Just my own thing
Back pain help!!!! in Health ·
It really depends on where you go if you want to check wait times, but honestly, it’s probably best to just look into it yourself... Just one little thing, though—don't even dream about going under the knife without an EMG first. I mean, any decent neurosurgeon wouldn't even consider an operation unless they had those EMG results in hand, even if they had ten different MRIs sitting right there on the desk.
Nathan Moore95 said:just chill out, man... if I'm not actually trying to push some product and I'm just sharing a win, there's really no reason for you to be riding my case in this digital space here

Look, as long as you aren't acting like a total bot trying to hawk some cheap junk from Gap or whatever... then we're pretty much good, and you're basically one of my closest buddies...😍....
Managing insulin curves in Health ·
That’s just the classic OGTT—the old-school oral glucose tolerance test. I can't quite recall the exact numbers off the top of my head, especially when we're talking about those specific mmol/L units, but looking at this, it seems like everything is mostly in the clear.
Nathan Moore95 said:I’ve actually known a bunch of people who have managed to drop like 10 to 15 pounds a month without ever touching a fad diet or starving themselves, just by following this healthy weight loss program I'm on right now... and honestly, it’s working wonders because I'm already down about 7 pounds in my first month.🙂

I'm just sitting here watching you...🙂Look, if I see one more ad popping up for some "miracle" detox water, a magic powder, or some sketchy link promising a god-tier weight loss formula, I’m gonna lose it—you’re getting kicked straight into outer space.
Honestly, whatever the case may be, just let a 91-year-old be; they don't need all that stress from endless doctor visits and aggressive medical interventions.
Help explaining these weird symptoms in Health ·
If you’re being treated like a psychiatric case, then you should already have a professional opinion and an actual diagnosis on file. Honestly, how can anyone give you any real advice when things are that heavy? You really need to go out and get a second opinion, but not here on Reddit—go talk to someone in the real world.
Herbalife thoughts? in Health ·
Herbalife is getting zero points from me... not here, and definitely not like this... this PDF isn't some cheap knockoff from a clearance rack at TJ Maxx ☕
Alright, look, we all caught on pretty quick that you showed up to your appointment without any paperwork and that the doctor didn't exactly give you a warm welcome because of it... Honestly, this thread isn't going anywhere except toward a massive blowout fight, so I'm locking it down. If you actually feel like there's something legitimate to complain about, you should probably take those specific concerns straight to the Agency at the facility you visited. Just making broad generalizations like this doesn't solve anything; it just starts arguments, which is exactly what we're trying to avoid here.
Taking the risk? in Health ·
Look, if you've been stressing out for a whole year since the baby was born and she keeps telling you it's fine, just go get tested already. There’s really nothing else I can tell you besides that.
Locked.
Honestly, there’s zero need to go on some crazy strict diet or anything. I'm just eating whatever I can get my hands on, pretty much the same way I was before my surgery.
Insurance coverage for specialist visits in Health ·
There definitely is. You could try taking a slightly more aggressive approach, or if you’re really hitting a wall, just head straight to the ER and you can get a referral from a doctor at UPS.
Internal organs... in Health ·
Sandra Wood45 said:So, I’ve actually got a question myself—what could be causing this pain in a guy who’s pretty much healthy and lives a decent lifestyle? He’s in his thirties and the ache is on the upper right side, not under the ribs like gallbladder stuff, but way up high near the armpit area.

Sorry, Scott Allen10, I know this is a bit random, but I can't really drag him to a doctor when he's been dealing with this constant discomfort for years now. He says it feels like his whole right side is acting up, but it always settles in that one high spot. 😕

I deal with my own gallbladder issues, so I have a pretty good idea of what that specific kind of pain feels like, but this is totally different and I'm stumped. 🤷

I’m sorry, but there’s really no way to say anything for sure here without just guessing.
And like Sam Hall15 mentioned, the list of possible causes is honestly endless...
People keep mentioning some kind of one-month rule, but honestly, I’ve never actually seen an official handbook or anything that lays it out like that. Not that I went hunting for it, mind you. If you really want to know, just give the lab a call and ask them directly. It usually just depends on the place—some will be sticklers about it, while others won't care at all.
Side effects of Ephedrine? in Health ·
We don't use ephedrine on this forum!.....just saying.
Every once in a while after spinal anesthesia, you get these absolutely brutal headaches that just won't budge, no matter what kind of meds or therapy you throw at them. It’ll pass eventually, though—I don't think anyone ends up with permanent damage from it. Sometimes doctors try that "patch" method to help out, but honestly, that's becoming pretty rare these days.

From what I've seen on the floor, the real culprit behind these headaches is almost always patients just not following the post-op rules. To prevent these exact kinds of complications, we tell everyone they need to stay lying flat on their backs for the next 24 hours... but nope, it never works out that way. Suddenly they're thirsty and can't drink while lying down, so they have to call someone, but their phone is tucked away in a locker, so they end up trying to yell to a neighbor in the next room... and then, when those headaches finally hit, they're looking for help.
Sudden spike in iron levels? in Health ·
Iron jumping from 9 to 26 in just ten days?! ...hmm....that's actually pretty wild...
Make sure you’re drinking plenty of water today, seriously...
Roger Martinez8 said:I was actually thinking about my own flesh and blood—specifically my kid. I don't want them to be stuck in some nightmare scenario if an accident happens—you never know, right? I've been careful for years, but... I just wouldn't want a situation where they desperately need an organ and I've already told everyone else "no" across the board.

But even if that kind of option were on the table, it doesn't necessarily mean your organs would be a match for your loved ones based on compatibility.
There’s such a thing as living donation, which isn't used nearly enough here in the States yet, where you can donate a kidney or a portion of your liver, but that person has to be a perfect tissue match according to all the testing. On top of that, there's a whole mountain of other medical criteria you have to meet before a donation like that can even happen.
Honestly, it sounds like your doctor didn't really break things down for you. If they had actually given you the full picture, you wouldn't be out here mixing up apples and oranges or getting caught up in all those weird urban legends that always seem to cloud these kinds of conversations.

If you're genuinely looking to wrap your head around how brain death and organ procurement actually work—and I don't want to make you re-read this entire thread from scratch just to find some clarity—you should start by checking out this page and going from there...
