😂 Swiftly, hide your children!

I can't stand country music—especially that trashy outlaw stuff: 2up: Seriously, Al Capone was running wild just a few years ago and now kids are listening to this nonsense. It's gross.

My tolerance for garbage music is actually pretty high—I can listen to almost anything—but I draw the line at country. It’s just a matter of principle, and honestly, it's a bit revolting.

Imagine her just singing "Baby, I'm on fire" however she feels like... 😍

Oh, absolutely.👍 Stephen Frears is a genius.🙏

Just look at how incredible Sophea Okonedo is playing this role—she was actually nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress this year. The woman is a powerhouse.🙂

Oh yeah, totally forgot about Liam Neeson—what a legend.👍

I really loved this one—honestly, it’s probably the only movie where Tom Hanks actually hits the mark for me. As for the Coens, watching their stuff feels like playing the lottery—you win some, you lose some. While O Brother, Where Art Thou? was a total bust for me, Barton Fink? That was incredible.👍 so yeah...

It’s like "CHARGE" was some kind of magic spell...

😂 🤣 this one hits hard 😂

Oh, man...👍 Every single time, I lose it during that one scene in Me, Myself & I:

Zelwegger: So, i smoked some pot! What is that, a crime?
Jenkins: Aha

It doesn't even sound funny on paper—but that scene is just masterfully done.🙏

He really is an incredible actor.👍

Since we’ve already been talking about the best Hollywood actors, let’s pivot to the powerhouse character actors.

I mean those performers who aren't necessarily A-list stars—the ones you don't see in the headlines, but you catch them in almost every movie and think, "Man, they are good."

After catching a fresh screening of Barton Fink and The Man Who Wasn't There, my pick has to be Jon Polito.🙏

It's a total classic—honestly, I almost expect him to get kicked off the force just so he can go roam the streets and cause chaos without any oversight. 🙂

Also, I honestly didn't see this coming. I mean, have they seriously never heard of the command line? Every single damn backdoor is just some high-end animation now... wtf. 😕

I really respect the guy—he’s got the guts to stick to his guns and do things his way. He isn't afraid to take on Hollywood, even if it means reaching into his own pocket to fund a project himself.👍

Richard Hernandez13 said:Winterbottom stays relevant because he constantly shifts his style and themes with every single movie he makes.

That doesn't really matter when his films are just plain garbage.🙂 I can't think of anyone who would actually argue he deserves a spot in the World's Best 40 Directors by The New York Times. The guy is mediocre at best.

Ugh, come on! I’d take ten von Trier movies over one McTiernan any day. Was Thirteen Days really that bad? Seriously, I truly believe McTiernan will make a comeback—this feels like nothing more than a temporary slump. If you just strike Basic and Rollerball from his filmography, you’re left with an incredible career where almost every movie hits the mark. He’s easily the most underrated director of our era.

Look, I'm not saying Schumacher didn't make some garbage, but when he actually nails it, he nails it. 8mm is top-tier, and so is Day of Madness.

But honestly, how can you argue against McTiernan when Michael Winterbott and the Wachowski are both on this list?😲 😲 😲

paranoid said:Where are Sam Raimi and Peter Jackson? And no Schumacher either—honestly, regardless of what anyone thinks, the guy’s been making decent movies lately.

Schumacher rocks 🙏 🙏 🙏

And where the hell is John McTiernan??? 😲

What kind of idiot puts Michael Winterbottom on a list but leaves out McTiernan??? Sure, Basic and Rollerball aren't great, but the man knows his craft. But hey, I guess it's more important for the snobs to push those "larger than life" epics, right? 🙄 🙄 I'd much rather watch a solid action movie than some nonsense from Lars von Trier. Someone already brought up Ridley Scott and Spielberg. What about Verhoeven? It's like a curse in Hollywood—you can make an absolute banger of a film, but if it's just an action flick and not some existential drama, you'll never be considered an "artist."

Screw the intellectual snobs: 2up:

As for the number one spot, I'm somewhere in the middle—I wouldn't call myself a huge Lynch fan, but Mulholland Drive is an absolute masterpiece, so I'm somewhat on board there.

And apparently, Winterbottom is better than Fincher now? 🙄 🙄

I feel like Tricky has been hitting a bit harder lately—not quite the same vibe as when he produced Bury The Evidence.🙏 🙏
Stupid dreams in Miscellaneous ·
For about three months, I was stuck in this absolutely ridiculous dream—we had a wood-burning stove in the house, and suddenly cats would start jumping out of the fire. They were wearing bandanas on their heads, Rambo-style, and just opening up with machine guns and spraying me everywhere. Yeah... they were living inside the stove, right in the middle of the flames.😕
The Eye (2002) in Movies ·
It’s not exactly a deep, complex forum, but the vibe is great—plus there are a few genuinely killer scenes, like the one with the old man in the elevator and that "Why are you sitting in my chair?" moment. 😱

That final scene? Absolute perfection. 👍 👍

Every ten seconds or so, a sheep's head pops out from behind the fence and whispers "m-m-mommy..." right into my ear. And every single time, I just answer back, "n-no..." then it's "m-m-mommy" again... "n-no."

Then, suddenly, about fifty little guys show up pushing those huge wire cages they use at school for gym class balls and medicine balls... and they start stuffing geese inside them... 😵

Yeah... I also dreamed I gave birth to a shoe. But that's just straight-up nightmare territory—I remember feeling so embarrassed because it was a size 7, and I wear a size 10.

Holy crap, lady, you must be higher than Leon in the seventies if you're having dreams like that. 😵

Pass that blunt, man!
