What's next after the White Button? in Music ·
Tyler Grant86 said:It was always there, obviously, but once the Pixies hit it big, it turned into a full-blown epidemic...

Especially within that scene where the Pixies were more or less involved...

When I first saw Sonic Youth, I felt physically ill. It was nauseating... my stomach was just completely turning.

Later on (or maybe earlier), they mentioned at The Rhythm and Heroin how people regularly experience that at their shows, and they actually think it's kind of cool.🙂

🙂 said:Oh, great. I was just thinking about Television myself. Everyone keeps saying they've lost their edge lately, though I’d still love to catch them if they ever toured around here... It’s going to be hard for anyone to match the raw power of Marquee Moon...
So, are they actually working on new material or an album, or just playing the old stuff...

I have no idea what they’re actually playing, and honestly, I just hope they don't end up recording a new album... 🙂 Not everyone is a pro, so they don't always nail the execution...

I’d get Killdozer back together in a heartbeat. I’d throw a wedding, or maybe just a birthday bash, or some ridiculous holiday dedicated to protecting animals, forests, and fairies... whatever it takes. Just as long as they're playing...

A buddy saw them live in Chicago last year and said it was one of the worst shows ever. Basically a cheap knockoff band. They’re just playing notes without having any clue what song they're actually performing

And honestly, even Dick would know that would be a disaster... or maybe not, if they drink enough... 🙂

Animal Collective weren't really my favorite, but man, that concert was phenomenal.

Don't be like that.🙂

PUBLICLY THANK YOU for hauling that couch up to the attic...

Go get a job, you slacker.

Alex Scott22 said:Actually, let me correct myself... what’s on P. is an original project, whereas the stuff on E. is just punk covers... the lineup for both bands is more or less the same. Just wanted to clarify so history doesn't judge us unfairly later on...😬

Plus, Exodus has the worst drummer in the world.
After Steven Hernandez9 finished up, I pulled an all-nighter out on the patio. When I finally walked into the lounge around 3:00 AM, it was quite the sight: DJ Hellsonic was blasting some gritty outlaw country while about 300 empty beer bottles lay shattered across the floor... the only thing missing was a little bit of chaos...

MBM index looks solid.
Instead of grabbing lunch, I'm hitting up a local pub for a beer after work 🙂

I'm showing up to the party with paradise in hand, and all my best colleagues are already there waiting... 🙂>

You really think with all the misery and war going on globally, the world needs your album too?🙄

Requesting a refund🙂

Peter Hall6 said:Is it your birthday today?

No. But I wouldn't mind if it were...
boldscout72 said:You're an idiot. You'll just end up getting your clothes ruined by the crowd during the first song. 😁

And people will preserve those items and one day sell those trashed shirts for huge money on eBay. You clearly have zero business sense.

Besides, the concert is going to be more fun that way...

Laura Long5 said:he was a pushover for them. I read some bootleg reviews (Prindle) saying he couldn't handle the hellish tempo. halfway through the set, he dropped down to eighth notes 🤣

yeah... basically, he couldn't hack it... then he went back to Mark and completely fell apart once he realized those two idiots still weren't on speaking terms 🙂

It’s all in the supplements too... how he mastered the entire setlist between Tuesday and Friday just so they could kick him out after a few shows 🙂

All of them, at different times. 🙂

A few notable quotes:

1. When asked if those rumors about 53rd & 3rd were true, Dee Dee basically said: "It's a lie. People crave sensation and they make stuff up about me. I'm just the bassist for the Ramones." He gave that innocent junkie grin ;-)

2. Dee Dee on Tommy: He was always the weird one. At 21, he actually knew how to buy groceries and cook dinner. The rest of us would just grab a bag of chips and get high.

3. Slavo helped Joey get girls interested in him. Even the ones who weren't on sedatives or other substances.

Anonymous said:So, Americans basically "invented" punk, then some British journalists swooped in, packaged it all up nicely, and sold it back as their own creation.

Even the Brits admitted it... like Joe Stramer in "End of the Century"—the story of the Ramones. Someone bought me the DVD for my birthday at work today. 🙂

The commentary on each individual Ramone is spot on. Like, one guy was a great dude but 1. an alcoholic, 2. a junkie, 3. totally insane, 4. a fascist, or 5. just all of the above combined.

Definitely American.
Was this guy at brk last night too?

🙂

Thanks for the gift...
Expect some trouble coming your way tomorrow.🙂
