Looking for brothers and sisters in Jesus in Spirituality ·
Alexander Kern58 said:Hey there!

Everyone’s headed for eternity—live in Jesus, or die in this fake world.

I’m not here to play theologian or act like some preacher; if it’s His will, He’ll find someone else to do the witnessing.

I’m just looking for people who are truly free in Jesus. Maybe they don't even realize it yet, as long as they aren't fighting Him or stuck in some cult of personality or rigid dogma.

If God is their spirit and their truth...

And I mean actual truth, not just some intellectual theory or emotional hype (which is just a lie).

There was this one guy here before, I think his handle was Krishnamurti.
His signature said a time is coming when we'll see who follows the Spirit and who just follows the money.

So, anyone who isn't out here paying for books, expensive seminars, or data plans just to "elevate" themselves is potentially
welcome. (Seriously, if you think breathing exercises and yoga poses are "spirituality," please just skip this one):

Let's stick together and win in Jesus against this world of losers (that's what I call the miserable souls of this world—if I'm wrong, feel free to set me straight).

There are plenty of people like that, but I worry they aren't actually ''in Jesus,'' so does that mean nothing? If someone isn't ''in Jesus,'' are they just human trash or something? I’m genuinely confused, so I’m asking. 🤷

Anyway, what’s the actual plan once you (if ever) actually meet? How exactly are you going to defeat this world of cripples?
feralranger said:...well, we find ourselves circling back to this issue simply because some people lack basic discernment. It’s quite similar to when you attempt to provide someone with fundamental mathematical instructions; the problem lies in the fact that certain individuals fail to grasp the glaringly obvious distinction between erotic love and philia within the Homo sapiens sapiens species.

In the sphere of philia, most people aren't prone to jealousy or possessiveness—> for the most part, they don't insist on a monopoly over their partner.

In the erotic sphere, however, most people are inherently jealous and exclusive—> they generally demand a strictly 'monogamous' arrangement.

It isn't truly a matter of "complex mathematics," yet somehow, it remains an impossibly complicated concept for some.

It’s pretty obvious that you’re the one struggling to grasp reality if you can't wrap your head around what people are telling you. An intelligent person would state their case, explain themselves if they felt something was unclear, and then leave it at that—letting everyone else move on with their lives.

Clinging to an argument like this doesn't make you look smart; it just makes you look like a fool.
fadedcobra7 said:Even my girlfriend was like, "Let's ring in New Year's together." We make all these plans, get everything lined up, and then she just flakes on me to hit up some party with someone else? Honestly, I’d lose my mind.

It’s the exact same thing if a partner says, "I'm going to open up my inner world to you and we'll have this deep, exclusive connection," only to go out to some random bar, come home, and act like nothing ever happened. They didn't share anything.

This isn't about being jealous. It's about broken promises, betrayal, and straight-up lying.

Yeah. 👍

Let’s be clear: this isn't about jealousy. This is about a total betrayal of everything we stand for as Americans.
You screw up with the wrong person, and suddenly the lights flash on, forcing you to face the cold, hard truth about the absolute disaster of a personality you’ve been sleeping next to.
Let me get this down in writing while it's fresh: try adding some chili to your diet. It contains capsaicin, an alkaloid that actually helps manage GERD and Laryngopharyngeal reflux. It’s great for general stomach issues overall.
The one caveat? If you're dealing with a stomach ulcer, steer clear. For everyone else, go for it.
My doctor confirmed that this is a well-established thing and that it really does work. Personally, it’s been a total game-changer for me.

Once Russia launched its aggression, the damage was already done.
We all remember back in 2014 when they were discussing cooperation models,
only for Nuland to block the European Union initiative and basically say "fuck the European Union."
That’s been the playbook for the last eight years.
The Ukrainians were fed false hope that they had our backing,
encouraging them to poke the Russian bear because of the whole "fuck the European Union," "fuck Russia" mentality.
Instead of being pragmatic,
leveraging their position to maintain neutrality,
their "Western partners" egging them on to play hero against a nuclear superpower.
Reading about a "right to NATO" is laughable.
You have as many rights as you have power. Even 30 million Kurds have a "right to a state,"
but they don't have the power to actually grab one.

