I actually know this one girl—she is absolutely stunning, a total knockout! But she never wears shorts because she’s always worried about hair growth, and I honestly never even considered that she might be dealing with that same "condition"... It’s easy for those of us on the outside to say "don't worry about it," but at the end of the day, only she knows what it feels like to live in her own skin... I deal with my own struggles too, though mine aren't really about hair—it's more about skin issues, scarring, pigmentation, things like that... it makes me feel sort of out of place and different, which just adds another layer to everything, even though I don't consider myself unattractive... I suppose I just have to accept that I'll never be "normal" in the way everyone else seems to be... but hey, you aren't alone in this... 👍
I honestly wonder where you hide all that resentment—it’s like you're tucking it away into these little mental drawers, and I can't help but think: what happens when they all finally overflow? 😳 As for me, I don't really get angry—not at all—I stay perfectly calm for a month, maybe a year, even two... but I suppose when I finally do hit my breaking point, the resulting explosion is so massive it practically creates a whole new universe. 😁
wiredeagle25 said:I suppose this solution works. But... there are plenty of people like that out there. I guess you can't exactly run away and hide from everyone all the time. 🤷
I mean, I guess you just have to learn how to deal with them; personally, I don't really know how to handle that sort of thing, so I usually just tend to distance myself...
I actually know someone just like that—honestly, you should probably just let it go. It sounds like an incredibly insecure individual who decided to use you as a punching bag for all their own deep-seated frustrations... You really don't need that kind of energy in your life. I guess it's best to just let them continue existing in their own tiny, narrow little world while you focus on surrounding yourself with much more grounded, healthy people...
Oh, I completely agree—it’s honestly the worst when you actually open up to someone about something bothering you, only to have them immediately hit you with some line like, "Why are you even worried? You're young and beautiful..." and just like that, I totally lose interest in what they're saying... Actually, I think I've finally realized—though, I suppose I learn something new every single day 😁—that whenever I hit one of those depressive slumps or just a general crisis, it really will pass. Knowing that helps me not exhaust myself quite as much as I used to... and by the way, getting some exercise is probably the best remedy there is!
I wouldn't go so far as to say anyone has truly wasted their life—I mean, we all have our highs and our lows, don't we? You can't exactly walk a perfectly straight line through life every single day, and honestly, sitting around just wallowing in self-pity or acting like a total vegetable isn't really living either... and, I guess, if there is one thing I consider a complete waste of time, it’s dwelling on the past. Constantly replaying everything over and over again—whether those memories are good or bad—just feels like chasing illusions that end up pulling you even deeper into a hole...
As far as my physical appearance goes, I suppose if I could just wish away a few scars and some minor skin imperfections, that would be enough—just that, really... Writing this out now, I’ve actually come to realize that the issue isn't quite as much about the surface level (at least, that's what I used to think), but more about what's going on internally—oh, how enlightened I am feeling right now 😍
Well, it’s finally happened—Amtrak has officially become a household name 😁 which, if you think about it, was probably exactly what they were aiming for all along 🤣
I suppose I’ve always harbored this desire to be truly intuitive—to live without all that unnecessary mental clutter, staying calm and centered... just feeling genuinely confident in myself and everything I set out to do... the real deal, I guess... And if I’m being honest, I’d love to shift my entire perception—to approach life, myself, and the world through a completely different lens... essentially, I want to reach a state of true maturity while somehow managing to hold onto that sense of wonder and playfulness we have as children🙂 that's pretty much it
Though, I guess that isn't quite the whole story😁 deep down, I really hope that humanity might actually find some kind of meaningful purpose in my existence eventually😍

As someone once put it, you're rejecting anyone who isn't an absolute carbon copy of the rest of the population. Good grief, if you want a war of clones, why not just have everyone wear the same clothes, get the same haircuts, and follow a manual on "proper" behavior? Give me a break... 🙏
Yeah, well, I'm one of those people who smells a bit off... my eyes wander when I talk and I'm terrible at small talk. I'm not "normal," alright?
At least I don't obsess over the Hollywood red carpet. I'm still doing okay on that front. 🤣
It feels like it’s been totally automated—it’s trying way too hard, and honestly, it's just kind of creepy... I don't know, I guess I just have this intuition—I can actually feel when I'm becoming a bit much for someone—and my immediate reaction is to just step back and give them space. It’s easier that way, I suppose. On the other hand, you see people who just keep pushing and forcing things past any reasonable limit, and honestly, I can't tell if they're doing it on purpose or if there's some deeper social issue going on... maybe they just lack self-awareness? Either way, I'd much rather be seen as quiet or even a little antisocial than deal with being perceived as pushy or difficult. I wouldn't say I'm one of those people who gets an ego boost when someone tries to assert dominance over me—it’s not really my thing—but I guess it just feels a bit intrusive sometimes? It can be a little uncomfortable, if that makes sense... maybe just a bit awkward for me personally.
