bluetinker11 said:Let me say it again—it’s not just about that one post above; it’s the whole damn thing.

So, we’re finally on the same page: your issue is with the OP, not the mods.

bluetinker11 said:I only started hunting down clones once they actually started leaking my private info.

Did you report those posts? Because if you didn't, and something slips through the cracks in the chat—that's entirely on you. Please, just report them. And if some trolls start quoting your own forum posts back to you? That’s also your responsibility to handle. Quoting your own previous comments isn't considered leaking personal info. But if someone starts dropping data that isn't public knowledge, we shut that down immediately. No mercy.

bluetinker11 said:I’m still a little fuzzy on the answer, honestly. I was mostly trying to figure out if I should actually bother reporting *those kinds* of posts, or if they just fly under the radar without getting flagged. I'd hate to be wasting both my time and yours by clicking that little report button for nothing.

What exactly is unclear here? If someone on the forum writes "the usurpers were sanctioned," we really ought to step in and issue a sanction ourselves, because they're clearly referring to... I don't even know where to start with this one. That's just a total joke. Someone. So, about that user? They really should have made it clear they were talking about you. 🤦

bluetinker11 said:So we aren't going to quote anything or hand out warnings? What was even the point of all this registration effort then?

It’s honestly impressive how much you struggle with reading posts for actual meaning.

1. This chat moves incredibly fast, especially late at night. Because of the way chat works, the mods aren't sitting there hovering over it constantly or reading every single line like they do with most other threads.

2. Because of that first point, every single issue needs to be reported—either by flagging it or by sending me a DM with the link—so we can actually take action if needed.

3. As for those "Oh, the usurpers have been punished" comments, we aren't definitely going to issue warnings for those unless there are specific complaints from certain users. I guess we should just start banning everyone who writes "hehehe someone got a warning."

🤦

bluetinker11 said:That wasn't even a controversial post; the whole "evil people being mean hehehe" vibe is what's controversial.

Controversial to *you*. Posts that the moderators actually found problematic were warned. If we're being totally honest here, you probably should've seen more warnings yourself given your obsession with hunting down clones and those "you're definitely a clone" comments. And when you guys cornered that female user and jumped her? Oh, absolutely.

If Nika thinks your reported post warrants a warning, then go ahead and issue one.

bluetinker11 said:So, I’m the one being the jerk, while the other person is acting all sweet and composed? Great. Just my luck.

This post is total cardboard. What exactly are we even talking about here?

Like I mentioned before—feel free to just post your stuff over in the subforum. People don't really keep a close eye on the main chat anyway. Besides, there's honestly no point in trying to report someone for mentioning a random user or some old thread; it’s just not worth the hassle.

If rustydrifter10 wants to ban that controversial post, fine by me. Personally, I’m not seeing anything in there that warrants a strike.

bluetinker11 said:If you’re paying enough attention to track exactly when and how I snap at people on this forum, then you definitely should have noticed her MO from the jump—she’s been throwing shade in the chat since her very first post.

Honestly, I don't blame you for getting annoyed when someone drags out a point you made over a month ago just to keep picking at you.

I’ve had my fair share of petty arguments with people here, but usually, we just stop poking at each other once things get heated because, well, nobody wants to deal with a ban🤷.

How is it your fault if you aren't reporting those kinds of posts in the chat? I’ve been in that chat at least ten times, and I’ve even explicitly said, "The chat moves too fast to monitor everything, so please use the report button or DM me." How many reports actually come in? Hardly any. Why? Because everyone prefers bickering amongst themselves and praying to God that the mods don't catch on.

If there are posts where certain users or specific trolls are being targeted, you can report those. But expecting the mods to sit there scrolling through a chat where messages fly by every minute just to issue bans for things like, "Oh look, so-and-so got banned, tee hee tee hee"—yeah, that's just not going to happen.
Commenting on other people's posts in Feedback & Suggestions ·
There’s absolutely nothing controversial about what was written. Honestly, we might as well just sterilize this entire forum since one user decided to announce that the "usurper has been sanctioned."

And if we’re being completely honest here, you showed up to the US chat that day—where people tend to jump into conversations quite often (others do it too, though they usually just get a slap on the wrist)—and you told her the following:

bluetinker11 said:You and all your cloned trash can go straight to hell, because I am officially done with you.

You guys can collectively smash yourselves together hoping for some kind of golden glory, but even sticks can survive a nuclear meltdown.

