I guess if they’re going to start targeting pregnant women like this, they might as well just shut down the men’s and women’s sections entirely, since every single topic lately has been either mindless small talk or totally off-topic. 🙄
Look, if we have one dedicated thread for pregnancy, why can't people just use it to talk about what they bought? I don't get it. Even moms-to-be need to shop, and honestly, finding clothes that fit is a bigger headache for them than it is for the rest of us—especially with how crazy prices are right now. Or we could just start a fashion thread specifically for maternity wear where everyone posts pictures. I seriously don't follow the logic here. Same goes for cooking or talking about the weather. If we're worried about flooding the boards with posts, just set a page limit. Trim the excess and clear it from the server. Isn't that way easier than scattering ourselves across ten different sub-forums and cluttering everything up? 🤷
Rebecca Vaughn7 said:Aaron Garcia36, here’s my take: it's totally possible your cycle is just acting up because of the flu. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me one bit. But if I were you? I’d definitely run the test again. That control line shows up regardless of how diluted your urine is; it just proves enough liquid hit the strip, it says nothing about the concentration. One piece of advice: DO NOT waste your money on Gravignost. I've found the cheaper SignTest works fine, and even the pricier IntimPlus is better. However, if you're feeling desperate—and looking at your posts, you clearly are—there is a much better way. It won't cost much more than those kits, and it's 100% accurate: go to a private lab for a blood test to check your beta hCG levels. That’s the hormone produced during pregnancy that all these tests are hunting for, but a blood test doesn't mess around. If you live in a major city, there's bound to be a private lab nearby where you can get this done. You'll usually have the results the same day or the next, and it costs around $130-$$60. In a place like New York, I’d probably head straight to Labcorp (and there are plenty of others), or maybe Quest Diagnostics in a city like Los Angeles; I can't speak for everywhere else.

I am seriously starving right now. It’s getting ridiculous. Today I just managed a warm grilled cheese, and then my "standard" lunch was basically toast, some pasta, and a tiny bit of tuna. I think I'll go hunting for some dairy-free cheese today. As far as fruit goes, I'm just tossing whatever—bananas and apples.
Once this whole thing is over, I’m going to feast. This stuff drains you so much; you're constantly hungry while trying to juggle a million other things on your to-do list.
You can use vegan cheese; they usually serve that kind of stuff with pasta in hospital meal plans. I never actually had salmonella or anything like that, but back when I was stuck in the GI ward, everyone was being fed that exact same menu, no exceptions.
Carol Smith43 said:I checked it out. I'm actually thinking about trying a little bit of tuna, since cheese always makes my stomach turn, so that's off the table for me. Do you think I could stick to this a little?
Tuna is pretty fatty, honestly I’d pass. But maybe some cod or another white fish baked in foil? 😉 I'm not a fan of peach compote in those nutrition charts, but everything else looks pretty solid.

Or it could just be your bladder. Honestly, those girls gave you solid advice—stop peeking. We've all been there, poking around when we shouldn't, and trust me, you don't want to see everything we've seen. 😉
I read your story on both threads, and honestly? You need to stop hunting for problems that aren't there. If you’re passing little pellets 😁, you're fine. Seeing bright red blood is actually pretty standard—just go see a doctor. Don't waste money on some specialist; just hit up your regular GP. 99% of the time, they'll tell you it's just hemorrhoids caused by straining too hard when you're trying to go 😉.
It usually stretches out until maybe February—that's when the ultrasound happens, so you'll finally know if you need to keep going. To be honest, I can't quite remember how long it used to last thirty years ago... maybe even as long as the kid is still in diapers 🤷
Avoid using Coal when you've got a virus going on. It slows down your digestion, which basically just gives the virus more time to hang out in your system. You might end up dragging the whole illness out or making things even worse than they already are.
I went through this whole bladder infection nightmare about ten years ago. It was happening basically every month. I’d walk around my apartment barefoot, and then the next time I had to go, it was pure fire—visible blood in my urine and everything. Of course, I went through the whole drill: antibiotics, cranberry juice, parsley tea, you name it. Back then, cranberry wasn't even the big thing it is now. Honestly, I finally kicked it by just focusing on my immune system. I cleaned up my diet a bit, took some basic vitamins (nothing fancy or overpriced), and most importantly, I started walking barefoot more often. I started at the beach, moved to the hardwood floors during the summer, and eventually transitioned to tile. Apparently, that was the "secret sauce" for my inflammation, because I haven't dealt with an infection in years. 🤷
There’s always some random bug going around these days, so you can never really tell if what you've got is just part of the seasonal wave without checking in with a doctor. 😉
Honestly, just try some Advil or Tylenol today and tomorrow first. If things don't clear up, then go see a doctor.
I remember this one spot back in my hometown—near a small town outside of St. Louis, maybe about ten miles out from the main city. It actually gained some notoriety because of a massive livestock issue they had there once. Check it out here: here’s the article on them Good luck 😉
So my stepdad had his cyst surgery this past Wednesday. Turns out it was bigger than expected, so they ended up clearing out his sinuses too because of some inflammation. He had to go under general anesthesia for the whole thing. By Thursday morning, he was already begging for 😁, which is pretty typical. The surgery went fine, though he’s definitely looking a bit swollen. They pulled his drains today, and he's managing to eat soft foods—not using a straw like the nurses tried to scare him into doing. He'll probably be discharged
There was another guy in his room who had a smaller, lower cyst taken out under local anesthesia on Tuesday, and he actually got to head home yesterday
