Slim Shady did the exact same thing, but I still got a warning in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Drew Reed6 said:The two of us see this clearly. You simply dislike my writing style, so you started targeting me. And now that you’ve been penalized for it, you’re blaming the moderator.

A moderator is obligated to follow the forum rules; they aren't tasked with acting as the sole interpreter of those rules.

The issue isn't merely that someone dislikes what you write. The problem is that you perceive your views as absolute truth—just as rowdyhawk10 does, despite being an anti-Christian. It also isn't about whether you possess any "evidence" that supports your side—because you have ZERO evidence—but that isn't even the core of the matter. The real point is that you feel empowered to label someone a fanatic, perform armchair psychoanalysis, and essentially insult them without anyone intervening. Why? Because apparently, you and the mods are in agreement, so calling someone a "fanatic" isn't treated as an insult at all—it's as if you or rowdyhawk10 hold some higher ground. 😂

And that is precisely why any rational person would hesitate to post on this platform, which isn't even a religious forum to begin with.

For what it's worth, the moderators and rowyhawk10 didn't care for my posts either; I was issued warnings and bans at their whim. When I faced insults, mockery, and direct provocations, he remained completely neutral, seemingly unwilling to jeopardize his standing with the people he seeks to please. I am sorry, my friend, but when we are discussing arguments, stances, and facts, there is absolutely no need for tension, insults, belittlement, or ridicule. This space has seen far too much of that and far too little substantive discussion. The moderators (or at least certain ones among them) have done nothing but foster this toxic atmosphere.

Please, think about it. You express views that the moderator supports. He grants you the freedom to say whatever you wish, including mockery and insults. Yet, when someone else directs that same behavior toward you, they are banned. When they protest such injustice, it is framed as though they simply cannot handle your writing. 😕

Good heavens, what is happening to all of you??? 😕

I don't actually have much time to dwell on this topic; I just stopped by briefly. I want to spend the New Year in peace. 😁 I truly wish the same for everyone, including yourselves. 👍

rowdyhawk10 said:Well, I suppose those forum members writing about the Crusades and such haven't actually caused them, have they? 🙂

I don't quite follow—what kind of nepotism? 😕 (Nepotism is putting relatives in power, isn't it?)
Are you suggesting that atheism is a privileged ideology here on the forum?
I guess we can't really argue against someone criticizing or challenging atheism.
Everyone has that freedom, provided they respect the forum rules and don't insult others who hold different views. Best, 🙂

Are you implying it isn't?? 😂

We can't stop anyone from criticizing or challenging atheism.
Everyone has that freedom, provided they stick to the forum rules and refrain from insulting fellow members who hold different views. Best regards, 🙂

Then why have you handed out so many warnings to people who simply didn't align with your personal "worldview"? What exactly constitutes an insult in your eyes? To be quite honest, I find your own behavior rather contradictory; you've demonstrated that quite clearly and repeatedly over on Religion. You've targeted Christians and Christianity with insults, yet you haven't received a single warning. How is that even possible? 😕
Honestly, I would simply appreciate it if the administrators and those in charge could take a moment to carefully read what is being discussed here, so they can judge for themselves whether these truly qualify as "classic blog posts" or not. While there are certainly some longer entries, I still believe this matter should be considered settled.

Observe this phenomenon:

An alert from Uranium looks like this:

Joshua Brown7, you shouldn't be pasting massive walls of text from other websites onto this thread; it clutters everything up, makes it impossible to navigate, and stifles any real discussion, which goes against the very core purpose of this forum.
I kindly request that you rephrase this topic to focus on answering questions and fostering debate, as the current format lacks meaningful substance.

For more significant or larger links, I believe it would be much better to just provide the direct URL links.

Best regards,

And yet, you conclude by claiming that this specific post from Joshua Brown7 is nothing more than a classic blog post:

For those interested, please visit this online textbook regarding iconography:
http://udzbenik-ikonopisa.com/tiki-index.php

Or consider this post by the atheist, which was also characterized as a mere blog post:

Speaking of icons, for anyone wishing to familiarize themselves a bit better with them, I suggest watching these two short films:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CT1vF...eature=related

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOIWa...eature=related

Then there is this post and link from Joshua Brown7, labeled once again as a classic blog post:

Useful for all followers of Orthodoxy, Roman Catholicism, Judaism, and Islam:

A Glossary of Religious Terms

The atheist titled this post about Orthodoxy in Japan, yet you call it a classic blog post:

...was brought to life by the grace of God through the holy, widely-spread missionary work of Nikolai the Japanese in 1861. The first Japanese person to embrace this saving faith was a Shinto priest and samurai named Takuma Savabe.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yl7R_...eature=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDWbf...eature=related

Joshua Brown7 provides a single interesting fact, a brief explanation, and a link, and you label it a classic blog post:

Fun Fact:

The southernmost church in the world (and an Orthodox one, no less!):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trinity_Church,_Antarctica
http://community.livejournal.com/ru_...tml?mode=reply

Another forum member says:

Here is the link where you can read Lav Karsavin's "Patrology":

Patrology

And you call this a classic blog post?? 😕

Even this post:

I honestly don't see how one could describe it as a classic blog post when it provides a brief explanation along with links for further reading. 😕

Joshua Brown7 is making the same point and providing a link about it:

An interesting program to watch: Agape - Christianity and Cosmology

Yet you claim otherwise?