Go ahead, report me. I truly don't give a damn anymore.
At least I won't have to waste my breath talking to dim-witted idiots who think their only talent is complaining about how pathetic they are. They aren't pathetic because they're alone; they're alone because they're pathetic.

So suck it, and you all can decide amongst yourselves who wants to go first.
Question for the video game subforum moderators in Feedback & Suggestions ·
analogbear6 said:If you’d actually scrolled through the thread, you’d see I opened this exact one back on "June 6, 2015, at 4:56 PM." Honestly, I can barely remember what I had for lunch yesterday, let alone which burner account I used to start a thread a year and a half ago. 😬

My bad if I misidentified you, but I'm telling it like it is. I had zero posts back then, and that was my first and last one because I knew this whole thing would turn into a complete mess.

I really think this is for the greater good, not just some personal vendetta.

Again, sorry if I got you mixed up.

PS. If you decide to reopen that main thread, I promise to be a good citizen and play strictly by the rules.

I'll chat with the mods and we'll let you know what we decide.
Question for the video game subforum moderators in Feedback & Suggestions ·
analogbear6 said:Since this is your subforum, you could at least consider setting up some kind of "top thread" system. Something like how they handle ads in the States—maybe you can only link the channel after reaching a certain post count, or implement a cooldown period before the same thing can be linked again. I honestly think that would go over much better than people just spamming every single active subforum where it clearly doesn't belong.

I'll give it some thought once you drop the name of that clone account so we can clear up those heavy accusations and settle the fact that you've got me on your radar. Deal? 🙂
Question for the video game subforum moderators in Feedback & Suggestions ·
analogbear6 said:It’s honestly a non-issue. I can't even remember it. It was ages ago—well over six months now. It just feels a little weird to me, so I guess I find myself overthinking things like that.

I don't want to get dragged into a massive debate over one of your X clones. Honestly, I find it hard to believe you got a permanent ban just because of a single topic. You might want to save that kind of theorizing for some conspiracy forum.

analogbear6 said:So, are we actually going to give some serious thought to that idea for a PDF version of YouTube? Or is that just one of those concepts that's officially dead in the water?

It’s got absolutely nothing to do with me.

Do you happen to remember the name of that clone account you used to start the thread—the one that actually got you banned? Thanks.
Closing the thread on LJS Fiber in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Beyond just turning into a total cesspool (which is its own headache), this thread has become a subtle breeding ground for homophobia—wrapped up in polite little packages, of course—and that’s honestly the last thing we need here.

At this point, most of the actual useful replies were already given in the first couple of pages, leaving the rest of the discussion completely off-track. Usually, threads like this spiral pretty quickly into massive flame wars and disgusting comments, so we're going to lock this one down accordingly.

Partial ban in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Raymond Ross33 said:Just to be clear, I only got my ban partially lifted because I reported it. Now, someone’s bound to argue that if I was going to report things, I should have just done that instead of arguing—and fine, if it’s my fault for thinking I shouldn't have to call my dad to fix every little thing, then so be it. But honestly, that doesn't justify why the ban wasn't fully removed.

The reason you didn't get a full reinstatement isn't about that one single report; it’s because of the long-standing, absolutely toxic discourse happening here. We're talking about calling women "anchors," "trash," "fat," or "losers" just because they have experience, and suggesting they should go find some guy to settle down with—all that kind of nonsense.

I already told you, you aren't going to be asking to have this partial ban wiped away in six months, because you won't get my vote to lift it, and the mods need to reach a consensus to make any changes.

There's no reason to revisit the decision on the partial ban; the mods are all on the same page.
How do I delete my profile? in Forum Help! ·
Gregory Ramirez2 said:It’s really not exactly a state secret, if you want the truth.
Websites need as many registered accounts as possible to sweeten the deal for advertisers, making them willing to pay top dollar for ad space.
More registered profiles equals more revenue from ads.

When they delete accounts, they're effectively shrinking their "user base," so the logic is pretty straightforward.

That's actually incorrect.

Advertisers care about unique visitors and click rates; the number of registered profiles matters way less, especially when you realize there are way more guests browsing than people actually logged in.

George Peterson3 said:I’m not complaining about my warnings. I got provoked and reacted poorly, sure, but treating insults as mere "trolling" and handing out such light sanctions just isn't right.

Let’s go over this one more time, since you won't let it go—even though the Admin already gave you an answer.

1. You and your fellow forum member both got warnings for trolling (ad hominem attacks) because you turned a discussion into a personal spat.

