actually carries themselves, so you tend to approach those types with a bit of caution—it's just basic human nature, nothing weird about it.
Sure, I guess a user who’s racked up pages and pages of warnings can totally turn things around and be a model citizen, but let's be real, I don't see those comeback stories happening very often.🙂

Yeah, you totally can. First off, over here you should probably double-check if this setting is actually toggled on—it usually is right out of the box, but who knows, I guess: Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default
Then, once you actually hit send, that message ought to show up in your Sent folder... you know, where it shows your total message count at the very top when you open your inbox? You’ve got that option there: Switch to folder: received messages, just flip it over to Sent messages instead, and then just hit Go.
