It’s hardly a horror masterpiece, but I suppose it’s watchable enough... I mean, it’s definitely an improvement over The Fog—though I’ll never quite get over how much time I wasted watching that one 🙄.
It’s honestly kind of funny how religious zealots look at me and see some sort of hardcore atheist😁 Well, what can I even say? Sometimes just flashing a smile and nodding along with an "aha, if you say so" works wonders... I mean, when you're dealing with someone who has such narrow vision, how are you supposed to show them the bigger picture anyway?...
edit: I’m actually quite lucky that my parents aren't religious fanatics—they let me carve out my own path without any interference whatsoever... but having had the chance to encounter those types of extremists before, I've learned that trying to argue with them is just a complete waste of energy...
You know that old saying, "help yourself, and then I can help you"? It’s actually true. If you don't have the desire to help yourself, honestly, nobody else can step in—it just doesn't work that way. You really have to learn how to rely on yourself; people tend to drift in and out of our lives, but at the end of the day, we're the ones who are always stuck "with ourselves"... ugh, I guess it took me a long time to truly wrap my head around that, and I suspect it'll take quite a bit more time before I truly feel "independent."
I honestly can't wrap my head around people who constantly lie or make things up about themselves... I mean, I don't even know if I should take someone's dishonesty personally... Like, okay, you're telling me things about yourself that just aren't true, hiding who you actually are... Is it because you lack self-confidence? I guess I struggle with my own insecurities too, but I certainly don't resort to lying or fabricating stories to cover them up. 🤷 What is even the point of lying?? I have to admit, as much as I try to be an understanding person regarding other people's little deceits, the mere thought of someone being fundamentally dishonest really turns my stomach... It’s just unpleasant dealing with people who lack any sense of integrity, shame, or basic sincerity—especially toward those they claim to call "friends"... But then again, who am I to judge? Your lies aren't my burden to carry; they're your own problem, and truth has a funny way of always surfacing eventually...
And now, to respond to the original poster—my dear, it is practically impossible to make a pathological liar "see the light" because they get so tangled up in their own web of deceit that they lose track of what is real and what is fiction... In my opinion, the best course of action is to simply walk away, because people like that have a knack for ruining more lives than you'd think... So, if you care even a little bit about your own well-being, just distance yourself from her!
I’ve come to realize that I don't actually understand what the word 'forgiveness' really means. In the past, I probably would have just called it making up with someone...
A polished stone is still just a stone, I suppose—but I wouldn't go so far as to compare a person's soul or their core personality to a rock... or even a wolf... personally, I believe that true change, or at least some kind of deep transformation, is actually possible. Things might not be perfectly aligned right now, but through sheer willpower and hard work, one can certainly evolve...
It’s possible... I suppose whenever I’ve felt that intense, overwhelming drive—that real sense of purpose—I’ve always managed to reach whatever goal I set my mind to...
Honestly, sometimes we can be so incredibly blind that we fail to see what’s right under our own noses... I suppose I’ve certainly changed quite a bit 🙂 Well, I mean, I know I'm not exactly the same person every single day—that's just my nature, being somewhat flighty and unpredictable—but I was actually thinking more along the lines of a total, fundamental shift in my entire personality, haha
For a long time, I really used to believe in things like angels and demons... but as I get older, I find myself believing in those things less and less—instead, I’ve started placing much more importance on my own intuition and gut feelings.
Not at all—actually, I’m at the beach every single day right now, just soaking it all in 🙂 and honestly, I've been feeling so much better lately; I think I might finally be reaching a point where I truly believe real change is possible 🙂
It’s funny how things change as you get older—I honestly can’t tell if I should take that as a compliment or a bit of a critique 🤣 I mean, I know I’m still relatively young, but there’s no running away from who you are... not that I haven't tried, but I think I finally realize I don't want to run anymore... And it’s largely because of my ego—I’m becoming very aware of how much it holds me back in so many areas of my life... which is exactly why I’m looking for a change, I suppose. I really don't want to hit 50 and find myself wondering how I even managed to live my life when I was younger... I don't regret anything I've done or haven't done in the past, truly, but sometimes I just get this wave of anxiety thinking about how much better life might actually be if I were just... more relaxed. It’s not like I’m aiming for some impossible, cinematic life where I’m constantly chasing mountains and valleys or trying to check off a billion once-in-a-lifetime experiences—that's not really me. I just want to learn how to unwind and actually enjoy the moment, to give my absolute best toward my goals without being so weighed down by my own ego...

I guess, for someone like you, perception shifts so much that once you grow tired of one way of seeing things, the other side just takes over (the skull), almost like two sides of the same coin. I imagine when you're changing how you perceive things, you ought to be mindful of what the flip side of whatever you find desirable actually looks like.

You just have to embrace the grind and accept the journey as part of your everyday life. If you spend all your energy frantically scrambling in every direction trying to force a result, you're just going to end up completely burnt out and broken down in a few years. It's not worth the stress!

The biggest mistake people make is thinking they can't just jump in right now. She can do whatever she wants today—set the pace, find her rhythm, and own the floor. Honestly, the only real question is how naturally she’ll pick it up. There's zero reason to wait until tomorrow, next year, or some distant decade, and she definitely doesn't need a fancy Ivy League degree to prove she's got what it takes!
As long as you've got your basic physiological needs covered, you've pretty much got everything you need right now!
The whole thing comes down to the here and now, that's the crux of it...