Take this post, for example:

How could Joe Enter's post be considered a classic blog post? Or how could this post from the atheist be seen as a classic blog post:

?? Out of 22 supposed "classic blog posts," there are barely 5 or 6, which isn't even an issue for any given topic.

I must admit, I am not even remotely convinced by your arguments, especially knowing how you "moderated" the Religion section, and specifically after seeing what you label as "classic blog posts." 🙂 They were simply following the uranium-based advice to include a URL for more extensive topics. They provide a URL, and you respond with—"a classic blog post?" 🙂 And then you shut down their thread because of it?

rowdyhawk10 said:I have officially concluded my participation in this discussion. If anyone wishes to contest anything I have here or here written, I would be more than happy to read it. Best regards to all.

Look, friend, having spent years writing online across various forums, reading and writing blogs, and even moderating boards, I feel I have gained a decent amount of insight into how these things work. So, please explain to me: why exactly is this post considered a classic blog post? 😕 Now, I realize telling someone their post is just a "classic blog post" might feel a bit stinging, but you see similar patterns all over the Religion forum—the way countless threads are started makes absolutely no sense. It is the same story with the subsequent post; I didn't even want to bother looking at the others. Why label something a classic blog post simply because someone shares information about a topic? 😕

You said:

any ideology is acceptable

Is that truly so? 🙂
Ethan Barrett88 said:I have been spending some time reading through various forums out of Mexico via their PDF archives. It was mostly discussions centered around religion, though I never actually participated or even registered an account on any of them.

I am truly curious—which Christian forums have you been frequenting lately? I take you at your word that you won't go searching for my interests on Google, but I would sincerely love to know. 🙂

Kenneth Ortiz97 said:As far as the topic itself is concerned, I find it to be purely anecdotal in nature—essentially just a blog post. There isn't really any substance here to spark a meaningful debate, which makes it rather difficult to engage in any real discussion.

Really? If you ask me, this isn't even a topic fit for a blog. 🤷

The banned user has made a quick return to the fray, so I am opening this up for discussion. Honestly, I am at a loss as to why there is any complaining about it.
If this had happened on any other forum, I would have been permanently banned by now.

There is absolutely no reason for him to be permanently banned. If we were to follow that logic, this PDF would end up containing nothing but moderators—and eventually, they’d find themselves banning one another too. 🙂

Noah King2 said:I am reaching out regarding this issue—and others like it—for the second time now. It seems there is a pattern of harsh treatment toward anyone who doesn't align with Eminem’s religious views. I had previously held the impression that he was a rather tolerant individual, but I must admit, I have almost entirely lost that respect for him.

Don't go looking for any semblance of human justice within this PDF—certainly not God's version either. You won't find it there, so please, don't expect it. 🙂 The moderators seem to believe they can read minds and intentions, acting as if they hold an absolute monopoly on interpreting the Bible. Anyone who dares to disagree is immediately branded as being "infected" or "contaminated by the viruses of dogma." It is truly absurd—they go as far as comparing Jesus to ants and elephants, while claiming that the cross is the greatest evil in human history. 🙂 I won't even begin to list everything. It all gets brushed aside under the guise of democracy and tolerance, even when it feels like a direct insult to you. But apparently, my feelings don't matter; as long as I claim the right to speak my mind, your right to be offended is completely disregarded. 🙂
Ethan Barrett88 said:The distinction between a blog post and a discussion thread isn't actually that vast; an author could easily transform their piece into a conversation starter if they truly wanted to, which I believe is quite simple. If you leave a post formatted as a column without any questions, it remains essentially "empty" within the context of a forum—it functions merely as a blog. However, if you extract specific questions from the text—which can almost always be done—the dialogue becomes dynamic and engaging. When I see those massive posts regarding holidays, the lives of saints, or even the Bible in archaic translations, there is rarely a single question posed to spark a debate; they are just posted into a void. One simply needs to encourage people to talk.

I certainly see your point, but—that particular thread doesn't actually look like the kind of "monologue" or one-sided lecture you're describing. 🤷 I’ve reviewed it myself, and it really doesn't fit that mold. Especially looking at the final page:

An unruly user talks about some prophecy from a certain Christian.