2. There was no "outrageous" verbal abuse here, and frankly, how "offended" you personally feel doesn't change the facts.

3. You each received two warnings because there's really no point in me handing out a third just to make us both look bad.

4. And yes, in my book, you two are exactly the same.

5. This post wasn't written specifically to force a new thread, and honestly, it doesn't matter what YOU think the user's intention was. If we started playing judge on whether someone wrote a post just to trigger a new page, we'd be spending all day hitting delete.

Have a good one.

You all know perfectly well that this song is a provocation aimed directly at me, especially since the comment attached to it was "the best way to catch Dedach." For context, Dedach is the guy from my thread "He's married, I'm married..." It has absolutely nothing to do with sex music. Unless that girl is picturing me while she's in bed, then sure, it's about sex. 😁
And over in the off-topic chat, specifically threads 1 through 4, she and harderfaster were dropping Pokémon images alongside comments like "she's not just stupid, she's crazy..."

You need to look at the big picture here. You have to connect the dots between all these different things.
I get that you don't want to deal with the friction between users, but on the flip side, you won't let us settle things ourselves either; instead, you insist on this whole "report the post" bureaucracy.
I haven't been a nuisance; I haven't reported a single damn post in my own thread.
Apparently, I really am crazy and stupid. Well, I guess life is easiest for people like that.
I'm done. There's no point in arguing.

What won't happen?

Kyle Gonzalez said:I’ve been sitting here debating whether I should even bother addressing you all, but after witnessing the way Johabi was treated, I simply can't stay silent.
I believe I have a right to speak up since I’m a registered member of this American forum, which means whatever happens here affects me directly.
A forum should be a place for exchanging ideas, not a playground for insults, and I’m sure you moderators agree—it’s literally written in the rules.
So why on earth are you allowing this one user, nausikaja123, to run wild day after day? The constant insults, the humiliation, the mockery—why is this being tolerated?
It was because of her relentless spamming and verbal abuse that my thread, "He’s married, I’m married...", got shut down. This woman was nothing but a provocateur, and when a few of us finally stood our ground and pushed back against her nonsense, what happened? You locked the thread, effectively punishing me and everyone else who actually had the guts to answer her. She just couldn't handle someone else being the center of attention, so she kept throwing around words like "desperate" just to get under my skin. And it wasn't just me; Joshua earned that same label multiple times too. It's hilarious watching this self-righteous saint criticize a wannabe cheater—which is exactly what I am, and something I don't even hide on this site.
People actually tried to step in; several users reached out to her, both directly and indirectly, telling her to leave me alone (Joshua, Sinatra, Justforfun...).

So, you closed the thread citing "spam." But did you penalize her for the actual insults? And don't you dare try to tell me it doesn't concern me. It concerns me deeply if I'm the one being targeted by her vitriol.

And it didn't stop there. Even after the thread was locked, she wouldn't quit.
She was tearing people apart in the Chat—calling people "lost souls," saying things like, "not only am I stupid, but I'm crazy too..." But that wasn't even the peak. Your own moderator, Eowyn FTW, was right there in the chat, and she didn't even bother deleting that post until it was officially reported. Was nausikaja123 punished for that? Did she face any consequences for calling me stupid and crazy? Or did she walk away scot-free? And why didn't the moderator intervene before a report was even filed?
I deserve an answer to that.

Moving on.
Then there are the provocations over on Lies, specifically in the "Best Sex Music" thread, where she posts some Pokémon song with a comment like, "The best way to catch Dedach (grandpa)." Again, it's aimed at me. Did you sanction that? Is that supposed to be sex music? Isn't that clearly OffTopic? I realize she probably hates me and my thread because she can't vent her frustrations anymore, but how much longer are you going to tolerate this? Where do you draw the line? How many little jabs can one person throw before they actually face repercussions?
The other day, she's on ŽUD in a thread titled "Should we let him go?", calling a fellow member a "psychiatric patient." I see she got a warning for that. Seriously? Isn't that grounds for a ban? That is straight-up harassment.

Then I see that Johabi, who spent the whole time defending themselves—perhaps more aggressively than me or anyone else—gets banned. Meanwhile, Mrs. nausikaja123 gets absolutely nothing.

How is that even possible, I ask you? I want an explanation. Thanks.

Look, we aren't about to police everyone's personal taste or play judge on whether a song is truly someone's "sex anthem" or just a joke. We also can't possibly know if a specific song choice is intended as a jab at someone else.

