It’s not really about signatures, but if they could just bring back the options to align text to the right or center, and maybe let us decrease (not increase!) the font size... that would be something. We didn't even have images or GIFs in our signatures anyway, and having access to every single color in the spectrum for text is honestly pretty useless. So, yeah... that's my two cents.

The reality is quite simple: you cannot simply toss a meme-ified photo into an avatar slot. One requires at least >200x200 pixels for such things to actually be legible or remotely coherent...
Let’s be honest, most users on this forum already have rather mediocre avatars; there is really no point in artificially inflating their dimensions after the fact. 🤷
A decent avatar looks just fine at 50x50, whereas for some unfortunate souls, even a 1000x1000 resolution won't save them from being eyesores. 😳
