Charles Ramos7 said:I was wondering—if you actually manage to get a juice or something similar produced, how do you even get onto supermarket shelves? It feels like there are way more brands out there than there is actual shelf space.🤔

Supermarkets aren't the only game in town. I mean, look, we can always export to the USA. And honestly, who knows? That product might end up being seen as this incredibly healthy, high-quality, and affordable optiondamn fine

You brought up hotels in that other thread, so why not here?
So you're saying it'd be smarter for me to just drop the cash on some high-tech machinery to handle the apple processing and then just buy up the harvest from local growers?

Anyway, thanks for the links, I'm about to dive headfirst into digging through all this stuff🙂
Thanks for the heads-up on those concessions, but now I'm realizing just how little I actually know about the whole situation.

I'm currently in the learning phase, and honestly, I’m just leaning on the idea that some things are smarter than I am—hopefully this thread can help bridge that gap.🙂
Starting a new thread here just because I’ve got some things on my mind and was feeling curious,
is there any way to actually lease farmland from the government for a set number of years to plant crops—say, apple orchards—specifically for the purpose of
making natural juice, sparkling cider, or maybe an apple syrup?

If anyone knows the deal, how much acreage would I realistically need for a serious operation like that, and where in the States is the soil best for this kind of thing? Honestly, if anyone has more info, please drop it, because I'm basically starting from zero here.

The idea hit me yesterday while I was walking through a shopping mall and saw one of those little kiosks selling organic juices, and I figured, why not ask?

I guess it's totally normal for you to think he’d drop $3,000 on an apartment? If things ever got that desperate, I’d be heading straight to a payday loan shop in a small town in Ohio—interest-free, obviously—just hoping my luck turns around enough to maybe flip some property down the road...
Harold Martin10 said:Thomas Anderson6, I'm actually on the same page as you here—I'm just asking the question: who gets the axe? And really, who can pull that off when even a tiny percentage cut triggers a massive political meltdown?

The real struggle isn't what happens ten years down the road if we cut taxes; the problem is what happens in the next month or two. If you try to cut spending from the broader population, they'll be the first ones screaming at you to stop cutting.

Cuts are necessary anyway, because once the IMF shows up, they're going to force them through regardless. Might as well stop spending more than we're actually bringing in now.
hollowmoose21 said:Oh, so we just need to juice consumption again? Great. And where’s the cash for that coming from? More credit cards?
Oops, we already spent the last 15 years doing exactly that. 😁

Sure, but who the hell are we supposed to put in charge after that? You actually see anyone out there who knows what they're doing?

Of course you have to kickstart spending, because let's be real, how does everyone sitting on their hands actually help production? And the money will materialize through tax cuts, so there's no need to go running for a loan. 😁
Nancy Gomez26 said:Can someone explain the actual mechanics behind account freezes? Is it even possible for an account to be locked if you’ve been perfectly current with your vendors and the IRS? Look, if a creditor has a claim against you, it is standard practice to attempt collection. If the funds aren't there, the account gets frozen. If the freeze fails to yield payment, then we move toward garnishment. If an institution abuses its power to freeze accounts, that needs a deep, rigorous investigation followed by real penalties. That is how a functioning state operates. Turning a blind eye to corporations that dodge their financial—or any other—obligations does nothing to build a better future. In these matters, speed is everything. A government must be measured, swift, strict, and above all, just. There should be no debt forgiveness, no bankruptcy settlements, and none of those legal gimmicks used to bail out former owners who drove a company into the ground. It is particularly egregious when laws allow that same ownership structure to remain intact after a "restructuring" or debt wipeout. Private corporate debt should never be socialized; owners must be held materially accountable for the failures of their businesses.

Forgive me, but everything you're saying would actually make sense in a place that doesn't have such a bloated, inefficient federal bureaucracy, but since we're all living proof that's not our reality, your whole logic just falls apart, and it doesn't work because there's a fundamental glitch in the system. Basically, if the government itself is a mess—which it is—then it's impossible for small businesses or regular citizens to stay on top of everything. Get what I'm saying?
Frank Nelson2 said:Consumption is something without which there is no economic growth, alongside exports. You could ramp up production by 300%, but if you have nobody to sell to, increasing output is useless. Plus, it's a common trap where you only get paid after the sale is made, creating a vicious cycle of decline.

