Even if they had intended to match that level of dysfunction in just four years, they wouldn't have had the time. Beyond that, it's hard to imagine anyone ever surpassing the sheer stupidity and corruption seen under the Republican Party; when historians eventually analyze that era, it will undoubtedly be recorded as one of the darkest chapters in our nation's history. Unfortunately.

In an era where we weren't dealing with wartime chaos and everyone should have been able to focus entirely on fixing the economy, all they managed to do was this: keep the corruption going through privatization, absolutely gut the Democratic Party from the inside, funnel billions into private interests, hand over sensitive documents to international courts, sign away maritime territory, and a whole laundry list of other disasters.
One thing is certain: they’ve caused more damage in those four years than the Republican Party did in fifteen.