Solomon offers congratulations on the Transfiguration to all Christians.

Aruena asks a single question (regarding the succession of Patriarch Paul).

Solomon provides a brief reply.

You pose a few questions.

Aries asks one question.

Radet replies to Aruena, and then follows up by replying to you in the next post.

Solomon responds to Aries.

Aries poses another question to Solomon.

Radet answers Aries.

Aries makes a remark, noting they would prefer to hear directly from Solomon.

Radet mentions that Solomon will likely answer similarly to him, but he accepts Aries' observation.

Solomon acknowledges Radet's remark and responds to Aries.

DervisMAsikan asks something that even I find confusing.

Radet replies.

Solomon states he doesn't understand what DervisMAsikan is asking.

Radet provides a link to the Bible in an older dialect.

Radet briefly describes the holiday being discussed "tomorrow" (though it is already today, given his previous post).

Eminem chimes in with an "explanation."

I am genuinely curious as to which long-winded posts or blogs you are referring to on this page, especially since the moderator swooped in like a paratrooper, and I don't feel it's fair for them to act that way.
Ethan Barrett88 said:Ha... what Christian forums?

Any of them.

Noah King2 - Uranija and Eminem already flagged this, but I feel like the conversation shifted gears after that. Looking back at a few posts in a row—they aren't inherently problematic, as people discuss similar things in many other threads without issue, and nobody has ever shut down topics like that before. However, the situation here feels like it's a different matter entirely. 🙂
Ethan Barrett88 said:I am in complete agreement; that was my intention all along, rather than any kind of permanent shutdown. Perhaps a temporary lock would be appropriate if the goal is to tidy up the thread, but I certainly don't see a need for a permanent closure right now.

But what exactly needs cleaning up here? Christian threads are constantly swarmed by trolls and spam, which makes having a civilized conversation nearly impossible. This specific thread doesn't actually suffer from issues that would necessitate a cleanup. In this post, Urania explained or perhaps warned about certain blogs and copy-pasted texts, and then Eminem gave a similar warning in the following post—are you aware that doing so at the very beginning essentially showed a lack of respect toward Christianity? 😕 Why isn't that same standard applied to any other topic that directly mocks or attacks Christianity? Even so, the discussion was moving in a constructive direction with various questions being raised. Personally, I feel there is simply no basis for closing this topic. A more serious warning should have been issued, and nothing more.

By the way, how many posts do you actually have on Christian forums? 🙂
Noah King2 said:That is truly a new low! Attempting to disqualify someone based on national identity—as if being interested in certain religious traditions is somehow synonymous with a specific ethnic nationalism. It’s as if they think interest in one implies devotion to the other.

Listen, you know me and you know my principles. I have no desire to sugarcoat things or to unfairly cast blame on anyone. If I had suggested this looked like nationalist rhetoric, or if any other forum member had made that claim, perhaps we wouldn't be in this position. But I genuinely believe that no moderator should ever make these kinds of comparisons. Do you want to know why??

Man, you aren't from Mexico, right? We have an unruly person from the US, Solomon Kane from New York, and Radet from Mexico. Good grief, all this talk of nationalism. 🙏 If some conspiracy theorists had shown up, I might understand the logic, but this? This is pure nonsense.

On that particular thread, on the other hand, I haven't seen anything resembling nationalist rhetoric lately. It is quite low, and frankly, quite rude.

Well, that topic is fine regardless of how you look at it. 🙂

I suppose I will have to post here more frequently now.

You should have, and you absolutely should.

Greetings, Nick, my old friend. 😉

👍 Best regards. 👍
Ethan Barrett88 said:monologue [noun] - 1. literary, theatrical, or cinematic. a long dramatic speech by a single character, delivered to themselves or an audience; a soliloquy.
2. colloquial, derogatory. a lengthy speech or a tedious presentation. ✧ mono- + -log

So please, rest assured, I am quite aware of what a monologue is. It occurs when people simply post without any conversational element whatsoever.

I was actually the one who posted several questions regarding that subject, so it certainly isn't a monologue. If you look at the very last page, you will see seven different users have contributed. This doesn't possess the classic characteristics of a blog. Even if it did, this isn't the only thread behaving this way, nor is this PDF organized so meticulously that we should be nitpicking this specific topic. A simple warning against one-sided posting would have sufficed—and the matter would be settled.

In the context of discussing them, yes; however, it shouldn't serve as a sermon about the lives of saints or a religious calendar. This looks more like a webpage for the Catholic Church. Perhaps you ought to learn the distinction between a blog and a forum. Personally, I have nothing against the subject itself, as I have written on it myself.

