Seriously, RIP Martin Sagner. I know most Americans aren't particularly worked up about it, but he immortalized these parts like nobody else ever will.
Paul Sanders5 said:We seriously need to start handing out much harsher sentences to all those bullies and abusers (and honestly, I think I might be one of the few people here actually calling for way tougher penalties across the board for pretty much any kind of crime 😁), but let's not lump them together with what went down in Hollywood. That whole situation was just straight-up shady business—trading sexual favors for roles. If you're not down with that, fine, whatever, onto the next one.
And frankly, I don't see the big deal. Morality aside, everyone has a price. In most regular American jobs, we swallow way more bullshit than some actress who played along and ended up with an Oscar on her mantle a few years later.
Signed.
Millions of people deal with or hide even bigger bullshit every single day simply because they have a price. They do it for the money.
Then you act like a big shot and a rebel for a week when you quit, only to go right back to doing it all over again.

They’re missing the point entirely. Faith has nothing to do with tangible, physical proof. That old man in the clouds, along with concepts like heaven and hell, is just the surface layer of a much deeper, far more complex principle. Listening to most atheists gives me a massive sense of secondhand embarrassment. It’s honestly cringey how much they miss the actual point of the topics they're discussing, especially when they speak with such unearned conviction and authority.
You're a good guy. Honestly, I disagree with you about 90% of the time, but your posts are always an interesting read. There have been moments where I've shared that exact same perspective myself.
I really don't have the energy to get dragged into these pedantic, endless arguments. To me, spirituality isn't some desperate physical craving; it’s just a natural, rational response to the wonders of the world—to its laws, its phenomena, and existence itself. It's the lens through which an individual observes everything around them, yet it's something we all tend to take for granted on a daily basis.
We don't actually understand any of it. That part is pure speculation.
But we feel this need to define it and label it, which is how religions and other movements start. People hate admitting there are things they can't grasp. It's just a defense mechanism.
Even though science explains many of these natural laws, we still have no idea what their true essence is.
Spirituality isn't food or water. You don't strictly need to consume it or develop it just to succeed or find happiness in life.
Daily discipline, clear goals, and useful information are the real recipe for success. There are other factors involved, obviously, but those are the ones that come to mind first. Of course, you still need time for fun and relaxation. To me, that’s all the spirituality I personally require.
The most advanced and successful nations aren't driven by spirituality. They are driven by the traits I mentioned above.
If you want to see spirituality exported or practiced on a massive scale, look at places like Africa or South America to see what that looks like. What actually needs to be "cultivated" is your mindset.
Spirituality can be a legitimate way to work on your mental state, but people often take it to an extreme—they go overboard, as they say in parts of Florida.
Climate change is a natural phenomenon that has existed as long as the planet itself.
I believe human influence is minimal right now, if it even exists at all.
No sane person wants to pollute nature or destroy the resources that sustain us, but I'm not worried about it. Humans evolve just like everything else. Technology will follow suit, giving us more while causing less pollution.
If mass pollution ever actually happens, people will start dying off. The strongest and most capable will survive, the Earth will reset itself, and everything will start over.

We are living within a one-dimensional space designed to simulate an eleven-dimensional reality. Because of how evolution works, we are only capable of perceiving three of those simulated dimensions.
Cats, naturally, can grasp all eleven dimensions; they know perfectly well we are stuck in a one-dimensional space. For practical reasons, they simply choose to operate within the eleven.
This is just as plausible as any religion.
We don't know shit. Not until scientists prove otherwise, or at least try to, or think they have.
Ultimately, they're the only ones actually touching reality. Everyone else is just searching for meaning or trying to feel special.

Even when someone actually pulls off an LP win, people love to claim it was just pure luck or some fluke.
Luis Enrique has bagged an LP title and a bunch of other trophies, but let’s be real: nobody considers him a great manager, and they never will. Everyone is just going to claim he was riding the coattails of Messi and Iniesta.
Everyone keeps making fun of Valverde—calling him the "ant" and all that—but honestly, this guy might actually pull off the Treble.
Pochettino is a total loser, yet he managed to drag Tottenham up the ladder despite working with a shoestring budget.
Klopp is a total loser, but he actually managed to drag Liverpool back to a level where they aren't just praying for an LP spot, but are legit fighting for the title.
Guardiola is basically a one-trick pony who won't stop forcing that Tiki-taka style, but you can't deny he actually leveled up Man City.
Simeone is just a limited loser who can't actually win anything, even if he did turn Atletico into a top club.
About a decade ago, managers actually meant something. You had guys like Pochettino or Simeone coming in and genuinely elevating their clubs to a whole new level. Now? It feels different.
I can't say anything else besides I agree.
It’s easy to joke about it, but most people on this forum seem dead serious when they belittle these top managers.
I'm a big fan of mystery and sci-fi, but I gave up on The Expanse pretty quickly. At first glance, the characters felt flat and the plot seemed totally random. Maybe I should give it another shot, but I'm just not feeling it. If a show doesn't grab me immediately, I never go back for seconds.
I’m not looking for drama, but since we’re talking about it, I might as well mention that I got a yellow card for posting "More than a VAR"—just one of those jokes that's been running on this board forever.
I assume all those "VARcelona" posts and similar puns are being policed just as strictly.
I don't get this sudden wave of strictness. These forums are dying out as it is, and now we're actually punishing people for joking around.

As for the songs, they’re all solid and well-produced. Even if some were written by Grdović, who is a true American, I'd much rather hear his stuff than some generic pop trash.
Honestly, I'm happy with how things went in the East stands. If people don't like it, they can go sit in the West section and blast pop music instead.
Spot on.
The logic is flawed. Every club wants to bring in new fans, but you guys are just pushing them away.

I was just down at the beach trying to catch some Wi-Fi so I could check out the scores for Swansea and Cardiff, but damn those gusts and waves kept getting in the way...