Exactly.
Ukraine is riddled with corruption and run by foreign players; if they had ever prioritized their own interests, we wouldn't be in this mess.
They’ve had a disaster brewing on their eastern border for eight years. For eight years, instead of fixing it, these idiots danced around with Western players, only to act shocked when they get screwed over. It's obvious: nobody is going to go to war against Russia. That would mean World War III. Where was the common sense in counting on "Western partner" aid?
Countless people died on that eastern border, but everyone pretended it wasn't happening.
They spent eight years antagonizing Putin because they thought he was toothless. Well, turns out he isn't. He had more than enough time to gear up.
Look, politics is the art of the possible. They should have settled that local issue, forgotten about NATO, and moved forward.
But no. So here we are. It's much easier to just blame Putin for everything. It’s classic Murphy’s Law: finding a convenient scapegoat is always easier than actually solving the problem. 😁

edit: I feel for the people. They aren't to blame here. They were just sold out by their own incompetent government.

Evincar333 said:So, did we just wave goodbye to our own versions of Putin (like Maddox or Babić) across our borders?
This isn't a war fought on American soil. If the Ukrainians want a sovereign state, they have to fight for it with their own blood, just like we had to do.
Every single American stands behind the Ukrainian people because they are living through exactly what we endured—fighting entirely alone without anyone lifting a finger to help!
And you, lady, feel free to keep tapping away at your keyboard like a complete idiot.

Listen, kid, those are two completely different things. We didn't spend years locked in border conflicts with the Mexicans simply because we refused to follow certain agreements or play along with specific terms.
Do you even grasp why Ukraine won't be joining the EU or NATO?

I highly doubt he's some local hero charging tanks with nothing.
He spends more time on Twitter than your average armchair general,
but information warfare is still a critical part of combat,
so credit where it's due regarding keeping Ukrainian morale up!
He handles that perfectly.

Just a blowhard with his head stuck in the clouds. How did he even land that job? Clearly, it was through protest movements, much like how a radical group like the Occupy movement would have taken over if Americans were just a little more unruly. He is completely unfit for the role; he’s nothing but a planted globalist figurehead, a useful idiot.
He could have actually sat down with Putin and hammered out the terms of the Minsk II agreement to prevent any of this from happening. But no, everyone acts like they're clueless and shocked, acting like Putin just lost his mind and decided to handle things his own way.

It might actually work, or it might be a total bust—but honestly, why wouldn't we give it a shot if the promises are that big?

Since when did this new subforum become the direct antithesis of the previous one? CoronavirusLook, let’s be clear about one thing: those penalties shouldn't even be in effect on it. It’s common sense. (Partial writing ban) What kind of nonsense was being spewed back in the day on Reddit? Coronavirus. By that same flawed logic—the same kind you'd see if someone tried to argue that a partial credit on a midterm at Harvard was the same thing as passing the entire course—you're missing the point entirely. Natural sciences. That shouldn't have any bearing on whether someone is allowed to write on this platform. Alternatives..

According to what the boss said, those penalties shouldn't even be active right now. But here we are—they are. If you only have partial access, you can't even log in to view that PDF. It’s a complete mess.
Either his brain wasn't up to operating temperature when he typed that we can post there, or he’s gone completely senile and doesn't realize what he's saying. Otherwise, he's just intentionally playing dumb to push some liberal agenda.

P.S.

And you’re spouting nonsense, too. It’s blindingly obvious that once we’re logged in, there is no other way to view the Skeptical perspective except through an unauthenticated lens. You know that the entire Coronavirus PDF becomes invisible to us the moment we log in, don't you? Or are you genuinely clueless? It honestly seems like even the CEO hasn't a clue—who exactly do you people think you're making fools of? Your main contribution is offering this idiotic advice about accessing it while logged out, but what else is there? What exactly do you think is possible?

placidhound5 said:We’ve moved away from the 80:20 rule; right now we’re aiming for 50:50, given the current state of the country. That would be fair, wouldn't it? As it stands, it’s 80:20 in favor of the anti-vaxxers.

My recommendation? Agree to write less, otherwise, we’ll be forced to clean you guys out ourselves. The issue is that nobody else can even get a word in edgewise because of you. You just repeat the same thing over and over anyway. Post a selfie or a picture of a cat—that’s what the internet is actually for. We are removing those who truly obstruct the flow and aggressively push the anti-vax mantra. Give the pro-vaxxers room to chant their mantras too. We have to allow everyone space. And refresh your propaganda. People tune out. No repetitions. Once is fine; the second time is just an advertisement.

