If you actually put in the work to change your own mindset, it’ll totally transform the vibe between you two. Even if he’s just sitting there being passive. Yeah, he's gotten soft—it happens to all of us eventually, whether we're single or coupled up. Life is only a struggle if you decide to make it one. A woman who actually believes in herself and feels good in her own skin radiates that energy to everyone around her. Sort out your own insecurities regardless of what he's doing. You can always upgrade yourself, but trying to "fix" someone else? Not so much.

Sometimes I get the feeling—maybe it's just me—that because of those issues with English, the value of her other grades is being dragged down too.. I'm not demanding perfection in PE, Art, or Tech Ed.. But I really want to know why she's pulling Cs or Bs in those classes. I could live with it if she actually earned them, but it feels wrong if she's already struggling with literacy and then gets dinged in other subjects because of it...? I truly believe this kind of thing just kills a kid's confidence and motivation, making them feel like they can't succeed at anything..

I actually had the exact opposite experience... I got into a relationship, then married, then pregnant... Throughout all that, I really tried to stay close with my best friend, who was also my maid of honor... But she just started dodging me more and more, pulling away completely... That’s exactly when the shift happened—just total radio silence without any explanation...
The same thing happened to my husband with his best friend... His wife wouldn't let him go anywhere—no grabbing drinks or coffee with the guys... Eventually, she started hating everyone he hung out with and did her best to isolate him from the whole group, and since he's a bit of a pushover, he just let it happen...
People just straight-up surrender that little slice of privacy and personal freedom they should be holding onto, no matter if they're dating or married... Being tethered to one person like an umbilical cord is definitely not healthy...

My mother-in-law brought it up again today😛—that whole thing about how there’s going to be a huge gap between the kids... We were at church, too. Honestly, if we weren't, I would've told her I couldn't care less about any "differences" involving me and my husband. And then she has the nerve to joke, "Well, you'll catch up by the third one." Next time, I'm just gonna shut her down and suggest she finds a new husband herself. What's not to love? 🙂:
My hometown is tiny. Most kids here come in packs of twenty. If I ever noticed anything off, I’d just pull an Azzura and tell people their parents already made up their minds... Plus, she does karate. There were three kids in her class who didn't want to go, though I think those two changed their minds and joined in. Mine's the only one left who isn't going.. I honestly think most people will assume she's Muslim just based on her name..
Yeah, if they're in after-school care... Mine isn't in the program... But I doubt the next semester or even next year will have them stuck in that last period; it could just as easily be first or third... The school is still gonna be buzzing for an hour regardless... They’ve got the study hall set up in the hallway with chairs, armchairs, and books... It's basically meant for the kids skipping class... I think a teacher on duty walks through and checks on them...
They scheduled Sreca for the very last hour here, so she’s heading home now.. She's also the only one skipping religious studies.. Same goes for the first graders..

Honestly, yeah—people as a whole have just become more alienated. No matter how much we judge it, we’re kind of part of the problem too... Like you said, what's the point of being with someone if you have nothing in common? People aren't nearly as reliant on one another as they used to be, back when everyone actually stepped up to help each other out.
If you actually want to make it happen, you'll find the time. If you don't? You'll have a million excuses... The older you get, the harder it is to open up and build something new with someone.
I don't have anything against religion classes in school. Honestly, I'm just glad it's an elective. My kid isn't taking it, and since hardly anyone does, they scheduled it for the very last period. That way, the kids can just head straight home...
