I just went through a private full-body dermoscopy checkup, and they flagged two suspicious moles—one on my forearm and one on my back—so I need to get them removed. Does anyone have a rough idea of what the wait times look like in Washington, D.C.? Specifically at places like Rebro, Vineyard, the Institute, or Dubrava? Thanks a million!

With a BMI sitting somewhere between 27 and 28—so, technically in that overweight territory—I've been looking into options like Saxenda, Ozempic, and those other similar medications. 🙄

Ashley Walker56 said:Hey everyone,

Just thought I’d jump in here and share a quick update. I started this journey back on April 1st at about 142 pounds—and since I’m pretty short, every little bit counts—🙂
Right now, I’ve hit the 132-pound mark, which means I’m down 10 pounds since I first started the treatment. 🎉

Wait, how low is "low" when you're starting at 142 pounds for this kind of therapy? 😕

I ended up booking an appointment with Dr. Grgić over in Napa—it was actually a recommendation because my sinuses have been absolutely killing me lately. Fingers crossed everything turns out okay! 🤷
Side effects from antibiotics in Health ·
I’m actually sitting here right now nursing a dose of Augmentin for these sinus issues, and honestly—I feel absolutely wiped out. I can't quite tell if this total exhaustion is coming from the constant pain and my nose being completely stuffed up, or if it’s just the medication itself kicking in. 🤷

So, I have a friend—let’s call her Ima—who started at about 212 pounds, if I recall correctly, and now I’m thinking she’s down to somewhere around 170 or 172. She basically eats everything, but just in tiny, tiny little portions. At first, the weight loss was pretty slow—which was super discouraging for her since she was dealing with a ton of side effects—but then, after about three months, things really started to pick up speed.

Does anyone think this could be related to the dosage? For the first month, she was on 0.25, then she did a month at 0.5, and then she finally moved up to 1.

My sister has been dealing with these constant headaches for about a month and a half now—all because of the Ozempic. She’s actually been on it for six months already.
So, I was feeling around yesterday and stumbled upon this little lump—about the size of a hazelnut, really—right on my collarbone, right where it meets the breastbone. It feels hard, totally stationary, and honestly, it doesn't hurt at all when I touch it. Since there isn't anything similar on the other side, I’m pretty sure it isn't just some weird quirk of my anatomy. Should I be calling my doctor immediately to get this checked out, or is it okay to wait a few days to see if it just decides to vanish on its own?

Olivia Jackson64 said:I don't know if anyone else has picked up on this—it feels like there's constant footage of food on TV lately. Whether it’s a commercial or just some random scene in a movie, everyone is always eating, cooking, or snacking away. Seriously, is there anything on television where people *aren't* eating? It's either a cooking competition show or some cheesy reality dating show where they're all sitting around devouring cheesecakes (I mean, why?). Even the weather report seems to be the only thing safe from it right now—though I wouldn't bet on it, they'll probably start snacking during the forecast soon too! :-)

🤣🤣🤣

Who’s the best ENT specialist in Chicago for sinus issues if I'm using a referral? Thanks!

Olivia Jackson64 said:Megan Anderson5, honestly, losing those 13 pounds feels like such a massive win to me—and I’m telling you, use that as your psychological fuel to keep going! Now that you’ve started, just try to incrementally bump up your activity levels or sneak in some extra calorie burning whenever you can. But please, don't rush it—this whole thing is a marathon, not a sprint, so don't let yourself get sucked into the frantic race or the hysterics.

I'm speaking from personal experience here—mostly for my own sake, really—but definitely for yours too!

And seriously, just ignore the trolls.🙂)

What's your daily dose of Metformin? And how long have you been on it?

I personally couldn't stomach the nausea, which is why I ended up quitting Metformin altogether—though, looking back, I see things tend to get worse over time, so I'll eventually have to face the music. You're absolutely right, though; you need to run all the tests first to see if there's actually something to worry about.

