What are you doing to stay healthy? in Health ·
Sarah Gomez52 said:I hear you, I really do...
but it’s not like I’m walking around showing off my bare back or stomach. I actually have some standards! I make sure my shirt is tucked in properly.
And as far as age goes, I'm just slightly north of 30. 😁

But honestly, who can say? You never truly know when life is going to throw a curveball at you, regardless of how old you are. I just hope it doesn't happen to me.🙂

Sarah Gomez52 said:I simply cannot get used to wearing an undershirt. Is it too much to ask? I find myself constantly reaching for sweaters, T-shirts, button-downs—honestly, just about anything—and wearing them directly against my skin. Why bother with that extra layer? It feels unnecessary, cumbersome, and frankly, quite irritating. Does anyone else feel this way, or am I just being difficult? 😢
But I’m wearing double socks. 😉

Listen to me, dear—you can pile on all the double socks you want, but that isn't going to save you once the draft hits. What good is extra wool when the chill starts crawling right up your spine? 😉

Listen, you really ought to be careful; you don't want to end up paying for this later. Honestly, it makes my stomach turn just seeing how most girls these days walk around with their midriffs and backs completely exposed. Is anyone actually thinking about the consequences? I know firsthand—and believe me, I know it all too well—what it feels like to be bedridden with a 102-degree fever and kidney pains so intense you can't even shift an inch under the covers. It’s a mistake you only make once. 😢

And then there’s the kicker. The absolute cherry on top of this medical nightmare. Do you know what else the doctor had the audacity to tell me? That I have "potential." Not potential for success, or happiness, or even just a decent life—no. I have the distinct, looming potential to become a chronic kidney failure patient by the time I hit thirty. Or, if that doesn't kill me first, the possibility of never being able to have children at all. Isn't that just wonderful? Is there any limit to how much one person can be told about their own inevitable decline? 😢

What choice do I really have left but to look out for myself? It’s a fool's errand to think anything else will. What good is a heavy sweater or some thick long-sleeved shirts if I haven't even bothered with an undershirt? Is there any point in all that extra layering if the foundation isn't there? No. Not one bit.

Hannah Scott69 said:Do you all actually stay active? Do you go out of your way to pick non-GMO produce at the grocery store?
Do you use those vitamin-infused lotions? Is there a glass of milk in your morning routine? Do you find time for intimacy with your partner every single day just to keep that complexion glowing 😉? Do you laugh enough?
Do you eat an apple daily? Do you make sure to hit the sack before midnight every night?.......

Feel free to list anything else you believe contributes to your health and vitality.

I’ve taken up running. I walk quite a bit. I even do stretching exercises at home—it’s a late start on the fitness front, but better late than never, right? 😉.

I don't smoke. I've quit drinking entirely.
I avoid fatty foods; as for GMOs, they aren't even an option for me. I stay hydrated (milk is a rare exception, but I easily clear 1.5 liters of water a day).

I always wear an undershirt to protect my kidneys and bladder from catching a chill. I try to dress warmly—and let's be honest, even when the sun is out, the wind can be absolutely brutal.

I laugh constantly; it's just how I am. I also volunteer—it provides a sense of fulfillment and happiness. It makes me feel better overall.
I surround myself with upbeat people. I have no patience for chronic pessimists.

I consume plenty of vegetables, specifically carrots and leafy greens. Fruit intake is a bit more sporadic, but I manage. 🙂

Anyway, if I think of anything else, I'll add it later. 🙂

Great topic. 👍

Lisa Ortiz17 said:I heard about this family—I think they were out in California—who imported these little fish because of a sick family member, and eventually, they set up this tiny little "clinic." They keep the fish in tanks where the patient sits for maybe half an hour or so, and the fish just graze on those flakes. They actually demonstrated the whole therapy process. Apparently, you have to go through it several times.

I can't say for certain, but I believe it was somewhere near Santa Barbara or Monterey.

Generally speaking, these fish are kept in specialized pools using specific water conditions (temperature and all that). I don't recall exactly how many sessions a single treatment requires, but from what I gathered watching the people involved on TV, they claim it actually helped quite a bit. 🙂
I don't touch coffee.
Bio tattoos in Health ·
Sarah Allen51 said:About a year ago, some expert on a TV show claimed that "bio-tattoos" aren't even a real thing, and honestly? I can back that up personally. He actually pleaded with people not to fall for that kind of nonsense. I actually went in for one myself at an Ulta Beauty—that’s how they were advertising it on their flyers—and I still have the ink today, even though it's been five years. People need to realize: bio-tattoos don't exist! There is no such thing as a "surface-level" puncture; the needle goes straight under the skin. And all this talk about the body eventually breaking down the pigment? Complete garbage.

Oh, and yeah, I've got two tribal pieces from those "bio-tattoo" places, if you must know.

😁 😁

But yours turned out looking great. 😉

Look, if I ever decide to get tattooed, I’m doing it the right way. I’ve heard of this bio-tattoo stuff, but I’ll admit, I was pretty skeptical about it too.

If you just want something that fades away, why not just grab some henna and draw it on? 🙂

Timothy Perez10 said:Is there really any point in even pretending they’re different? Sisley fragrances are just the exact same level of mediocre trash as Benetton. Honestly, why do we even bother debating them? It's all just cheap, mass-produced nonsense wrapped in a fancy bottle.