I don't have anything against the topic either. In my opinion, it is beneficial to gain some actual information about Christianity rather than just spreading nonsense. Most of the people on this forum know absolutely nothing about the faith. So, even if they overdid it with the blog-style posts on this subject, it is much better to point it out; if the trend continues, then action can be taken. As it stands, the moderator has merely demonstrated their "impartiality"—which is something they really shouldn't do, especially given their role.
🙂
I honestly don't see any objective reason to shut this thread down. I truly don't understand the logic behind closing it. 😕

Eminem, when you provide an explanation like this:

The topic, based on how it was opened and how the discussion is progressing, is essentially just a blog post, so we're going to close it.
If anyone is looking for information regarding Christianity, please refer to this thread: Christianity - 1000 Whys and 1000 Wherefores.
If you have specific questions about Eastern Orthodoxy, you can find up-to-date information at http://www.svetosavlje.org/
Best regards to everyone.

That feels incredibly rude and dismissive on your part, though I fear it's the truth. It would be like telling someone, "If you want to learn more about Islam, just go visit www.islam.org or some other website." 😕 You’ve really overstepped here. The very last page of this thread features seven different users in addition to yourself—and you're calling this a "blog"?? 😕 How many similar threads have been left open without issue? Why should this one be singled out for closure?? 😕

Christian Torres3 said:You should check out rowdyhawk10's explanation to No Nick in the "Ban corner" subsection since it's directly related to this topic.

I honestly wish he could have explained specifically what the issue was; even better, I wish I had been able to provide him with a proper rebuttal myself.

What is the point of someone receiving eight strikes based on a flimsy justification, without any real right to appeal, especially when the moderator himself cannot demonstrate that such a style of moderation is even standard practice?

rowdyhawk10 said:feralpilot0,
I have already explained my stance regarding the unsightly "Worst Biblical Quotes" thread in several places:

* First, here.

* Then, regarding what Christian Torres3 mentioned, please look here; check my post (no. 2) specifically at points 1 and 3, which are relevant to your question.

* And finally, my complete post (no. 6) within that same thread.

* As for this specific comment of yours, I certainly appreciate your desire for more peace and tolerance, but I wonder how that would be perceived by a broader audience if we were to defend such topics? You and I might be believers, but not everyone is! What, then, would those who believe such topics shouldn't be restricted say? We simply cannot defend these subjects, because doing so would mean we’d have to ban every topic where any Holy Scripture, any religion, or any religious founder is criticized. We would end up closing or restricting so many threads that the scope of dialogue would become incredibly narrow, burdened by the feeling that this site had turned into a mosque or a church where those faiths can never be questioned. In such a setup, religions would only ever receive applause. 🤷 Atheists, agnostics, and anyone who opposes a particular religion for their own reasons would feel deprived of their freedom to express their philosophical or religious views. Furthermore, Muslims wouldn't be allowed to criticize anything Christian or from other faiths, nor could Christians speak negatively about Islam or anything else, nor would anyone be permitted to write about another's beliefs... The site would essentially turn into a "mess" where we just send each other pictures of beautiful mosques and lovely cathedrals, singing nice verses from the Bible/Quran to one another (but nothing ugly, under any circumstances!!! 😍). Therefore, the site guarantees freedom of expression for its members, which is our fundamental credo. The manner in which that freedom is exercised (or how it must not be abused) is governed by the rules of the Religion subforum. Anyone is welcome to object if they feel a rule is unjust. But for now, it stands, and it is the law of this site. 🤷

____

Regarding No Nick, Radeta, and the "ugliest biblical quotes" thread... let me add this. Radeta was being fair in that thread; most of the Biblical quotes, such as "it is a glorious thing to split the bellies of children", he attempted to explain in a decent manner. For instance, he provided an exceptionally sound justification—which I personally agree with—that these were times of war, that the threat of extinction loomed over the Jewish people, and that a state of combat readiness was, in some hands, absolutely necessary for the survival of a nation arriving in a new land. His only issue was when he drifted off-topic, such as when he started discussing Buddhism, which is considered off-topic. On the other hand, No Nick didn't attempt to defend a single part of it the way Radeta did; instead, he just kept dropping quotes along with his little interjections like, "Here is another ugly quote—fools mock"—effectively spamming the thread with the intent to derail it and prevent a healthy, dignified discussion of an extremely important epoch in human history: the exodus from Egypt and the arrival in the promised land (which would have justified much of the Bible).

To make it clearer for you, dear feralpilot0, imagine this scenario: Someone opens a thread titled "Ugliest Quranic Verses," and someone posts a verse like this:

2:191. And fight them wherever you find them and expel them from where they have expelled you. And fitnah [persecution] is worse than killing! And do not fight them at the Sacred Sanctuary, while they do not fight you. But if they fight you, then kill them!—let that be the penalty for the disbelievers.