Keep me posted, I'm genuinely curious, and thank you so much!!!!

My dad has been on Metformin for twenty years because of his diabetes, and he's found that it's easier on him with certain brands than others—some give him more nausea or that heavy feeling in his stomach while others don't. Don't give up just yet; try to find the specific brand that bothers you the least.
Johns Hopkins Hospital ER... we've got a guy there who's already survived four heart attacks—running a sky-high pulse, sharp chest pains, struggling to even catch his breath—and he was sent straight to the emergency department by Lockheed Martin... yet he sat there waiting for over two hours before finally being admitted to observation, all after three frantic pleas at the intake desk. Honestly, I have nothing but questions about how they actually define their triage priority levels. 👎
Caffeine addiction? in Health ·
This past summer, while I was vacationing down by the coast, I made a point of only having my coffee out on the beach in the mornings—and honestly, despite the sweltering heat, I felt like I had so much more energy. I was walking constantly, swimming, sleeping less, and actually finding it easy to get out of bed when the sun came up. Granted, I was also eating fewer carbs—ugh, we all know how that goes—so that definitely played a part in things. But back home, once the afternoon rolls around and my journal time starts, I just find myself craving a coffee and a square of chocolate... it’s more of a little ritual than an actual necessity at this point, really. Still, I think I might try sticking to the morning-only rule for two weeks just to see if that seaside theory holds water or if I'm just imagining things.

Living with Lymphedema: Tips and Support in Health ·
Starting a new thread here... I don't personally deal with lymphedema, but I’m sure those of you who do have someone in your corner—a specialist who really knows their stuff when it comes to manual lymphatic drainage. If you have a recommendation for a great practitioner, please shoot me a private message! Thanks! 🙂
$267 Orthopedics??? What an absolute joke. Going to a private orthopedic clinic is basically just throwing money down the drain $83.

The 8oz one usually runs about $25—$23 I always have it sitting on my bathroom counter at home, but of course, I forgot to pack it for my vacation. Since I basically just tore the skin open and wasn't even bleeding much, I just wiped it down with a disinfectant wipe. It’s healing up okay now, but I’ve still got this lingering scar—and that’s even after the spot actually got infected.

I really messed up by not grabbing some Aquaphor spray instead of just going with Band-Aid. I went into the pharmacy specifically looking for that Band-Aid ointment to speed up the healing process—you know, the good stuff—but they were totally out. So, naturally, I grabbed the Band-Aid spray instead, which is basically just a liquid bandage... and well, let's just say it was a complete disaster. It stings like crazy when you spray it on, and then it seals the wound shut so tightly that nothing can drain—it basically stops the wound from breathing entirely. Because of that, a section actually started getting infected, so now I’m stuck using Neosporin powder to get it under control. Of course, a crusty scab formed, too. Honestly, things finally started looking up once I switched to La Roche-Posay Cicaplast cream, since the wound wasn't even a "classic" injury to begin with. Anyway, that’s my experience—just wanted to share so nobody else makes the same rookie mistake I did.

So, about two days ago, I took a bit of a tumble and scraped my knee right on the concrete—it’s roughly a 5x3cm patch of raw skin. It didn't actually bleed much, though it was weeping quite a bit of clear fluid on the first day. I was quick to disinfect it, and now—whenever I’m staying out of the sun—I’ve been applying La Roche-Posay Cicaplast, but once I head outdoors, I make sure to use Neutrogena SPF 50+ on my face to be safe. The whole thing just feels so tight and stinging, especially when I'm out in the water. How can I speed up the healing process? And more importantly—how do I prevent this from turning into one of those stubborn brown spots that sticks around for three years because of sun exposure? Thanks so much!

Look, I’ve had these specific special characters since I first signed up back in 2010—all I was trying to do was strip out four little letters.😕
But then {{username}} tells me that adding any extra symbols is strictly against the rules. Honestly, I wouldn't even dream of adding anything new to my handle that wasn't already part of my original setup.
