man, he's just dark... I mean, his interpretations and melodies are top-tier. The arrangements stay minimal, but they're clever and smart. Fevers and mirrors is definitely their peak—every single track is a winner. That’s not usually the case with the other albums, where I can only find maybe 40% of stuff worth listening to. dramatic and pathetic, romantic and smart👍
I’d honestly go if it wasn't for all this obnoxious propaganda—it's basically just some Russian Tom Waits tribute act🙂 acting like they're the official cover band for the man himself and all that nonsense🙂 .....it's like trying to go see a concert by Nutella😁
Man, remember that one drummer who started playing this heavy metal set and just ended up stripping down to her underwear while the bassist went completely naked too... I think it was some duo from Eastern Europe performing at a club like the Fillmore or something a few years back... seriously, that was some wild, once-in-a-lifetime stuff right there.🙂 They actually sound pretty similar to Sabotage, except their bass player keeps that heavy overdrive going the entire time. What was their name again?😕
Jack Chase60 said:Jeff Buckley... honestly, I have zero clue who that is.😁
Man, he was easily one of the most talented artists of the nineties—probably the best male vocalist to ever do it.😲 I actually met this guy once who used to go to bars just to sit and listen to him live, and he told me it felt like being under some kind of mass hypnosis. It’s hard to wrap your head around the fact that a musician like that actually existed... And let's be real—the guy probably wrote the most beautiful love song ever composed... "Lover, You Should've Come Over"...
Oh, come on, give me a break!! Beverly Hills is a straight-up masterpiece... the songwriting is totally alternative and just cool as hell... and the lyrics? Pure gold... a damn revolution😁 😁 😁
Lali Puna said:look, I’m just completely numb to that whole "school assignment" style—you know, the bad lyrics, the cheap sentimentality, and those "pretending-to-be-a-journalist" pieces especially when Dragas is the one signing off on them (who was he writing about again? That guy who said at the show he felt like someone had smacked him upside the head with a raw steak? 🙄 )
and someone revving a motorcycle right in his ear😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 that was actually a review for the best damn rock band on the freaking planet (well, before it was Accenture, anyway😛 ) Queens of the Stone Age😎
Online journalism—especially those clickbait portals—is basically nothing like actual journalism... it’s just a collection of flashy, sensation-seeking snippets written by people who wouldn't know a legitimate journalistic style if it hit them in the face.😁 What we have here is essentially a fan piece that’s unfortunately trying, and failing, to maintain some semblance of objectivity.😢 It’s totally unnecessary, really, because if you want comments that actually carry weight, you need a journalist with some actual backbone—someone who brings real experience to the table.
I caught the vibe of this piece immediately, and the bottom line is this: the American music scene is a complete mess, and all we're doing is begging for yet another indie label to save us.
The author and I actually root for the same team.😁
I honestly can’t help myself—I have to say that Franz Ferdinand are nothing but snobby, fake frauds🙂 😁 It’s wild how much the media can inflate a band that doesn't even deserve half the attention they get. Groups like Hot Hot Heat, Liars, Rapture, Walkmen, or Radiohead are miles ahead of them—but they don't get the spotlight because these arrogant little posers from Scotland are being blasted on every single fucking station constanty.😠 😁 I mostly just tear into them because they're total posers, exactly like Mono (from Japan).🙂
Brenda Williams13 says: I mean, if you were talking about Interpol or Snow Patrol, maybe you could make that argument, but Muse?!?!??! In my humble opinion, they aren't even in the same league—the only thing they might share is a similar vocal style (though Bellamy's is way better).
/B]
Oh, please, don't talk nonsense.🙂 Interpol and Snow Patrol have absolutely zero connection to Radiohead, whereas Matt Bellamy was clearly ripping off Thom Yorke for years. Honestly, you can't even compare a pop band like Muse to anything other than being an imitation of Radiohead.
That hated Kornel becoming some kind of street hero😁 is about as likely as anyone giving a damn about this thread or some "Nicholas Perez33" concert—especially now that everyone involved has gone rogue, getting sucked into this mess of foreign-backed and local hype machines😁 Jason Rogers! yeah, PES rocks😎 👍
The core issue with the alternative scene—unlike metal, punk, hip-hop, or hardcore—is that "alternative" covers such a massive spectrum of sounds that it’s nearly impossible to pull bands and fans under one umbrella through the media, local clubs, or indie labels in a market as tight as ours. I mean, your average punk kid is going to have a blast at pretty much any punk fest, but when you're dealing with the alternative crowd, things get way more complicated. Plus, there’s some truth to what Nicholas Perez33 was saying about everyone constantly stepping on each other's toes and those bad vibes circulating. It's like... these alternative types act like they've been chosen by destiny; half of them seem to think they're making "divine music" (for some reason, my grandpa's old records come to mind here) But despite all the headaches, I’m personally down to help fix this and rebuild the alternative scene on some actual healthy ground. How? Well, I play in three different bands, and I'm ready to put in the work to build stronger ties with other acts. Because that’s where it all starts. This concert by Nicholas Perez33 is just the beginning... let's get lost in it.🙄 😁 🙂