It wouldn't be an issue if a Muslim were to explain the context of a verse—how it’s tied to a specific era or a crisis—the way Radeta correctly did above. But instead, imagine if that same Muslim posted on this thread: "Here is another ugly verse from the Quran: those who mock Islam are fools" (which is essentially what No Nick was doing mockingly). If they did that, that person would deserve the exact same treatment that No Nick and the rest of us received; I maintain that position firmly.

There seems to be an unwritten "rule"... whenever a topic becomes controversial, there are always a few people who refuse to engage in a civil conversation because they fear some terrible secret about their "Truth" might be uncovered... and in doing so, they act directly against their own faith. This isn't just true for Christians, but for many others as well. That's why we prevent these kinds of things regardless of the subject matter or which forum member is involved, because it's simply spam. No Nick was spamming the thread. We would be biased if we defended similar threads regarding Islam, atheism, or Buddhism while allowing those about Christianity to slide. That would be inhumane on our part, and I am sincerely sorry if anyone thought we were profiling people based on their beliefs... or tolerating one group while banning another. That would truly be unsightly, inhuman, and heavy-handed on our end. So far, Mostly, Nicole James, and I have never had doubts in that regard; even though our beliefs differ, we follow a concrete modus operandi when measuring situations and deciding on sanctions. For instance, whenever I make a decision, I think: what would Nicole James or Mostly say? I then weigh the presumed consensus alongside my own view... 😁 though we don't have time to consult everyone individually before every single ban. Generally, we have never intended to favor one group over another... yet that is precisely what we are being accused of here: that Nicole James is biased because she's part of the DIO association, or that I am biased because I am Muslim... but if anything is the truth (which I admitted openly to steelskipper5 earlier), our only bias has been toward Christians, out of respect for them as the majority, ensuring they don't feel marginalized (the other reasons are in the post I wrote to steelskipper5). He, for example, lost his cool and took it out on us because we are—and I emphasize some—lenient with Christians.

One thing is certain, feralpilot0: you can never please everyone in this world! If you ever become a moderator, you'll see how much people complain. There will always be dissatisfied voices, which is why we have this separate Religion PDF to ensure everything is discussed peacefully and every critique carries weight, provided it is argued and linked properly. None of the admins are blind to the concerns of those who care, but it all needs to unfold gradually and calmly. First, through clear arguments, rather than accusations of conspiracies or claims that the moderators hate a certain faith or its believers. We've seen people write about us here in an incredibly inhumane way, treating us like criminals or even degenerates...

That's all from me for now,
best regards,
rowdyhawk10

No, rowdyhawk10, you missed the mark there because you were judging the situation based solely on your own interpretation. First of all, where exactly do you get the exclusive authority to interpret texts that I personally posted? 😕

Just for the sake of clarity, I chose which texts to include from the Story very carefully. My intention wasn't to mock anyone, despite what you've implied, but simply because those texts—if we want to look at it that way—can be viewed through a negative lens. They aren't inherently negative, but that is one way they can be perceived, much like how those supposedly "worst" biblical passages were viewed negatively, even though that isn't their essential nature.

In essence, the whole thread was trolling. It was set up around the Bible and Christianity, yet there was far too much mockery and far too little actual critique. This thread certainly was not intended to and will never serve the purpose outlined in the Rule on Religion.

There seems to be an unwritten "rule"... whenever a topic becomes controversial, there are always a few people who refuse to have a civil conversation because they fear something terrifying might be revealed about their "Truth"... and in doing so, they act directly against their own faith.

An unwritten rule? Where exactly is this "unwritten rule" supposed to be? Furthermore, if someone is recognized as a person who has discussed absolutely everything on this forum—if I have tackled numerous sensitive topics and never once had an issue engaging in civilized, rational debate against the vulgarity, primitivism, cynicism, and sarcasm that I personally endured, as well as the attacks on faith, Religion, and Christianity in general—then I truly believe I can take pride in that. There is no such thing as a taboo subject. It is one thing to claim that someone is afraid of controversial topics or hesitant to uncover certain truths; it is an entirely different matter altogether. Do you truly believe that this type of discussion is merely a collection of criticisms or a symptom of being terrified of exposing famous truths? Honestly, it's a farce. Where is your proof?

You previously mentioned how the Pauline epistles were accepted under false authority, and you even claimed that Christianity itself is built upon fraudulent revelations. To address this, I have started a public thread with the following topic:

The Authorship of the Pauline Epistles

Where have you been hiding when it came time to tackle this sensitive subject? I’ve reached out to you publicly quite a few times—and I know you saw those calls—specifically regarding this matter. Why didn't you show up? This is an incredibly delicate topic, perhaps even too sensitive for most, yet you remained silent. Why wouldn't you step forward so we could discuss it? I was hoping you would join us to finally present those famous truths of yours.

