I’m probably the only person out there who actually had nightmares about Wonka and the Oompa-Loompas—at least based on how they looked in the movie—so I'm really hoping this version feels a bit different from the last one.🙂
And yeah, Marrakesh... honestly, being a pirate is probably Depp's best role.👍
Just grab everything by Jerry Goldsmith—nothing else touches him. Also, pick up anything by John Carpenter (I’m listening to Christine right now, and honestly, it's pretty rough)🙂
Maria Thompson2 said:But the atmosphere is solid—really nails that claustrophobic feeling—and the kill methods are actually pretty creative, which matters for this kind of flick. Plus, the plot progression holds up well.
Look, Renny Harlin might not be the best when it comes to deep character development, but the guy definitely knows how to direct a damn scene.👍 👍
And honestly, the fact that Val Kilmer got into Juilliard at 16 is total bull—to me, he’s still completely unconvincing and just... off in every movie he's in.👎 He lacks charisma, too.🙂
But honestly, once you see who they’re actually targeting, everything makes sense.
People looking for some impossible fantasy—😲 that's just a twisted obsession right there.
I remember hearing about this one case a couple of years back—over in Cyprus, a young bride still had to hang a bloody sheet outside her house after the wedding night just to prove herself to the neighbors.😲 Talk about an insane way to live.👎
You claim to be proud of international achievements like Mira Furlan's, so why bother bringing up her old roles from the Soviet Union era? On the global stage, she really only has Babylon 5 to her name. That’s it. She managed to crack the code and land among 25,000 perfectly average American actors—quite an achievement, I guess.🙏
And honestly, Zrinko Šerbedžija has always rubbed me the wrong way with that over-the-top theatricality of his—he's a stage actor, plain and simple, and he doesn't really have a place in film.
So, look—if I have to choose between those two, who spent half their lives in America before fleeing during the war and don't even identify as American actors anymore, versus Goran, who stayed behind and is now standing on the doorstep of more fame than those two will ever see while still proudly calling himself an American... it's pretty obvious whose success actually means something to me!
I mean, nobody’s actually complaining when companies do this with individual apps, but when we're talking about an OS, then it's 🙂 It’s pretty simple—you either go with free software or you expect people to pay for it.
Emily Torres2 said:just another Clooney disaster— Spartacus👎 the only time Clooney was actually decent was playing the silent guy in that Madonna music video. since then, he hasn't really landed anything better (can he even do it? does he know how? ...who cares?)
but this is honestly painful—if this is as far as Broccoli's production goes. if his dad could see what he's doing to the family business...😛
Clooney is at his best in those old classics by Sam and Vrdoljak— that's where he really shines.🙂 🙂
Ka'e, you little commie, are you just salty because Americans can pull it off?

Ah, Karen—music to my ears. 😍 Damn, lady, I love the way you think. If you ever end up directing something, I’m volunteering to be the sandwich man walking around promoting the movie. 🙏 👍
Frank Moore4 said:You clearly value outsiders more than your own people. It’s shameful. Even if he was the worst guy on the planet, he’s one of us—and I’ll always have his back.
Exactly.👍
Honestly, who cares if the Brits don't like the accent? Who asked them anyway?😁