Without consumption, there is no growth, yet very few people have said that clearly and loudly. Unfortunately, there are far too many incompetent voices stubbornly insisting that we need to slash spending.
If consumption were stimulated, the economy would pick up speed very quickly, which would automatically boost production and create new jobs, sustaining that consumption loop.
By freezing bank accounts and cutting off liquidity, we are heading in the opposite direction, and you only have to look around to see the proof.

Exactly. You can't have production without consumption, which means you aren't seeing any growth either. Anyway, that’s my two cents on the whole thread. 👍
You don't seem to have much of a grip on this either. It’s like you actually trust this administration's incompetence rather than seeing the intent behind it. Honestly, there's no fixing this, and I'm definitely not holding out hope for a better tomorrow when our politicians have this much traitorous potential.

I'm trying to post a photo of this spider I snapped on my phone in the right thread.

How do I do that?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Just a heads up, I'm doing everything exclusively from my phone.

This is easily my favorite part.

Honestly, hats off to them—at least someone here actually understands the job description. And from what I can gather, they seem to have a much better handle on it than the people actually doing the work. 🤣

The only real tragedy here is that you don't seem to know what *your* job is. Though, I suppose if you weren't constantly lecturing everyone else on how to do theirs, you might figure it out, right? 👍

We all encounter these self-appointed "experts" everywhere you go, but they're always just as entertaining in their sheer lack of insight...

It’s not just that you can't wrap your head around even the most basic posts, but you also insist on trolling me just to prove my point—that you're really just "showing up to show up."

Look, I’m gonna stop right here. I really don't have the energy to go back and forth with you on this, unless you decide to ask some old lady at a roadside stand to translate what I just said—because honestly, until then, I'm not even sure we're speaking the same language. So yeah, let's just leave it at that.

God bless.

Megan Williams3 said:Look, that isn't really my concern, but how on earth can you claim to know exactly what their job description entails? And based on that, how can you conclude they aren't performing it adequately?

I suppose if you were actually the one assigning them tasks, and then noticed over time that they weren't being completed, your argument might carry some weight. But we aren't in that position, are we?

The way I see it, someone assumes they have all the facts, and then builds an entire theory upon a premise that—more often than not—turns out to be incorrect. That's usually how these kinds of posts come to be.

1. I've been hanging around this forum long enough to know exactly what they're supposed to be doing.

2. Based on what's right in front of us.

3. I didn't hand out the assignment myself; that was done by Adam Collins4, and I noticed the task still hadn't been handled after nearly 20 days, so my point definitely holds water.

4. What I'm seeing here is just your massive struggle with actually reading what's written.

See, I wasn't even sharing an opinion; I was stating the fact that this particular moderator—who was busy trolling and making things personal while bickering with a user—isn't being punished or sanctioned at all. As a user who's been slapped down much harder for way more trivial stuff, I'm left wondering why someone else gets a free pass to communicate like that when I certainly don't.

Daniel Ward87 said:Even if we weren't working, we don't owe anyone an explanation except for Anderson.

The admins are super active on the forum; just because you don't see it doesn't mean it isn't happening.

Regarding the bold part—exactly. Realize this isn't a democracy and deal with it. Whether you call it rude, unfair, or immoral is up for debate, but by signing up, you agreed to certain terms.

You don't have insight into how the admins operate, so you can't really speak on the activity levels of any individual admin anywhere on the forum. Admins answer to the owner of the forum regarding their work or lack thereof. You can complain to him, but his decision is ultimately his own.

True enough, but I’ve still got every right to call it like I see it, and what I see is that you guys aren't doing enough, because, if you'll let me finish, the whole MCA situation is still wide open, and honestly, I don't care if Anderson couldn't give a damn about this forum.
