Imagine the sheer chaos if it turns out McLaren-Honda has been sandbagging this whole time, just waiting to pull a classic Brawn move and snatch the championship lead from under everyone's noses. 🙏 🙏It would be absolutely priceless. And wouldn't it be equally priceless to see Button secure yet another title by pulling off the biggest technological upset this sport has ever seen? 🙏🙏

I didn't catch any of the practice sessions... 😢
The McLaren-Honda cars look quite solid on this timing sheet. 🙏 Does this imply they've actually made some progress, or are we just seeing two elite drivers performing miracles under difficult track conditions?

We don't even have that option available here. Even if we assume the owner actually has access to it—and considering they're keeping a close eye on the daily logs, plus users can just reach out directly via DM, email, or whatever else—I'd say there's really nothing left to discuss. I'm done with this topic.

Maminho would undoubtedly have launched a thread of unparalleled quality, but if anyone else feels up to the task, perhaps they could start something even remotely resembling his usual standards.

I’m going to go ahead and close this thread once and for all, quite simply, because we have already circled this drain dozens of times: deleting posts is a standard tool in any moderator's kit. Posts are removed when they are off-topic, when they serve as troll bait, or, as we see here, when they descend into pure conspiracy theories. Anyone is welcome to participate in these discussions, but one must maintain a level of decorum and basic civility. That is really all there is to it.

You submitted an appeal, the moderators provided their reasoning and explained their stance, and yet you still find yourself at odds with their assessment. While that is entirely your prerogative, it’s becoming clear that given these fundamentally different perspectives, a peaceful coexistence here isn't particularly likely. I believe it might be best to lock this thread to prevent another round of debate regarding your infractions. If the head moderator or an administrator has anything further to add, I am happy to step aside.

By all appearances, they are looking like Ferrari's B-team. I'm increasingly convinced by what Joe is saying—that they might just be the big surprise of the 2016 season.

If Goofy actually managed to mess something up, his prostate is likely in the exact same condition as it was before. 🤷

I was watching Formula 1 back then as well, though it’s been such a long time that my memory of the actual racing is a bit hazy. Perhaps Tyler Bennett5 might have some insight; he's roughly around the same age as Joseph.😁

I suspect Maldonado isn't constantly wrecking cars because he’s driving above them; rather, it's because he's pushing himself far beyond his own limits.

I honestly feel like mellowtiger83 does a fantastic job analyzing the sport from both a technical and competitive standpoint, at least until he starts talking about Lewis Hamilton—that’s when he turns into this overly critical version of tibija. 😁
sorry Mario, I just had to say it. 😁

Hate speech in signatures?

The moderators on this forum are actual human beings, not some soulless computer algorithms, for at least two distinct reasons. First off, it’s simply more cost-effective. Second, unlike an algorithm, a person can actually weigh what someone has written and interpret it within its proper context. No one among the moderation team—at least from my observation of their responses—mistook this particular instance of self-deprecation for hate speech; they saw it for what it was: irony. I certainly don't believe it qualifies as anything else.
To prevent this thread from needlessly dragging on for another two pages, I’m going to close it here. If the administrator feels the need to make a further statement, she is welcome to do so while the thread is locked.

My posts were deleted and the thread was locked, even though I was being reasonable.

vividfox9, you've had a total of six posts removed this month by four different mods. You aren't under any official sanctions; these are just standard moderator procedures.
As for deleting the thread, we'll have to wait for a mod to handle that.

Initial testing sessions are notoriously unreliable—much like those weather forecasts that swear spring is just around the corner when we're still buried in snow. Still, I find it hard to believe that Ford will allow themselves to surrender such a massive lead without implementing significant technological upgrades during the break. I’d love to be proven wrong, but my gut tells me that at best, Ferrari might start closing the gap. If that actually happens, Sebastian Vettel finds himself in a surprisingly strong spot, primarily because of the inevitable internal cannibalization within Ford and Lewis Hamilton's questionable mental resilience. That said, it's far from a guarantee that Vettel holds the cards here; for him to truly control the outcome, he would need a Ferrari that is at least on par with the Ford.

In the realm of politics, hundreds of posts are wiped away daily. Our moderators simply don't have the bandwidth to send personalized notifications explaining every single deletion. We have touched upon this subject here on several occasions, and I believe there is little need for repetition; however, let us establish a fundamental principle: deleting a post is one of the most routine, common, and relatively mild disciplinary measures available to a moderator. Most deletions occur due to off-topic tangents, trolling, or, as we see in this specific instance, sweeping generalizations. I am closing this thread.

Look, whether you agree with him or not, the thread regarding the unnamed individual is proving to be an absolute nightmare for the moderation team. In fewer than 4,000 net posts, we’ve already had to step in over 1,000 times—and that isn’t even counting the actual bans. Despite issuing numerous warnings, we simply haven't been able to convince users to stay on topic, refrain from insults, or stop the trolling. Since permanently shutting down such a high-profile discussion isn't an option, and considering our mods can't stay glued to their screens 24/7, we have to face reality: leaving this thread unmonitored inevitably leads to chaos, excessive deletions, and a wave of bans. Consequently, we’ve decided to implement a temporary measure where the thread will be locked from midnight until morning, as well as during daytime hours when no available moderator is online.
I realize many of you won't be happy about this. However, beyond preventing the conversation from spiraling into endless debates about WWII and the roles of various factions back then, we expect to see far fewer reports and deletions. Perhaps during these forced breaks, we can all find a bit of peace and collectively decide to step back from those impulsive, reactionary responses to someone else's post.
That is all for now.
