No. The mods view this board pretty much the same way you do. There aren't any highlighted posts or special threads. The only things that catch their eye are posts that get flagged via the report button (that icon on every post). It’s not even highlighted on the site itself; they just get an email notification. If they have a notification app set up, they can spot a report within five minutes—assuming they're actually at their desk (at least that's my experience). Otherwise, they just notice rule violations by reading through the threads like any other regular user.
They moderate during their own free time. Basically, they deal with stuff whenever they can. It's entirely up to the individual. There isn't some mandatory quota for how much moderating they have to do.

He can't set the size to 1. Regular users have been blocked from using any BB code tags in signatures except for links. It’s been changed like this for two months now.

Come on, just post the link to the full-page screenshot (from the top all the way down to where it says "ad management by..."). Can you actually handle that?
Two potential reasons: 1) The posts were deleted (as Jacob Foster11 mentioned) 2) Your account is one of those lucky ones where the post count just glitched out
Are you absolutely certain there isn't some massive image buried in one of those posts on this site? Usually, a single oversized image is enough to stretch the entire page out wide.
If you spot an image like that, just report the post to a moderator. The maximum width allowed is 640px (except maybe in the Gallery section), so the forum should look fine at 1024x768 resolution or higher.

Editing is bad because there’s no audit trail. You're basically just stuck taking a moderator's word for what was changed.
I'm with hollowtrucker77 on this. A post is a single unit. It either gets a ban or it doesn't. It either gets deleted or it stays. Messing with them is wrong, period.