So, here's the deal:
a) If the poster says a song is for sex, then for the purposes of the thread, it is.
b) It doesn't count as OffTopic.
c) We haven't issued any sanctions, and we don't plan to.

A warning is appropriate, but a full ban isn't.

As for the Chat and people calling others stupid, crazy, or whatever—that warrants a warning, but someone actually has to report the post. I haven't personally seen a report for this yet, but if I had, I would have handed out a warning immediately. In the future, feel free to shoot me a DM with a link to any problematic posts, provided the Chat is in one of the subforums I moderate.

Regarding that Chat activity over in OffTopic, Eowyn isn't the moderator responsible for that section— Dima is.
Gregory Ramirez2 said:Sophia Thomas7, I never said any of that!

What I'm actually asking for is some intervention regarding the posts in this thread—the ones that caused this whole mess in the first place—because they didn't violate any US laws, nor were they even illegal.

I'm guessing you're thinking about my other thread here, but that’s not what this is about.

The reason I say "guessing" is because back when I was a Super Mod, I dealt with all sorts of reports too—I had to use my own judgment to figure out which ones were legitimate and which ones were just people being petty.

Long story short, let's not dance around it.
a) Users got banned for insults because they were calling people idiots and jerks. Those bans are crystal clear.
b) You got flagged because you broke a specific rule in the LJS forum guidelines. Also crystal clear.

Because of that, we aren't lifting the bans.

Gregory Ramirez2 said:I shot Joe a quick DM asking him to grab a word in here.

Feel free, but we still aren't lifting those bans, regardless of what Joe says. If the Admin wants to overturn them, that's on them.
Gregory Ramirez2 said:Sophia Thomas7, first off—I’m not some kind of drama queen! I just can't stand seeing things go wrong without saying something. And look, if we're strictly talking legalities here, I actually can't even file an official report right now regarding what's happening on the ground in the US, because all those reports have to be submitted following specific US laws.
As far as I know, there isn't even a way to submit a valid, official complaint electronically.

Bottom line? I think everyone is heading down the wrong path here and you guys really need to step up and react.
Not because I think I'm a genius or anything—trust me, I don't—but just looking at all the facts currently on the table.

So, according to you, we should just clutter this entire forum with a hundred different threads about affairs and cheaters?
Gregory Ramirez2 said:Look, I’m not gonna sit here and demand anyone gets banned or anything—I'm not that guy—but honestly? Giving out a red card over what was said in that last post is a bit much, don't you think? It feels totally overkill!

Look, even under American law, if someone is just speaking their mind based on the current guidelines, they shouldn't be getting slapped with an insult charge just for laying out the facts!

Look, if someone’s out there working the streets and they call themselves a hooker to your face—it's just facts, right? You can't really get in trouble for just stating the obvious!

Look, when a guy cheats on his wife—especially when he’s physically taking advantage of people by hiding the truth about things that would make them say "absolutely not" to intimacy—that is straight-up narcissistic behavior. Seriously! And from a legal standpoint? That's actually a punishable offense here in the States.

Look, based on everything we just talked about—honestly, you're basically breaking the law here. You're committing a crime and just straight-up ignoring it without even notifying the authorities, especially since there’s more than enough evidence to back it up!

Nothing—and I mean absolutely nothing—comes before the law.

Look, I’ve got all the screenshots to prove it—I am absolutely telling you, I didn't break any rules! It was other people on this forum who were out of line, so I'm seriously asking for some intervention here.

Look, if I haven't made this crystal clear yet, let me lay it all out for you:
So, according to US law, here's what you're actually allowed to do in public:
Look, you gotta call a thief a thief, and if someone’s out there acting like a total fraud or just straight-up lying, you might as well say it! You can call out a liar for being a liar or tell it like it is when someone's being shady—all without landing yourself in hot water for libel or slander. I'm definitely not trying to get all legalistic on you here—that's totally not my lane—but honestly, sometimes you just gotta speak the truth!

And just so we're clear—failing to report a crime that you know is illegal? That's also totally punishable. Not a good look!

I’m really hoping you guys can take a look at what's going on here with an objective eye—strictly by the book, please! And hey, don't go labeling me as some smart-aleck just because I'm pushing back against the mods—that's not it at all. I'm just someone who wants to see my constitutional rights in the USA actually respected!

Look, it's up to you whether you want to report him to the police or not. Good luck! 👍
