I'm just sitting here waiting to see exactly how they'll screw everything up just to hand Massa the championship. Isn't that the whole point? Watching how far they'll go... I find it pretty entertaining, actually. 😍

It's basically a reality show😁

And what exactly was he using to "soothe" you? 🤣🤣

it feels like Max Mosley was just playing games with you all along😂😂 😂

you know how they say, what God gives, He can take away...

whatever he missed out on, he made up for today, so he's back where he started...

honestly, it would have been fairer if he walked away with nothing just to keep things even at 1:1...🙏
just kidding, don't go thinking I'm actually being serious here.

Yeah, I know you love to joke around, just like when you claim Felipe Massa is the greatest driver out there.😉 🤣🤣

rustystag7 said:Alright, fine, let's look at it this way: who actually has more wins than Felipe Massa?
If we're talking about the actual points gap, factoring in that unlucky loss of 10 points, he was basically sitting 5 or 6 points ahead of everyone else during his best stretch...

Look, I’m not interested in playing "what if" games; I’m talking about the season as it actually unfolded on the track...

All those drivers you guys keep pointing to as being better than him? That’s just noise to me.

I have nothing against Robert Kubica, Kimi Räikkönen, or Vettel—they’re great, don't get me wrong—but right now, looking at where they finish races, Massa is easily one of the top tier drivers out there, maybe even the best when you consider he's right in the thick of that title fight...

Those are the facts, but if you want to insist Kimi is better, that's your business, though I won't be buying it...🙏

And hey, if you’re going to place bets, try betting on the whole damn game instead of just picking the parts that make you look right.

And don't forget to count the victories handed to him on a silver platter; he just picked up another one today.☕

placidsurfer9 said:Look, they just have to make the championship more entertaining to squeeze out a bit more revenue, and the easiest way to do that is by manufacturing drama; when those 70-year-old fossils can't wrap their heads around the chaos on the track, they just start handing out penalties out of sheer frustration... under today's rules, they probably would've stripped Ayrton Senna of his title back when he hit Prost or when he collided with Hill... it's unbelievable how soft these old guys have become.

They aren't actually soft, though; they know exactly what they're doing, and since the Ferrari drivers can't seem to win on their own and Kimi is performing worse than he ever has, they need a little help keeping things interesting—honestly, I'm more surprised they didn't disqualify Lewis Hamilton and slap McM with a massive fine of tens of thousands of dollars.

Bradley Nelson2 said:Props to Felipe Massa on that win; if the engine actually holds together this time, we might actually see some victories. 😁

Look, NASCAR probably felt like they had to make up for that mess with Felipe Massa dropping out, and now that we're winding down the season, they’re really starting to ramp things up—just another classic example of how they handle things "professionally." 👎😬

So much for his "fair fight," I guess.
☕

Nah, it’s more about how the garbage officials always seem to find some excuse to penalize him whenever he's in the mix; the FIA🙂 refs🙂 are just total trash.👎 👎

While Lewis was pulling off that move to let him through, Kimi really should have just backed off a tiny bit to let the master pass into the pit lane properly.

Instead, Lewis played a high-stakes game, took the risk, and actually pulled it off.

I mean, even at a McDonald's they've got an accelerator and a brake,😬 and given how fast Hamilton's reflexes are, if he’d caught even a hint that the guy was slowing down...😉

lonebison19 said:Actually, yeah, what ended up happening with Heikki? Did something just give out on him?

I'm not entirely sure, though I doubt there was a major mechanical failure, he just looked rough out there today.😢

placidsurfer9 said:Give me a break... there wasn't a hint of dirty driving there. He was clearly faster before they hit the chicane, and once they were side-by-side through it, he just let off the gas while Kimi was flat out, and as soon as Kimi pulled ahead, he had the opening to strike again. I mean, what do you people want—should he have just sat there and let five other cars pass him just to satisfy some fan fantasy? Stop posting this nonsense.

Exactly, in that moment of clean racing, he did exactly what he was supposed to do, and if he gets penalized just because he didn't, as you put it, "let five cars pass," then the sport is truly pathetic...

Hey lonebison19, what's your take on the race? I just can't get my head around why things went south for him...

It's true, they put on a hell of a show.☕

John Bennett4 said:Lewis Hamilton fought exactly how you'd expect any great champion to fight—uncompromising, but keeping it fair enough

Kimi went wide right at the first overtake and squeezed Lewis Hamilton out of the way

Once Lewis Hamilton finally let him through, Kimi started weaving all over the track, cutting him off just to signal that the show was still on, then he completely blew it

Then, acting like some total amateur, he spun out and slammed into the wall, even though he’d actually gotten lucky during that pass on the guy trailing behind

But I guess that's what happens when you sit behind the wheel after a few too many shots of cheap bourbon

And of course, those incompetent officials are opening an investigation into none other than Lewis Hamilton 👎

It feels like one of those long, rainy afternoons in Seattle where you just stare out the window wondering why everything keeps falling apart, especially when you look at how things have shifted since that whole mess back during the 2008 Montreal Grand Prix. I remember sitting in a diner, nursing a lukewarm coffee, thinking that maybe things would eventually settle down, but looking at the current state of affairs, it’s pretty clear we were just being optimistic for no reason.I honestly feel like we should be looking to hold Charlie Whiting accountable for this mess, especially since he was the one ultimately responsible for managing all that light signaling. ☕

I don't know where they were getting their signals from, but it looked like they were just pulling random numbers out of thin air straight from the Ferrari pit wall.😕😉