The 80:20 split might (?) be unique to the conspiracy theory section, though even that is highly questionable; on any other topic, anti-Corona vaccine advocates never stood a chance because accounts get suspended, bans are issued, or posts simply vanish.
Personally, I barely write anything—just the occasional post here and there—so, excuse me, but what you're claiming about us suffocating the space is a total contradiction of reality.
Nobody is stopping the pro-vaxxers from chanting their slogans, but it seems they lack actual arguments, so in the end, they’re the ones just trolling. It’s obvious they shut up once you hit them with an argument they can't answer. That is a far cry from us preventing them from having a space to write. How could we even manage that?

Besides, when it comes to Corona vaccine discussions, is it okay to say the same thing a million times? Does that not bother you? In reality, the situation on this forum is closer to 70:30 in favor of the pro-vaxxers. It has always been that way, except in the conspiracy theory section, and now even this anti-vax corner is bothering you, despite it being perfectly clear who is going to congregate here.
It’s obvious it hurts your feelings that the anti-Corona vaccine crowd is gaining ground, not just on this forum but in the real world, so you find it best to throw out partial truths—because if you don't hear them or see them, then they supposedly don't exist.
It is clear that most people aren't going to want a third or any subsequent shot, and accordingly, it is perfectly understandable why darkjackal7 gets called out when pointing that out.

When you don't like the news, the best move is to kill the messenger, right? If the messenger is gone, the news disappears with them. 😁

A total purge of the undesirables. And yeah, I’m right in the middle of them; apparently, we need to maintain that strict 20:80 ratio in favor of the Coronavirus zealots, just because the higher-ups ordered it. Truth is a bitter pill to swallow. It’s much easier to just gag anyone who dares to point at it—then everything looks perfect and tidy, and it makes it seem like only the freaks are thinking differently. 🙂

Look, that attitude is going to hit a wall the second someone comes along who actually makes you lose your cool. You can sit there and wait for that inevitable moment when she realizes your worth, thanks you for being there, and then walks out the door—or you can be smart and cut ties now. Find a guy who actually gives a damn about you, and who you actually give a damn about. It’s simple math.
Three months ago, I was diagnosed with GERD, but it turns out I actually have LPR.
Prilosec didn't do much for me, but I found way more relief with Famotidine (an H2 blocker). Gaviscon helps too.
However, Eglonyl has been a massive help. It’s technically an antipsychotic, but at low doses, it’s used for gastrointestinal issues (2x50 mg). It calms down the gastric system, which in turn stops the acid reflux. Originally, it was actually used specifically for this purpose before they discovered it acted as an antipsychotic at higher doses. You can take it for longer periods. You might need to see a psychiatrist for a prescription—I'm not sure if a primary care physician can write it.
On top of that, I'm taking oregano oil capsules, Mastic chewing tablets (which are fantastic), fennel and lemon balm tea (with honey), and marshmallow root (because it helps clear mucus from the throat). I also take royal jelly.
Previously, due to oral thrush in my throat, I tried Zolazepam gel (minimal results), then switched to Diflucan tablets—that finally cleared it up.
All in all, I lost 6 kg at the start, but with this current regimen, things have improved significantly over the last two weeks.
Anyway, just thought I'd share in case this helps anyone. 🙂

hollowwalker24 is just a spammer at this point. Dropping 50 links followed by four massive posts in a row without actually engaging with them—well, it kills any decent discussion. Since I’ve been moderating the Covid threads since day one, I’ve seen this exact pattern cycle through every 10–15 days. It's nothing new.

P.S. The supermods and Nica can always see the deleted content, so they aren't lost—and they certainly don't need to be re-added.

You didn't just delete only stupid posts, bickering, and spam. You also nuked differing opinions by essentially labeling anything unlike your own view as "stupid."
That's a completely different ballgame; you're comparing apples to oranges here.
But hey, if that's how you want to play it, fine. At least have the guts to be honest about it: "I'm deleting this because I have the power to do so and I simply don't like what you think."
The problem is, if you actually admitted that, you'd have to face the fact that people would think poorly of you. 😁 And frankly, they'd be right to do so.
Managing Bipolar Disorder in the Workplace in Psychology & Therapy ·
Gary Morris2 said:Hey everyone! 👋

I figured I’d share my "story" here because I honestly want to hear what you guys think. I already know what my family, my boyfriend, my friends, and even my frenemies have to say about all this, but I’m looking for some more objective perspectives from people out there.

So, I’m 30 and I’m from Washington, D.C. For the last two years, I’ve been with my boyfriend, who’s just a year older than me. I actually spent a huge chunk of my life living abroad. I spent way too long studying law before eventually dropping out when I got sick.