This topic is even more sensitive than the last:

The New Testament Canon and the Council of Nicaea, 325 AD.

Where have you been hiding during this sensitive discussion? What exactly is it that scares you—or anyone else who dares to suggest that Constantine played a role in compiling the New Testament canon, or that the Church simply decided its contents on a whim? I just came across a few more comments like that on Reddit, just enough to keep this conversation going. If you’re truly as brave as you claim, why don't you head over there and tackle these controversial topics head-on? It seems like every crude remark about the Bible, Christianity, and Christ is met with support and encouragement here. Yet, if those exact same statements were made in any other cultural circle, they would be viewed as blatant provocations or seen as spreading religious intolerance. Is it a lack of understanding, a lack of culture, or is there something else at play? Why can't we just engage in a genuinely constructive debate about all of this? Regarding sensitive matters? It feels impossible, doesn't it? It seems as though the goal here isn't actually to reach a constructive solution through discussion, but rather to intentionally cast Christian values in the most negative light possible.

The debate surrounding the Council of Nicaea is essentially the Achilles' heel of all those who critique Christianity. It is the central nerve regarding Nicaea, Constantine, the formation of the canon, and so on—quite simply, it is the most heavily targeted subject out there. So, if you truly believe in your position, why not step up and join us for a public discussion? Don't just talk about it from the sidelines. Dealing with sensitive subjects. And then you turn around and accuse Christians of being unable to handle even the slightest bit of criticism, implying that this isn't even a fair discussion. RedditIt’s much better when you actually have decent threads where you can hold a real conversation. Regarding sensitive topics. You aren't even participating in this discussion. Please, contribute something meaningful to the topic. Let’s try to actually develop this conversation instead of letting everything devolve into primitive insults, vulgarity, and crude language that drags the quality of our discussion far below a decent standard.

The current atmosphere has quite simply driven many intellectuals away from this Reddit thread. It has pushed out the agnostics and atheists, it has alienated Muslims and Christians, and honestly, it has scared off just about everyone else you can imagine. One really has to ask themselves: is this happening because certain people simply refuse to engage in discussions about... Dealing with sensitive topics. Or perhaps it is simply because you find it impossible to engage in a constructive dialogue regarding sensitive topics without being interrupted by trolls—whose only goal is disruption—and without the intervention of moderators, who hold the exclusive authority to interpret all the sacred texts that frequently surface on this forum.

For that very reason, I’m asking you to answer me—especially since you yourself previously stated that any specific point must be weighed against its context. How can you claim that the texts posted by @PIP Boy 2000 are truly the worst passages in the Bible? Honestly, I am more than willing to engage in a public debate with you on this matter. I can demonstrate, based on your own logic regarding context, that these verses aren't nearly as "bad" as they are being portrayed here. Is this distinction actually important to you, or have you become so influenced by the dogmas of Islam—which holds such an intensely negative view toward the Bible—that you find it impossible to see anything else? Why are you hiding behind your moderator mantle instead of being the objective leader you claim to be? If we are going to have a productive conversation, why not clearly define what constitutes a "sensitive topic" so that we can actually discuss them properly?

I also find myself wondering whether there are certain taboo subjects within Islam, and if one is truly permitted to discuss them with the same level of scrutiny applied to Christian themes. Is Islam afforded some kind of special status? It seems as though there are "sacred cows" everywhere; we aren't allowed to question misogynistic passages in the Quran, address calls to warfare, debate whether Muhammad was illiterate, or even discuss the controversies surrounding his marriage and whether he could be considered a pedophile. Can we openly discuss if Islam is inherently more bellicose compared to other faiths, or is there simply an unspoken rule against it? Prohibited. Criticizing Islam, your prophet, or your holy book—is that allowed? I just want a straight answer to this question; I’d like it to be crystal clear for everyone here, not just for my own sake.

I am also prepared to demonstrate to you that every single one of the texts I have posted can be considered... Regarding negative commentary.. ☕ I know this because I was incredibly selective when choosing those texts. I did it specifically because I anticipated you would step forward as a champion of justice and an infallible interpreter of the Bible. However, if you truly consider yourself such an authoritative and unerring authority on the Bible, then perhaps you could actually make a meaningful contribution to this rather... Regarding a sensitive topic. I honestly can't remember which one I started this time—good grief, what have I done?

The Art of Biblical Interpretation, or Hermeneutics.

