It’s because BB code is disabled in signatures (except for links). Basically, just plain text allowed, maybe some links.

The moderator might have deleted it. Just shoot a DM to the mod in charge of that subforum and ask.

It's doable. They don't even have to be in the same subforum. As long as the thread isn't locked, you're fine.

Just hit Quote on the post you want to cite. Once the editor pops up, grab that text and copy it. Then, head over to the specific topic where you want to post the quote. Hit Post Reply. When the editor opens there, just paste what you copied. It's basic copy/paste.

You can technically do it with locked threads too, but it's a bigger headache.

Generally, regular users won't be posting them; it'll be limited to moderators (though there will be exceptions, like on Craigslist). They really ought to get rid of the need for those clunky brackets and extra markings in the titles. Instead, there should just be a prefix to indicate a chat topic, or one to show if a thread contains rules and such... Just a way to make certain topics stand out from the rest.

Those are just title prefixes, and they're still being tested on this forum.

Basically, you can't customize them yourself; you just pick one from the list if any are available.

You can't pick fonts or colors or anything else anymore. All you get is links. That goes for all new signatures. Old ones will stay exactly how they were until someone edits them.

I've honestly never even touched the ones you're referring to. But I have no idea why they aren't clickable for you; they should work fine. Are you running AdBlock or something similar? If so, there might be an ad overlapping that area that AdBlock is hiding. That’s the only thing that makes sense to me.

That link only pops up on threads where there are posts you haven't seen yet. It actually jumps you straight to the first unread post, not the very last one. If you've already read everything in the thread, there's obviously no point in having a link to an unread post when none exist.

There are several different user roles on this Reddit. They are distinguished by their username colors:

• Blue Just a regular user.
• Gray User is under Ban.
• Black Moderator.
• red supermoderator purple
• Administrator green Administrator
• Green Sponsor.

Moderators manage specific subreddits. Supermoderators hold those same powers but oversee the entire site. Administrators have absolute authority over everything here. These users are responsible for the editing and maintenance of the platform or individual sections. You can find their list right here:

Sponsors are just users who have worked out specific partnerships with the Reddit community. They typically get their own dedicated thread where they can promote their products or whatever for a set period of time.

Users under a Ban are those who have been penalized by the site administration. They are restricted from posting anywhere on the site except for the ban corner, and they cannot access their Direct messages. A Ban may be temporary or permanent. You can find the ban corner here:

Just hold on a bit. The admins aren't glued to the screen 24/7. They have lives too—maybe they took a trip with the family or something. Once they see the report, they'll act (assuming it's valid). It can take a few days from the report to the actual penalty.

Exactly. If someone disables their DMs, you're essentially blocked from sending them anything privately.
