I know things are perfectly fine over at Reddit 😍 especially in the chat where we’re all doing just fine, I guess, right down to the very last person 😁 🤣

I was wondering, does the DPS actually get paid out while you're still chipping away at your mortgage?

That sounds like a plan. You should probably just reach out to the admin mentioned in the first post to get things moving.

Another half-baked attempt at an insult 🙂

So, what’s the deal with having one account and then running a clone on the side? I guess you’re trying to act all "rational" on one profile while spewing nonsense on the other, just so you don't blow your cover under your main username 😁 so people don't get suspicious about who they're actually dealing with 🤣

I honestly can't tell what kind of insult 🤣 is even 🤣 trying to pull 🤣 here... 🤣

He’s probably just planning to post some nonsense, I suppose, so that maybe nobody accidentally recognizes themselves in his threads. 🤷 🤣

OT: that option just isn't there.

I guess I’m also wondering what exactly all of this is supposed to mean.

Since we’ve already dealt with 503, 504, and who knows how many other numbers by now, I find myself staring at your thread title 😁
and thinking about it.
Blonde or dirty blonde? in Miscellaneous ·
I stumbled upon this bit of trivia online:
apparently, according to some French linguist named Andre Martine, ancient civilizations were obsessed with light and radiance rather than what we call "color" today, so they basically judged the world based on how much it glowed.

It turns out blue used to be a symbol of light itself, instead of being white like it is now, I guess.

If you want to make sense of why blue is such an enigma, you probably have to go back to the very beginning—to those early stages of human perception when people viewed chromatic traits as just different gradations between dark and light, or black and white, or night and day.

The idea of blue being the color of the sky, or the ocean, or even a ripe plum, didn't really stick until much later, once American languages had already started building out their own specific vocabularies for colors.

In certain older linguistic traditions, the term for blue was tied to a few different things:

- the color of the daytime sky, as opposed to the night,
- the lightest human hair type, and
- (historically speaking) the color of ripened crops.

Nowadays, we don't see many things described that way anymore.
The sky is obviously blue, of course.

...but, for some reason, that sense of brightness remains baked into the word when it's used to describe someone's hair color.
And honestly, it creates this weird linguistic headache if you try to overanalyze it.

Usually, language acts like a self-correcting system—a sort of code designed to help people communicate without causing massive confusion or ambiguity.

But in the case of these old descriptors for blue, it seems like they're making a total exception to that rule.
🤷

I mean, take English, for example; we say someone is "blonde" instead of "yellow," though that’s mostly because the term was borrowed from French, where blonde means fair-haired.😁

I guess it really comes down to how you look at it, but basically, what’s the actual difference when someone picks up a yellow card versus a red one? Like, does it even matter in terms of points?

Well, you don't really have that many posts anyway, so I guess you could just open a new profile and call it a day if the renaming thing doesn't work out 😁

I don't want to start yet another thread here, but I have a quick question 🙂
I noticed that some people on the forum get a yellow card while others get a red one... what exactly is the difference between them?

Chris Morales23 said:And I suppose you'll have plenty of time to master that California accent of yours 😁😁 *mwah mwah* 😍

Well, yeah! 🤣

I feel the exact same way if someone tries to mock an American dialect without showing some respect; they're either just plain dim or they were never taught any manners.
I suppose I’ve picked up a few things during these three years of college 🤣
but honestly, my biggest struggle lately has been dealing with people from California; they have this way of speaking where I can barely make out what they're saying, which is way more confusing than talking to someone from the Midwest, so I usually just end up asking them to repeat themselves or tell me what they mean in standard American 😁
like when they say things like "sneakers," "muddied," "lineup," or "tomatoes" 😁
p.s. RIP to all the veterans 😍 🤣
What does this "vulgar" word mean? in Miscellaneous ·
I mean, all of that might be true, but I suspect it really just came down to aesthetics. It’s not like they were falling apart or losing anything significant, so maybe it was more about how things looked on the surface than anything else.

I don't really want to clutter things up by starting a whole new thread, so I'll just drop a quick question here... when you click on someone's profile, there's this section next to their other info labeled "recommendations." I guess I'm just wondering what that actually represents?