I know exactly what you mean—I’ve been through this myself, actually. There are just certain people like that, where even though they’re using perfectly normal words, you can just feel it... you can sense that something isn't quite right with them, and their way of speaking feels forced rather than natural or spontaneous. So, I am completely on your side here. Honestly, I'm not sure how one even goes about getting rid of someone like that, but I don't think running away from them or trying to belittle them is the answer, either.
I don't think you’ve actually made that massive leap forward you keep talking about—not when you're still getting bogged down by such trivial nonsense... and honestly, why does it even matter if one person thinks you're being foolish? I'd bet my bottom dollar there are at least ten others feeling the exact same way... whether it was about you, me, or anyone else in the world, it wouldn't change much.
I wasn't entirely sure which subforum would be the best spot for this—and I really didn't want to clutter things up by starting an entirely new thread—but I’ve been giving some serious thought to organ donation after I pass. I was wondering, does anyone know how one actually goes about getting that official donor card? I suppose I should probably reach out to someone to register, or maybe there's a specific way to sign up online?
@Sam Hayes/">@@Sam Hayes - I guess I occasionally find myself making jokes about my scars too, haha 😍 but yeah, since they’re still pretty fresh, I can handle it—and I imagine I will be able to down the road, too 😁 It also really bugs me when people start prying into what actually happened. I mean, it wasn't like I was in some massive multi-car pileup on the I-95, but even so, I don't exactly enjoy reliving it. I tried using that Contractubex stuff everyone talks about, but honestly, it didn't do much for me—if anything, I suspect it might have actually made things worse by spreading the area out. So now, I've switched to rosehip oil, and so far, it seems to be working okay.
@teebee So, yeah, it's mostly a mental game, though I have to admit it weighs on me quite heavily. And honestly? I can't imagine having a few more of them; I think I’d lose my mind. So, seriously, kudos to you for your strength—I really hope that you and your scars find a way to coexist more peacefully every single day 😍 As for me, I think I'll need to have a serious heart-to-heart with my only child. I'll have to explain that it isn't that I don't love them, it's just that I need some space, hehe—I definitely wouldn't want them feeling like they're somehow less important 🤣
I completely agree—if someone else doesn't want to look, that's their business. But honestly, the scar itself is what bothers me. I just can't stand looking at it. During the winter, I can sort of ignore it, I guess, but in the summer, it feels like it's constantly in my line of sight, which just leaves me feeling frustrated. I know it sounds silly, and I realize it is, so I'm just hoping that one day I'll be able to accept it without getting so worn down by such trivial things (there are certainly bigger problems in the world out there)... But does anyone else experience this tightness? Is it normal for things to still feel so tight even a month after surgery? Every time I try to stretch my arm just a little bit, I feel that pulling sensation, and I get this sudden wave of anxiety—this fear that the area might widen or stretch out, leaving me with nothing but trouble with that arm. I haven't even lifted anything heavier than a pound; I'm watching it like a hawk, being incredibly careful with it...😂 I've had to give up push-ups entirely for now 😢. Does anyone happen to know how long this healing process actually takes, or when it's safe to head back to the gym? I read somewhere that full healing could take anywhere from six months to a whole year... Anyway, I've scheduled an appointment with a dermatologist—I'd really love to get a professional opinion—but I won't be seeing them for another ten days or so 😢 . By the way, Kimberly Green23, has your scar faded at all, or is it still red or purple? Have you tried using any specific creams, gels, or oils?
@Amanda Allen92/">@@Amanda Allen92 — you’re probably right about the weight gain thing; I guess most of it just settles around my midsection first 😁 And, if I'm being honest, it feels like the skin on my upper arm is thicker there—which maybe makes it more prone to that messy healing process—whereas this other one, where the skin is thinner, is barely even noticeable, so I don't really count it as a scar. So, technically, I only have this one actual scar, and I am just crossing my fingers that it doesn't spread any further 😁 But seriously, tell me—how did you learn to be so okay with your scars? It seems like they don't really bother you much, while I'm sitting here getting all worked up over this one single thing... gosh, shame on me