At the end of the day, you are being completely contradictory to yourself, and frankly, handing out bans without any actual basis. You’ve taken the texts I provided and interpreted them in an entirely different way than intended. The context is negative. It’s quite different from what I originally intended—so why exactly was I handed red cards for that? Negative commentary. I'm not quite sure what you're getting at here. Could you please clarify? Are we really talking about texts that carry such a negative connotation? I was expecting some praise, yet all I received were warnings. Wasn't the whole point of this thread to present biblical texts in an even more pathetic light—based on our own subjective interpretations?

This isn't something that only applies to Christians; it's true for many other groups as well. That is why we step in to prevent this kind of behavior, regardless of the specific topic at hand or which forum member is involved. At the end of the day, it's simply spam.

That sounds wonderful in theory, but the reality is quite different. On the Religion PDF, there is absolutely no such thing as equal treatment for everyone, despite how much you swear by an objectivity that you clearly lack. Once you actually start treating me as an equal, I will demonstrate exactly what I mean, clearly and without ambiguity. For now, you are simply weaponizing the rules against me, against Christians, and against anyone who doesn't align with your personal worldview—all while professing to be objective and impartial. If I were the only one seeing things this way, I would certainly feel a sense of guilt. However, this pattern has been noticed by agnostics, atheists, Muslims, and Christians alike. Your actual conduct on the Religion platform completely contradicts your claims. Here is just one more blatant example that gave me a good laugh yesterday.

The moderator is going to hand out a red card for this one, so I won't quote the entire thing here:

I must admit, I feel a bit awkward bringing this up again, but I truly believe we need to address the underlying tension here. It seems like some discussions are veering quite far from the intended path. While I value everyone's input, there's a fine line between vigorous debate and simply being disruptive. I sincerely hope we can maintain a level of decorum that respects the spirit of our community. Let's try to keep things constructive, shall we?

With an explanation:

Inappropriate language and comments about "getting intimate with others"... we have young kids joining this forum who are just hitting puberty. Please, take a moment to review the rules. Furthermore, any glorification of violence is strictly forbidden, as it runs contrary to the laws of the United States.

😂 This is truly laughable. First of all, for instance, you currently have this topic right here on the front page:

Religious sexuality.

It seems rather peculiar; it appears that young people aren't really frequenting this space, are they? 🙂 It seems like even on platforms like Reddit, things can spiral into pure perversion. 😂 What happened to that thread? The mystery of the bandana.Regarding that site where you have a few photos of undressed ladies—is that actually acceptable, or is it not? I’m honestly just asking because I want to be clear on the boundaries. On a similar note, I’ve been wondering about the sheer volume of posts regarding sexual violence in the Bible; they seem to dominate almost every single discussion within the Religion section. Are those kinds of posts permitted here, even if we consider them from a purely cultural perspective?

No Nick was spamming the thread.

That is not true. ☕ You have absolutely no evidence for that claim. I consider myself an honest and sincere individual, so I feel no need to justify my actions to you, but quite simply, you are mistaken. My only intention was to demonstrate how even beautifully written Biblical texts can be twisted to provide a completely negative context. The point I was trying to make was this: our own subjective judgment shouldn't be the sole metric for determining what is right or wrong. I am glad I managed to illustrate that, even if it cost me eight strikes—it seems clear you've launched a holy war against me, wielding rules that aren't applied equally to everyone, rules you don't even follow yourself, and which you have violated countless times.

We would be showing bias if we defended similar topics regarding Islam, atheism, or Buddhism... while playing favorites when it comes to Christianity.

Fine, does that mean I can start threads regarding the topics I mentioned earlier that pertain to Islam? Will someone receive 500 points for those kinds of topics, or perhaps a smaller penalty, a ban, or something of that nature?

That would be inhumane on our part, and I am truly sorry if anyone thought we were singling people out based on their beliefs... or tolerating things for some that we prohibit for others. That would indeed be something extremely ugly on our part—inhumane and aggressive...

It pains me that I cannot trust you, for several reasons. I could put my faith in Nicole James or Mostly, but I can no longer extend that trust to you. You have singled people out based on their convictions because you were bold enough to label Christian beliefs and values as meaningless or false—is that really how a moderator behaves? I told you before that you have contradicted yourself through both your posts and your moderation style.

Up to this point, Mostly, Nicole James, and I have never had disagreements in that regard, and even though our beliefs differ, we have followed a specific modus operandi when measuring certain situations and making decisions about sanctions. For instance, whenever I make a decision, I always ask: "What would Nicole James or Mostly say?" And then I make my decision by weighing the presumed collective stance against my own view...

It is peculiar that I have received the most strikes from you, yet I am not the only one (Nicole James only received two, and no one else received any). It is also strange how even Nicole James didn't agree with a few of the strikes you handed me; I asked him via private message and that was his response. However, I didn't press the issue regarding my own strikes until I was hit with a staggering eight strikes on a single thread that only had 79 posts, followed by your latest message explaining why you are closing it. It is odd because even some admins have told me that I received strikes for certain posts without justification, but once again, I never pushed the matter further.

