Correct. Once a card expires, those points are wiped out. Only points from active cards count toward the ban threshold.

The cards themselves don't just vanish. They stay visible on their respective posts and in the user records indefinitely. It's just the points that stop counting once they expire.

This site started around 2002, though there were one or two predecessors. The first version of the Monitor boards launched back in the late 90s, if I recall correctly.

Two possibilities:

Most of your posts are buried in subforums where they don't even count toward the total. Typical.

You’re just like a few other posters here—a victim of this broken counter. For some of us, the tally has been completely trashed since that server maintenance a few months back.

All moderators are on equal footing and lack the authority to issue warnings to one another. If a moderator feels another needs to be cited, they must contact an admin or a senior manager to handle it. The admin or senior manager then evaluates whether the warning is warranted before proceeding with the action.

It’s not about the actual content. It’s just something that has absolutely nothing to do with almost anyone on this forum. Think of it like a janitor's closet in a local Target. The janitor isn't hiding anything scandalous in there, but that room still needs to stay closed to customers because it's none of their business.

The users don't care, but for the site owner, having it open is bad practice.

Because posting images is disabled on UNICEF. Images aren't allowed on all subreddits. Each one has its own Rule of engagement listed at the bottom, so just read what's permitted and what isn't.

If other people want to post smaller images, that's their business. Small images aren't against the rules; only the oversized ones are. That first image you posted was 480x640 px, which is perfectly acceptable for a post.