Back in 2014, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder. I’ve been in treatment for it since March 2014. I’ve ended up hospitalized ten times—sometimes for self-harm, sometimes just to get my meds adjusted—and I’ve done things like shoplifting, shaving my head, DIY piercing, and I even had to undergo eight rounds of ECT. Right now, I’m on a medication regimen that actually seems to be working. Like, for the first time in forever, I actually feel like a "normal" person.

Personality-wise, I’m pretty open and upbeat. I love reading and have a million different interests. I tend to lean toward hypomania—you know, that excess energy, being a bit theatrical, cleaning things that are already clean, or doing stuff with OCD tendencies—so when I crash back down to baseline, I register it as depression, even though I don't really lean toward the depressive side. My mom and brother do, though.

For the past year or so, my main struggle has revolved around work. Earlier this year, I worked at this call center, but I only lasted three months before I just totally snapped. It was one of those situations where they expected more, faster, harder... you know how it goes. I tried as hard as I could, mainly because I’m someone who is obsessively focused on what other people think of me. I know I shouldn't be, but I am. 🤷

I spent about nine years studying law without ever getting anywhere. Eventually, I walked away from it and pivoted to an Open University.

After that, I grabbed a summer job at a drugstore. I worked there through the summer doing everything from the register to stocking shelves and warehouse work. During the last month, I started making these little mistakes with the till. Most of the time I was in a hypomanic state—super talkative and high energy—and I’d mess up the cash counts, which meant I ended up paying the difference out of my own pocket at the end of my shifts.

Anyway, my meds were changed, and I was basically walking around the register like a total zombie, so I was essentially forced to quit because I just couldn't function. My coworkers started avoiding me, and customers would give me these worried looks like, "Is she gonna pass out on the floor or 🤔?"

Less than two weeks later, I landed my current job. Same old story, though—another call center. Customer support. The environment is actually great, the crew is awesome, and the first paycheck was more than enough, especially since everyone else there is going through similar stuff. But today, for the second time, I didn't show up for work because the second I stepped out the door, my heart started racing so hard I thought it would jump out of my chest.

I spend my day taking call after call, I don't get a single word of peace during my 30-minute break, and I mostly survive on junk food from the vending machines. About 99% of my job is just repeating, "I apologize on behalf of [someone halfway across the world who screwed something up]," while the people on the phone are swearing, yelling, screaming, or threatening me. And then I just sit there like a parrot saying, "I apologize..." and they just snap back with, "Like hell you ________." You get the idea. One call like that? Fine. But after eight hours of it, I feel like my ears are literally going to bleed. 😲

The thing is, I'm someone who genuinely loves to work. The idea of just sitting at home, popping pills and watching soap operas doesn't appeal to me at all. Being able to work and having that sense of financial independence is huge for my mental health. Plus, things are great with my boyfriend; we're planning on moving in together next year.

So yeah, this year I finished my retraining and cycled through three different jobs.

Every time I've had a major breakup or shift in my life, it starts with these morning or evening crying spells. I started taking sedatives that used to be just for emergencies, but now they're a regular part of my routine, along with panic attacks and all that.

I mean, I really do want to work. And look, I get it—working in a call center where you can't even see the person on the other end means you shouldn't take things personally, but spending eight hours a day basically apologizing for stuff that isn't even my fault, only to sit there and listen to people spewing absolute filth... man, I can barely stomach it. It’s just not for me.

Everyone around me keeps telling me I need to toughen up. And I know, I get it, I really do. I'm trying. But apparently, my subconscious isn't having any of it, because my heart is practically jumping out of my chest every single time.

What do you guys think about all this? 🍿

If nothing else, thanks for listening, guys! 🙂

Look, not every job is meant for everyone. You’ve given this one two solid shots, and it’s obvious it’s not clicking. Don't go forcing a square peg into a round hole. Stop fighting against the grain and find something that actually fits.
It’s not the end of the world; you'll find your footing somewhere else.