Just a thought worth mentioning. I ran into this guy the other day—he works over at the Benetton and Sisley outlets—and he let me in on a little secret. He told me straight up that the stock they’re actually putting on the shelves in these American stores? It’s absolute garbage. Honestly, you have to wonder: if the people working the floor know the quality isn't there, why are we even pretending it is?
It’s been quite a while since I last set foot in those shops, so I was a bit out of the loop, wasn't I? I honestly had no idea what the current situation was. But, for the sake of everyone else here, I figured I should weigh in and share what I know. 🙂

Stop throwing your money away!!! 😁

rustyridge said:You probably need a 32 length. That’s the sweet spot for me since I tend to wear low heels. Honestly, every store should offer more length options—it's a basic necessity. Just yesterday, I tried on some at Levi's; they were fantastic. Dark denim, a decent waistline—not too low, anyway (though they do carry high-waisted styles, which just aren't my thing)—and available in various lengths. Plus, you can cuff the legs, making them work perfectly with boots or elevated shoes.

Hmm... I'm not sure yet, I'll have to check out the Levi's selection. We have a boutique over in San Diego that carries them.🙂

Does anyone here actually shop at Sisley? Do they even carry decent jeans, and if so, what's the quality like?

Brenda Reed3 said:...honestly, I wouldn't buy from Wit Boy again even if they paid me... One crisp autumn day, I picked up a pair of jeans there. I wore them ten times, washed them, put them back on, and suddenly the seat was starting to fray. So, I went to exchange them, and what happens? They wouldn't even let me return them! Absolutely terrible experience... And let's be real, I wouldn't say they're anywhere near the quality of Diesel. Sorry, but my jeans from them usually last years, and I live in them constantly...☕

Hmm... that's strange. 🤔

Is it possible the quality just slipped over time? I truly have no idea. For the last three years, everything I've bought from them has held up perfectly—nothing has frayed or fallen apart.

I haven't shopped there in a while because I didn't have the budget, and honestly, looking at the selection here in Miami, it doesn't feel like they have much variety anyway.

I don't know... really... the pair I have is top-tier and has been through everything with me. 😬

That actress? Just incredible. She has this charm that's totally captivating! 😍

northernfalcon30 said:Why on earth is Wit Boy so expensive??

Well, if I’m not mistaken, they sit somewhere in that same tier as Diesel or Benetton.

I actually own a pair from Wit Boy myself, and I have to admit—if my memory serves me right—they’re entering their third or fourth year of life now. Sure, they’ve faded a bit, but honestly? I still adore them because the quality is genuinely top-tier.

As for the sales clerks... please. They aren't the only ones out there who act like they're doing you a massive favor just by acknowledging your existence.😁

Just dropping this here so I don't clutter up the forum with a whole new thread.

I’ve been wondering lately: where on earth can one actually find trousers that are a decent, normal length? Let me explain my frustration. I stand at about 5'7", and seemingly every single pair of pants I encounter is somehow five centimeters too long. And frankly, I refuse to just get them hemmed—once you start cutting fabric like that, the whole silhouette is ruined, isn't it? It just doesn't sit right anymore.

Oh, and they absolutely have to be flares. 😁

Thanks! 👋
Would you be an organ donor? in Miscellaneous ·
Of course I’d donate. Not that I expect to see a single cent of benefit from it once I finally kick the bucket 😁 Besides, I’ve already been carrying around a donor card for about two years now 🙂
Best antacids for a sensitive stomach? in Health ·
Maybe try eating some dark baking chocolate to help settle your stomach if you're dealing with diarrhea😁 (but don't go overboard 😁 )

And for heaven's sake, stop drinking that ice-cold Coca-Cola if you can clearly see it's making you sick!!
Larry King37 said:How much love—or cash—are we talking about for a tiny little piece?

Look, there’s always going to be a base price regardless of the size. Down here in Miami, you’ve got a starting rate, and then everything else gets tacked on. You have to factor in things like whether it's color versus black and grey, how complex the design is, which studio you pick, and all that jazz.

Honestly, your best bet is just to walk into a shop and ask. 🙂
Kidney issues/health in Health ·
Karen White13 said:Well, here are the results—everything came back clean. Blood work is fine, urine analysis is fine, kidney scan looks perfectly normal. Honestly, what on earth was that? Maybe I just pinched a nerve when the pain hit me that hard...
.......but I’m feeling much more at ease now that I know I’m not dragging kidney stones around with me.😁

I am truly relieved it isn't a kidney issue (that is nasty... absolutely BRUTAL) and I really hope this was just some fleeting thing that passes quickly.🙂

Here is one:🙂
Can't sleep! in Health ·
shadowgardener12 said:God, this is absolutely brutal. 😢

I’ve been suffering through this for days now—either I can’t drift off at all, or I crash for a couple of hours and then wake up wide awake, just like today. Now, I’m actually terrified to even get into bed because I know I won’t fall asleep until dawn, which means I’ll be late for work. So the whole day is spent in a fog, and then I try to nap in the afternoon, only to find sleep is just as elusive.
....

Is your room maybe too warm?

I went through the exact same thing with insomnia during the winter; my room was freezing and kept me tossing and turning, but honestly, it’s just as bad if the room is overheating.

Check your thermostat.

Good luck! 🙂
American Idol 2004 Song in Music ·
Personally, I found that entry from South East Asia absolutely stunning... the way all those instruments blended together was just pure magic... such beautiful music... it’s truly a shame they didn't take home the win.

As for this winning track? Honestly, it's totally blown it for me... it just reminds me of that Swedish act from a few years back when they did that whole choreographed dance routine on stage...

Aside from rooting for South East Asia, I was pulling for Germany and Max because his song is simply gorgeous (I've played it on MTV a million times and it's practically etched into my soul)👍

I am utterly, completely disillusioned by the winning entry at the Eurovision Song Contest...

And does anyone actually know if it's spelled "Euro" or "Euro"?
