Does anyone know why I can manage to upload an image right here, but when I try on other parts of the forum, it just spits out a raw link instead of actually showing the picture? Is there some kind of logic to this? Ashley Castillo43 is invisible Report post
It’s likely because the admin over in that specific sub-forum decided to disable the (image)
If you're trying to attach images directly to your post, they might be getting rejected because the system tends to shrink attachments down to tiny thumbnails. It’s usually much smoother to upload whatever you want to share to an image hosting site like Imgur instead... Basically, you just need the URL wrapped in those (image)

For some reason, I've lost the ability to join the conversation in the comments sections of various news sites, which used to be no problem at all. I keep getting hit with this notification: You need to accept third-party cookies in your browser in order to comment using this social plugin.🙂 Thanks in advance.
If you're running Google Chrome, just head over to Settings->Privacy and security->then look under the Privacy and security tab. If it isn't checked, go ahead and enable Allow third-party cookies and then under third-party cookies select Block third-party cookies in Incognito mode (which is my personal suggestion) or allow them always.
Once you've done that, just give the page a quick refresh and you should be good to go...
Chloe Adams6 said:Hey, so I just signed up on ImageShack to start posting my pics. I noticed some folks are using the .us version instead of .com, but honestly, I don't think it makes much of a difference... The thing is, I tried uploading a photo and it’s just not working. Anyone able to help a girl out? It’s not even like it’s over the size limit, and I see other people posting massive files here, so I'm totally lost on what's going wrong. Also, just to make sure I've got this right—once I upload the image to the site, I just grab that link and paste it here on the forum, right? (I mean, I definitely can't just drop a direct link). 🤷
My guess is they stopped letting you grab direct links from Imgur unless you're a "premium user"—basically, unless you're paying the toll...
Try signing up at this place or maybe Imgur instead. You can upload your photo there, grab the Direct link and then when you're drafting a post on the forum, just click and paste that link into the little window that pops up. Once you've finished typing your message, just hit "Post Reply"...
In any case, you don't even really need an account to upload photos; you can just upload them as a guest if you want to keep things simple.

She grew up without parents, yet she still managed to achieve so much later in life, just by relying on her own knowledge and pulling herself up by her bootstraps without any help from anyone. Eventually, she met my grandfather, then my mom was born, and finally, me. My grandparents loved my mom so much, and they loved me too. But... I sometimes think they might have loved her more than me, or maybe they were just more protective of her. Even though they showered me with all the attention they could possibly give. Now, there’s no one left of them. My mom passed away tragically due to medical malpractice at the beginning of this month. My grandparents had already passed before her. And it’s just horrible... I honestly don't know how to go on without my mom. She meant everything to me.

I am so sorry about your mother. You know, people love to frame these things as life lessons. There are those who insist everything happens for a reason, while people like me—who tend to be a bit disillusioned with humanity and even with God—feel that it’s all just random chance. I struggle to see the logic if someone suffers incessantly; if luck simply refuses to find them, what possible lesson is there to extract from that? What is such a perpetually unfortunate soul supposed to learn? Sure, a person might stumble once or twice and walk away wiser, but if life keeps throwing curveballs, eventually you just run out of patience. It's much the same way if someone were happy all the time; they wouldn't learn anything either. So, one could argue that occasional hardships exist solely to teach us something. But honestly, I can't say for certain if these setbacks are intentional cosmic lessons or if, as I suggested earlier, they are entirely accidental... I truly wish we could uncover the actual truth behind it all.

I guess, maybe, I was just a whole lot happier back then than I am today. But then again, life isn't always like that. I suppose some people might have a really rough start, only to find things get much, much better as they grow up.

Then there are those whose childhood is difficult, only for life to take an even darker turn, leading down a path of depression, psychosis, and eventually, suicide. 🤷
I was at my absolute peak of happiness back when I was just a kid—just a little thing looking for some simple affection and nothing more. I can't help but wonder why God saw fit to make me grow up when I was already so content. If I were still small, I’d spend my days drifting through dreams of rolling meadows and imagining myself as a pilot, a diver, a chimney sweep, or maybe even a clerk at Walmart. Being a real child again was always the ultimate dream of mine! 🤷

It might be worth just adding him to your block list? 🤷
We ran into a few hiccups here in Los Angeles regarding the lighting rig and the light mix console. It wasn't anything major, but they really should have been better prepared...

Right-click the icon, then select copy image address (if you're using Google Chrome), click on the forum, right-click inside the new message box, hit Paste, and you're good to go.
It looks pretty much like this right out of the box, essentially the way everything appears immediately after you've finished installing the forum software. You’ll find the User Control Panel (Options) tucked away in the left corner...
Well... depression can actually be managed quite effectively with medication. I know it’s brutal because it feels like it's consuming your very soul, but please don't throw your life away over a phase like this; it will pass. In my view, most people living in today's world—especially those young, unweathered souls who haven't been hardened by life yet—will encounter a depressive episode at least once.
Years ago, I was hit by it so hard that looking at the faces of people around me felt impossible. There were other things happening too; I remember having mono, and then just three or four days later, my blood work came back perfectly clean. It felt as if the devil himself had taken hold of me, and I am not exaggerating.
I eventually managed to pull myself out of that particular hole in record time, essentially navigating my way through entirely on my own without any meds.
And as if my life hasn't been miserable enough already! That bout of depression was really just a drop in the bucket, merely the beginning. I feel like I've been fighting for nothing since the day I was born. At this rate, I might as well just stick a sign on my front door that says Hell II. Five years ago, I spent nearly an entire year confined to my bedroom. I developed a severe level of psychosis, to the point where my parents couldn't believe a word I said, and they left the doctor's office in tears after the psychiatrist mentioned the possibility of schizophrenia.
But then came the breaking point, the final straw that led to my first suicide attempt—I was truly at rock bottom. I swallowed a handful of tranquilizers and drifted off, praying to God to let me slip away. I woke up in the hospital, in the ICU, undergoing a stomach pump.
Afterward, there was a period of temporary improvement followed by a quiet, lingering suffering. People look at me strangely on the street now when I don't acknowledge them, simply because I don't recognize them anymore after how much they've aged and changed during those few damn, incredibly long years I spent in agony.
And I was always supposed to be such a good boy... the irony isn't lost on me. Well, there's a song in there somewhere. :-)
Anyway, that's just a small slice of it. And I'm only 24. You think you're the only one going through hell? 🙂
Hang in there and try talking to a psychologist or a psychiatrist (a psychologist will refer you to a doctor if they see you need medication). Try seeing someone privately if you can.