Nancy Johnson9 said:Thanks everyone for the replies and sharing what you think. I didn't post this on Facebook because the whole situation is kind of specific... given the circumstances. I gotta admit, I’m a little surprised by some of the responses, but honestly, that’s why I started this thread—to see what other people think and what they’ve been through. I constantly have this feeling that maybe I’m overreacting or asking for too much... and I’m really sitting here thinking about it. I guess everyone starts with themselves. You do what you’d want someone else to do for you. He probably thinks he doesn't need to do anything, just leave her alone. But meanwhile, I’m sitting here hurting and just craving a hug. We’ve always been close, always making each other laugh, but now it feels like I’m just a burden to him or like he’s trying to avoid me. At least, that’s how it looks from where I’m standing. Life is exhausting, I know—the grind, the kids, the jobs, the mortgage payments... it wears you down. But we used to talk about all of this, how it’s just a phase and how things will get better. Like, once we catch our breath, get some sleep, once the kids are more independent... then we'll be okay. Someone wise said it earlier—it’s all about acceptance.

Exactly. Everything passes, and honestly, that's the best mindset to maintain.
And let's be real, the lesson of acceptance—accepting life as it unfolds, exactly as it is—is one of the most vital tools you can possess.
Once you master that, life becomes incomparably smoother and less chaotic.
On a side note, it isn't wise to treat people like crutches. Not even for a moment, unless it is an absolute emergency.
It is neither productive nor smart to play the role of a permanent crutch for someone else. (looking at you, Sonja Keef)

We have to learn how to tackle our own struggles head-on. If we don't, we risk a pattern where we offer support without actually solving the underlying issue for them.
To put it bluntly: if we find ourselves in trouble, we shouldn't turn ourselves into martyrs.
Similarly, if someone we love is struggling, we shouldn't throw ourselves into a position of excessive self-sacrifice for their sake.

In situations like these, my go-to move is usually just to come clean—I’ll admit I’m feeling nervous, flustered, or just plain thrown off balance.
It turns out that once you do, people actually show some empathy; they soften up, become much more approachable, and give you the breathing room you need to pull yourself together.
And honestly? Just by being that vulnerable, it feels like at least half the tension simply evaporates into thin air.

Emily Rivera45 said:I’m reading everything you all write and soaking it all in, so thank you for trying to help!

Regarding psychiatrists, I tried seeking help back in the States and just had terrible experiences... lots of guilt. During psychotherapy, when I mentioned suicidal thoughts and how much I struggle to value life, the woman asked me what I expected from her sessions, which felt incredibly rude. She even implied that others come to her to actually get better, whereas I was just bothering her with my "nonsense." Not exactly those words, but that was the point. I felt like total garbage, like someone who didn't deserve any help at all.
Of course I want help, it's just that how the body acts is one thing, and how the mind wants it to act is another...
I think one of my subconscious fears is that nobody will actually know how to help me, and everyone will eventually just give up on me.

With another psychologist, it was just as awful. I didn't open up about suicide at first, but once I did, it was a disaster. She told me a person is either suicidal or they aren't, and told me to just decide, essentially pushing the idea that if I am, she'd just have me committed for observation. I wasn't in that state that day, but afterward, there was just more guilt-tripping—being told I was bothering people for no reason, that I couldn't act like this, that I had to be either constantly suicidal or perfectly fine, otherwise it would just be seen as drama.
Ever since then, I haven't told anyone anything about my suicidal thoughts or my reflections on them.
The only place is here on this forum, which is why I wrote on the front page that I can't handle hateful comments accusing me of just seeking attention... because those bring back those bad memories with doctors, and that feeling that I don't even have the right to ask for help regarding this.

Now I'm living in a different part of the country and I see a counselor a few times a month, but because of other issues, I don't dare mention the dark stuff. I'm afraid that if things escalate, I won't be able to talk to her the same way and she might become more aggressive toward me. So, I guess something is better than nothing, since she helps with some things.

Anyway, I've rambled quite a bit...

The truth is, you’re actually having a blast being alone with your self, yet your biggest fear is losing your audience. Oh, right... the massive ego inherent in every artist.
Honestly, maybe everyone *should* give up on you; otherwise, you’ll never learn to clean up your own mess.
It isn't some dramatic curtain call where you’re left standing alone on a Broadway stage, playing out some theatrical fantasy. It’s about cleaning up your own shit.
Damn, it really makes a person want to throw in the towel when they realize their suffering isn't being recognized as some profound, original artistic expression.
I'm not surprised you're depressed.
Being alone is perfect. That’s when it becomes a binary: you either exist, or you don't. If you can't impress your own self, you aren't impressing anyone.
That seems to be the core of it.
Is that what you're actually terrified of?

Fears have this incredible tendency to manifest. And honestly, being terrified isn't a bad thing. It can be a healing experience, truly. Because that's when, and only then, all the masks finally fall away.
