just please don't get the tile guy wasted—everyone else is fair game.🤣

Daniel Carter9 said:Haven't seen this before—if you've already got the boiler covered, Silver, then I guess I'll take care of those two pipes. That way, the guy could just swing by with that cabinet, assuming I followed everything correctly... so that's basically the whole list, right?

Yeah, and we're still missing the shower stall—but hey, we can probably scrape the cash together for that whenever we actually need it.

you wouldn't believe it, but that whole hill was basically moved in like an hour and a half or two max 🙂

talk about rapid deployment 🤣

Edward Long73 said:If not, I'll just pass this along to Daniel Carter9—he mentioned he could probably sort out the plumbing situation...😉

Actually, I think I've even got a toilet tank sitting in my garage, still in the box, so I can donate that too if it helps...🙂

that would be awesome 🙂

Anonymous said:I can't do that early... it's a workday... maybe around 5:30. Just coordinate with my girl—she'll hit me up on my cell. Honestly, he doesn't even do anything at his job, just spends all day trolling forums...😁...

As far as I'm concerned, I'm down whenever we can make it work🙂

Since I'm totally out of the loop—did we actually get this stuff sorted out?

Not yet, we’re still waiting on all of it.

Ah... my bad... we actually already headed out.

Just got back.

Two garbage trucks just got hijacked—and there’s still at least half the fleet left out there. 🤦 )

Another window's closed.

The wall guy just swung by to check things out—says he'll be here tomorrow for the prep work and then we’re looking at painting on Wednesday.

So, looks like we might knock out the laminate flooring this Saturday—then hopefully get the kids moved into their rooms by Sunday. 🎉

Shoot me a DM with your info—I'll drop my number so we can figure out when and where to meet up.

We'll be hanging out there tomorrow—anytime from about 10 or 11 until maybe noonish.
Let’s just hang back for a second and see if the guy actually needs a hand with this.

the kids are 4, 9, 11, and 14.

Basically, Sandra Garcia7 laid it all out for us here.

We’ve got two contractors who finished the ceiling, and they mentioned they'd jump back in to help if things don't go according to plan during the actual work window.

Still—better to have more hands on deck, just in case.

We're also going to need more wall paint, since we only picked up enough for two rooms so far.

Anonymous said:😂...just give me a quick rundown of where you guys are at with everything—that way I can figure out which of my services might actually be useful here. instead of "what the hell are you doing"😁😁

Besides just needing more passion for the material itself, we’re also missing this:

toilet flush valves
So, about that shower stall—when are we actually getting it?
Bathroom cabinets with mirrors—honestly, such a game changer for small spaces. If you're looking to upgrade that cramped feeling in your powder room, a sleek mirrored cabinet is the way to go. It’s basically two birds with one stone: extra storage for all those half-used bottles and a much better view when you're actually trying to get ready in the morning. Just make sure to check the depth before you buy, otherwise, you'll be fighting with the door every single time.
Looking for shower and sink piping.

Man, we're still hunting for a good tile guy and a plumber—it’s a total struggle out here.
We’re laying down the laminate this Saturday—assuming the walls actually get finished and dried out by then—so it wouldn't be a bad idea to have someone over who actually knows what they're doing. 🙂
We’re also on the hunt for a mason who can handle some bathroom floor tiling, patch up a few holes, and seal up those gaps around the window frames.

Nathan Ramirez11 said:Angela Newman33, how did the fans turn out in such huge numbers? And what about the rest of us..😕

I'm being serious here..🤷

It’s pretty obvious—they show up because their boss is a loose cannon, so they feel they have to. 😁

As for the rest of us, there were maybe eight people there, maybe a few more if you count the outliers...

but yeah, we were all representing the forum. 🙂

Sandra Garcia7 said:Hey Gleć, how many hands do you need this Saturday? Some buddies from down south are visiting, so we figured we’d tackle the whole backyard together. Might be better than just doing random bits—though I’m probably gonna have to skip out since I've got my own fires to put out...

We're gonna need a crowd 🙂

The truck is coming today to haul away those piles of junk

Depends on how much they actually load up

$167 It's a bit of a stretch, honestly—I don't have the cash to cover two people

If half that mountain of debris is still sitting there, we won't be able to clear it all, so we'll just focus on finishing the bathroom this Saturday

Sandra Garcia7 said:Look, since you clearly aren't part of the die-hard crowd, let me break this down for you. There were about 100 of us crammed onto the light rail—that blue line heading downtown—but the heavy hitters went ahead first to scout the field and check for any security presence, so these photos just show the casual fans. All the real hooligans and fighters are nearby holding down the perimeter for us. Anyway, if you're coming out to check things out on Saturday, bring some gloves—I promised we'd have plenty of snacks and gear, and word is we've still got a ton of beer left over...

and you're the one 🤣

you're toast 😁

Nathan Ramirez11 said:maybe 15-20 people total, with 15 of them being fans...😕

or 15-20 people AND 15 fans...😂

I wasn't exactly counting,
but I'm pretty sure there were at least 8 non-fans, if I recall correctly

and at least 12 fans

Is that specific enough for you?

Where even were you? 😁

Since I didn't really know most of the people there, it was kind of hard to tell who was actually a fan... I'm guessing it was just everyone who headed over to the game after 😁

analogheron19 said:Since I have no clue what kind of gear people are actually going to lug around with them, just try to coordinate with the contractors you’ve been talking to to make sure they've got the necessary tools covered. As for those first two points and the last couple—consider them done. Honestly, tearing things apart and leaving a mess behind is basically in our DNA at this point.😁

Word on the street is there’s gonna be some tools coming—at least, that’s what people are saying.

If anyone tries to play me, they’re gonna find out real quick—things are gonna get messy. 🙂

As long as the beer is cold... let's face it, guys don't run on solar power 🤣
Fan-led charity drives in Fans ·
silentsailor28 said:hehehe, at least the beer guys are sorted out regarding the trash—I know that pile you saw next to the Ford was mostly our mess, but we actually cleared a decent chunk of it. Honestly, if I had the choice, I'd grab that Ford in a heartbeat🙂

The Ford is getting shoved into one of those garages that looks like it might collapse at any second
that was already decided last time

silentsailor28 said:look, without trucks we’re basically screwed tomorrow—sure, we could spend all day out in the yard, but we won't get any of the heavy lifting done.

got a massive to-do list for tomorrow:

- haul all the trash to the pile for Monday.
- sand down the drywall on the ceiling.
- patch up the ceiling.
- install the window.
- tear down that bathroom wall.
- rip out the tub and tiles and toss everything outside.
