I mean, if someone is sitting there practically salivating at the chance to track your every move just to nitpick or tear you down, they’re honestly a bit unwell, I guess. My advice? Just try to tune them out entirely, or better yet, hit that block button and move on. If things actually escalate—like if they start harrassing you through private messages—then you just report them to the mods and call it a day. ☕
What does this "vulgar" word mean? in Miscellaneous ·
So, I’ve overheard guys tossing around the term "spicckane" when they're talking about certain girls. I can't quite put my finger on what that actually implies. What's the deal with that? 🤔

Maybe try the mall, specifically near that department store across from the office complex? I think they sell all sorts of random balloons there.
🙂

Or maybe some folks actually kind of enjoy the suffering, so they have no real intention of ever finding happiness, I guess.
Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
Hey there.
I was catching up with a close friend yesterday, and I felt like I needed to bring this here because I’ve been spinning my wheels thinking about it.
We ended up talking about menstrual health, and she confessed that it actually took her about eight years for her cycle to finally stabilize. 😲
In the beginning, she was barely getting two or three periods a year. She went to see her doctor, and they prescribed some kind of medication that managed to kickstart a few cycles, but as soon as she stopped taking them, everything just shut down again—I think they were hormonal supplements rather than birth control, but I can't remember the specific name.
Now, her cycle still isn't exactly what you'd call regular; it tends to run about two weeks late most of the time. 😕
I guess I'm wondering if there are any long-term consequences for her health? Like, could this affect her ability to have kids later on, or anything else like that?
She’s really dear to me, so hearing all that just left me feeling pretty heavy-hearted. 😢

I’d love to, really, but I just don't have the bandwidth for that kind of thing, especially since I'm only around during the summer months anyway 🙂
never mind, looks like I'll just have to copy this all over to Word 🤣
PM limits/restrictions in Forum Help! ·
I mean, I’m looking at my account and I’ll hit that limit in maybe three days, and honestly, I need some of these posts to stay saved, but it feels incredibly tedious to manually copy every single message into a Word doc just to keep a record of them 🤣
Also, does anyone actually know why they won't let us change that limit?
Sorry if I'm being repetitive by bringing this up again.

Hey there.
I went looking to see if anyone else had brought this up, but I couldn't find an existing thread, so I'm sorry if I'm accidentally repeating something that's already here..
The message cap on this forum is set at 75..
I was just wondering if there's ever been any real discussion about whether that limit could possibly be bumped up?
And, if it isn't something that can actually happen, I guess I'd be curious to know what the reasoning behind it is?
Thanks!😉
Is love really blind? in Psychology ·
Beyond just the sheer desperation, I’d say there’s this deep-seated fear of being alone that drives it all 🤷
It’s almost like a mania; you see so many guys out there who are basically just "yes men," people who are hardwired to fall head over heels and then just blindly follow every single command they're given..
Why does that happen? I guess I don't really know. I'm just relieved I'm not one of those types—the kind who lets themselves be led around by the nose or stays blissfully blind to what's right in front of them.
And honestly, it's pretty funny how the people who *aren't* like that are usually the ones overthinking the whole thing, while the "idiots" actually living it just assume that's perfectly normal :S
Borat, Brüno, or Ali G: Who's the best? in Movies ·
Michelle Flores40 said:(it’s honestly way too long—I think it goes on for maybe fifteen minutes—where Borat just wanders through an endless aisle of grocery store refrigerators, trying to drive the clerk insane by asking if something is butter over and over again. I guess if they cut it shorter, the whole thing wouldn't work; the tension really comes from just waiting for that poor guy to finally snap).

I actually saw that on YouTube! It’s such a brilliant scene 🤣🤣🤣 I watched the entire clip from start to finish http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKwcT5GExJA here's the link
It's honestly because of stuff like this that Borat is my absolute favorite 👍
How to lose 55 lbs in a month? in Health ·

I’m planning to get out there and run every single day, too...
Do you really think the weight is just going to snap right back if I drop it too fast?

I guess people who lose weight don't quite grasp that everything comes crawling back if you just slide right back into your old habits. If someone actually decides to slim down, it really means they have to overhaul their whole diet, their exercise routine, their entire way of life. And once you finally hit that target weight you've been chasing, you pretty much have to stick to that "regimen" indefinitely. It isn't enough to just starve yourself and hit the gym until you reach a certain number on the scale, because, well, obviously, the weight is just going to come right back.

I’ve found that even making these tiny, almost insignificant tweaks to your daily routine can actually start to shift things.
Like, maybe try taking the stairs instead of waiting for the elevator, or just walk an extra couple of blocks to the subway station. I also find that drinking a glass of water right before lunch helps fill you up a bit, so you probably won't overeat by much.
It might be better to stick to just one slice of bread rather than two during lunch or dinner.
And if you're craving dessert, I guess grabbing a yogurt is probably a smarter move than reaching for a chocolate bar or some heavy pastry.
Even something as simple as choosing to stand on the bus or train instead of hunting for a seat makes a difference.
I suppose all those little adjustments eventually add up to something noticeable over the long haul.👍

Hannah Newman2 said:I feel like the accents Ali G and Bruno Mars use are actually pretty similar... which is a huge contrast to how unique Borat sounds..

Yeah, I totally agree with that! Especially during that scene at Bruno Mars' house toward the end, where he’s playing that straight guy Dave and trying so hard to hide his gay slang, but he just ends up sounding exactly like Ali G.

1. Borat 👍 was honestly just on another level, and I don't think we'll ever see anything quite like it again!!
2. Bruno Mars
3. Ali G

I caught Bruno Mars' movie yesterday, and I guess you could say it's a bit of a mess 😂 it doesn't really hold a candle to Borat, though there are some decent moments here and there. It's pretty predictable, sure, but since they used those same tropes so effectively in Borat, this one follows a similar pattern, even if it feels slightly different in execution.
