Honestly, I think The House of Flying Daggers would have been a hundred times better than this.
Keanu Reeves 🤦
It doesn't even start out bad, it just sort of morphs into straight-up trash halfway through, I guess.
That last scene where he hits the like button 🤦

black Keanu
So, I guess according to this logic, Canada and Mexico are doing just fine, while America is somehow the bad guy. 🙏

What kind of extremist apologist garbage are you guys even posting in this thread? Honestly, I think every single one of these posts should just be hard-deleted and tossed straight into the trash.

It’s honestly disgusting. Trying to justify atrocities is probably the worst crime there is.

I knew what I was getting into (and so did you), so take it or leave it. It’s not some cinematic masterpiece, but it’s worth a watch if you have the time.

Based on what?
The teaser and those promo shots really made it look like something special, you know, like it was going to be this epic graphic novel adaptation or a massive action flick, so I guess that's where the letdown comes from.

No one is actually saying this is just some genre flick if you bother to read more closely. I guess people just use the whole "genre" label as a pathetic little excuse to avoid talking about what’s actually happening on screen.
Love or Power? in Psychology ·

Yeah, it really is interesting, I guess.
The second someone who was playing hard to get suddenly becomes available and that whole "crash and burn" feeling happens, you just know it wasn't actually love—it was just a desperate grab for control, maybe.

Real love doesn't require you to chase someone down or set up these elaborate little traps; if they're the right person, they're just there, and honestly, I can't even imagine it working any other way.

It’s honestly kind of a slog and feels way too drawn out.
You go into it thinking those horns might actually represent something profound, or maybe they're some clever way to poke fun at traditional perspectives, but instead, you just get stuck with a scene that feels like a cheap rip-off from an Iron Man movie or some other mindless blockbuster nonsense.
It’s a total anticlimax.
Henry Campbell5 said:I'm not even talking about prison in general, I mean specifically The Shawshank Redemption. Honestly, even the title itself feels a bit pathetic if you think about it. And that whole vibe where the guard has this miserable, pathetic look on his face every time he screws him over, or how things seem to go great when he manages to set up Morgan... I know they don't show it explicitly on screen, but I guess, I don't know, how else would a killer like that actually end up liking him?

Thanks! I'm right there with you.

It’s just so incredibly forced, and then you have Clint just giving off this subtle spark of genius, you know, someone who just knows his stuff without having to drone on with all that heavy-handed philosophy.

Aside from real life getting in the way, I just needed some actual time to digest everything and wrap my head around the context here.
Now that I’ve finally finished chewing through the whole thing, I honestly don't see what the big deal is.
It’s just basic logic, really—someone who's been desensitized is obviously going to find it much easier to go through with the slaughter than someone who nearly faints at the mere sight of blood.
And look, if you actually view suffering as a bad thing, you're naturally going to have a stronger moral compass than someone who treats it like a hobby or, you know, a standard Tuesday.
These are just scientific facts, and I fail to see where Mod went wrong, other than the fact that his writing style clearly rubs some people the wrong way.

I mean, honestly, if someone’s going to make such an obnoxious claim in those controversial posts by Endymion, they really ought to have some actual data to back it up, rather than just relying on their own gut feeling or whatever instinct they think they have, because we all know what most of that is actually based on in most cases. It's just pure bullshit, I guess.

Honestly, it’s just an embarrassment, I guess.😢

So, I was just sitting here wondering... did some hillbilly types from out of town beat up Luka Ritz, or was it more like those aggressive city punks? I guess it’s hard to say with these kinds of fights, maybe.

Honestly, I feel like philosophy is just beating a dead horse ☕ most of the time it’s just people killing time because they don't have anything better to do with their lives anyway

I honestly don't get why you're being so aggressive—trying to shut down my take on other people's posts by calling them stupid and insisting the problem is me. It's not like I have an issue with you, or anyone else on this forum. Not at all! Did I ever actually call out anything you wrote as nonsense just so you could try to get even? 🤷 Luckily, we're over in the Psychology subforum. 🙂

She's clearly showing some serious intolerance here.
The ones who always claim to be 'victims' are usually the very same people who would be doing the victimizing if they actually had the chance.😉

I just don't see that kind of intolerance, personally; I tend to steer clear of those types, but what I *do* see is how unwilling people are to actually have a discussion, which is usually accompanied by a total lack of common sense. ☕
