Maybe you have some setting enabled with your carrier that lets you send emails via SMS? I noticed you registered using a Verizon email address. I used to have that feature turned on back when I was with Verizon.

You aren't allowed to participate in the same conversation using two different handles, even if it's within the same thread. Basically, if it's a massive group thread, it contains many distinct conversations.

Leaking private messages containing discussions between moderators and users regarding moderation policies and similar matters won't result in any punishment.

Yes.

But you don't actually have to do that "manual" work yourself. Pretty much every image host automatically creates thumbnails from uploaded images. Most of them even hand you the ready-to-go Reddit code for clickable thumbnails right away.

There is a difference between registering a new username and the actual rules for changing one.

It isn't about whether it's 32-bit or not. The reality is that for certain tasks, 4 GB is simply insufficient. For instance, say you buy a high-end HD camcorder to film family events. You want to edit those clips, organize them, or maybe add a transition effect. Good luck with that. 👍

Maybe it's less obvious today. But in a few years, 4 GB definitely won't be enough for most people.

A 32-bit OS theoretically can't address more than 4 GB of RAM. The math is pretty straightforward:
A 32-bit OS => addressing uses a 32-bit binary number => there are 2^32 different combinations of digits in a 32-bit binary number
2^32 = (2^2) * (2^10) * (2^10) * (2^10) = 4 * 1024 * 1024 * 1024 = 4 GB
In short, 32-bit operating systems are ancient history.

(In reality, they can't even hit the full 4 GB, just like Jack said.)

From what I can tell, they didn't suddenly drift off-center; they were never aligned to begin with. You could ask the local moderator to fix them for you, but given how many photos there are, don't be surprised if he says no.

I agree with you regarding the lack of substance. However, I disagree concerning the AdBlocker. It functions exactly according to your own settings.

Excuse me? You just install AdBlock and add one single entry: ads.monitor.com. That will only block ads on Reddit and Monitor. And if you actually want to see ads on Monitor, you just add an exception for it. How on earth is that messing up anything else?

Look, anyone with half a brain who knows how to navigate vBulletin can figure out that users can leave notes on one another. We know how to use them. But those notes are meant for technical housekeeping—stuff the software should be handling automatically but fails to do. I'm talking about logging rule violations or tracking username changes. That accounts for at least 95% of all entries. Anything else is incredibly rare.

Why would such a thing even be necessary? This isn't some democratic platform where the staff is elected by majority vote, requiring an oversight body. This site has one owner who decides how everything functions. The owner chooses the admins, not the users. The owner also oversees all moderators. If you don't like it, buy the site and do whatever you want, or go somewhere else, like Usenet which has no owner.

Something similar happened to me yesterday. It’s highly likely some cookie settings got messed up.