The fact that someone, whether it was steelskipper5 or whoever, complained that you all are too lenient toward certain Christians or that you should hand out more strikes—that same critique could easily be leveled at how you treat atheists and others; it’s just a much larger conversation. Once that Religion PDF actually becomes what its title suggests, perhaps things will change. Until then, the primary roles are played by personal judgment and perceptions, rooted in the worldviews of you moderators rather than what is truly fair and just.

The worst part is that I don't see any decent replacements on the forum anymore... too many of us have already left.

I suppose I am being a bit too blunt here—but I agree. Remind me, did you actually moderate under this handle a few years back??

You both are being far too tedious. 🙂 I started this thread so we could have some actual fun without worrying about getting banned or moderated. LOL

Steven Clark2, you're invited, along with enky, hi fi, and the rest of the crew. 👍

Enrique, I am inclined to agree with your assessment. However, I firmly believe there is always a way forward. 🙂 Please, do not let Slim Shady or anyone else trouble you. Frankly, his opinion is of no consequence to me. 🙂

Rebecca Rivera2 As stated by:
I have decided that I simply cannot afford to waste any more of my energy on institutions where people like that are allowed to manufacture their own version of justice.

So? What's the problem? There is absolutely no reason we can't have a little fun around here. 😍

I sincerely hope that my meaning comes through clearly to you.

Of course. I consider myself a rather reasonable person. lol

To make matters even more absurd, I am not actually a Christian myself.

I have this persistent suspicion that you are actually a Shintoist merely masquerading as a Christian. Well, I must say, you haven't managed to pull the wool over my eyes. 😂

If those who consider themselves far more devout Christians than I am find satisfaction in this kind of vitriol, then who am I to step in and prevent them from indulging in such masochistic behavior?

I find myself somewhat perplexed by the usage of this possessive pronoun in its plural dative form.Their own.Does this refer to Christians, or those who actually spit? I am a bit confused here, because if we are talking about Christians, it seems somewhat illogical to suggest they would find any enjoyment in such an act. 😕

I will never be a "devout Catholic," even if by some miraculous stroke of luck I were to find myself in that position.🤣As an atheist, I can say with absolute certainty that I would never aspire to be a major shareholder; in fact, I don't think I would ever want to be a shareholder at all.

You are obsessing over this whole Dividend Reinvestment Plan nonsense. Honestly, just change your strategy and leave all that baggage behind you. Why does it even matter to you who is positioned where or what anyone else is doing? It’s all just noise. I have to admit, seeing people get so worked up over these trivialities really gets under my skin—it’s about as aggravating as a sudden rice shortage in China. 😂
It seems we are destined to be perpetually governed by those puffed-up individuals who possess nothing more than a desperate, hollow craving to be "someone important."

Life can be incredibly harsh sometimes, but we simply have to keep moving forward.

At the end of the day, what is the point of utilizing virtual spaces if the atmosphere within them remains toxic?

Perhaps you might even cross paths with someone from this community here—who knows? I certainly hope you’ve managed to pick up a few things along the way. If you haven't, then I suppose there's no need to worry about the DIO or Ego- issues and all those other technicalities. 😂 Excurs - shouldn't that be at the end of the concept? 🤔
I might post things on other PDFs occasionally; let's stay in touch...

Fair enough. I just know you won't be sticking around long, so it would be wiser of you to set some boundaries and clarify that you won't be active here indefinitely. And please, don't act indecisive; I'll genuinely start thinking you're just some kid between 18 and 20 years old. 😲

Wishing you all the best.

Not for you. 🙂 For you, I wish for struggles and hardships, so that you may grow and learn—so that through your own falls, you realize that success is only possible because of them. I hope that through every trial, you come to understand what someone beautifully once said: that the soul would never see the light if it hadn't known tears. When one is flawed, one truly understands what Dostoevsky meant when he wrote, "Love me if you can, while I am dirty and sinful, for anyone would love me if I were washed and pure." God loves us even when we are messy and sinful; why would He care about outward perfection? There is room in heaven for everyone. 😍 Is that sufficient?

It doesn't matter, and honestly, who even cares? 🤷

Come on, everyone, let's just lighten up a bit and relax. Where is the fun? Where is the sense of humor? 🙂

Kate Fisher73 said:Therefore, I am joining you in this "Religion" PDF thread, as I no longer have any desire to write anything else here (aside from perhaps posting a few photos in the thread about religious landmarks and iconography through film and photography).

Oh, Kenneth Peterson5??? Seriously, people, can we please just chill out and relax for a moment? What is wrong with you all? 😢
