For me, the highlight was definitely at the very end, when Walter played three different tracks (that local anthem, a massive hit, and a folk song) and then Luke followed up with his three (Macka, I'll Forget Everything, and the local anthem). That whole segment with the Termites was just tragicomic—little Coza and that girl from Eurovision were a total disaster. They really should have just asked Prlja to sing instead of having some kid rapper (or whatever he calls himself) standing on stage waving his hands around like he’s freaking Eminem.
Marina Perazic is just an unattractive, overweight woman who can't carry a tune to save her life; that's my honest take on her performance. The Rozanicka girl from Cacadouic was actually cheerful and fun to watch, but those Enas they kept shoving onto the stage in front of everyone really rubbed me the wrong way, which brings my overall rating down.
I’m guessing a lot of people on this forum were probably rooting for them, though they haven't really bothered to chime in on the actual comments. Personally, I found it pretty mid... I liked "Vertigo" and "Up the Bracket," but everything else kind of slipped my mind (which says a lot about the album)...

Well, over the last few issues, I think Urem (or maybe someone else from the old RI Wave crew) has been writing about the local rock scene. It’s actually pretty interesting stuff—if you can find a copy, you should definitely grab one...

They had to go back into the studio and re-record everything with the late Kurt Cobain, which unfortunately resulted in a much thinner sound. The "Daj mi ruku" album ended up being produced by Lukic.
Haha, looks like The Review is getting cited again... 😉
Roger Jones5 said:As for those bands that blend the vibes of Echo & the Bunnymen, The Smiths, and U2... honestly, they're the worst. I don't think I've ever seen such a concentrated dose of posing, melodrama, and pseudo-intellectualism anywhere else. Maybe except for Britpop...
A guy who hangs out with the Avila crowd tells me... 😁
Personally, I feel like those bands always have better singles than actual albums. Though, Mirror doesn't even have an album. It’s pretty interesting how the producer basically ruined both Nike and New York City. The first Nike era totally crushed Kurt Cobain, and for New York City, it was Passaro...
Ethan Perez97 said:Just listen to that riff in Smells Like Teen Spirit and you'll see it's basically the same vibe as Smells Like Teen Spirit. I'm pretty sure Kurt Cobain actually admitted it too.
Thank goodness they were lifting from Nirvana instead of Mark Knopfler...
Ethan Perez97 said:Look, I'm not even going to get into their musical ability because it's beside the point, even though we all know neither of them can actually play their instruments properly. But seriously, man, just back off and stop talking nonsense, because you're clearly the one who doesn't have a clue here. 👎
Buddy, you haven't actually listened to The Clash, have you?
Ethan Perez97 said:You're calling me thick and stupid, but you're the one acting like it. God, I didn't say The Clash or the Sex Pistols were bad bands; I just said they don't deserve to be in the top 100.
So, in your opinion, who exactly deserves to be in the top 100?

Who says folk music is bad?😁
I am absolutely loving that new Vucina track, "Kaiser Strassse, Kaiser Strassse..."
ensemble? Alive and kicking. I’ve been catching up regularly with two of the members lately... though I didn't quite catch everything regarding that one guy and his French tambura... he was rambling on about it yesterday, but I was busy watching the guys, so I wasn't paying super close attention.
