Could someone please enlighten me? I’ve always operated under the assumption that a crime is a crime, regardless of who commits it. So, I find myself wondering—why on earth are we seeing these legal proceedings being leveled against our American veterans?
Look, there is a massive distinction between targeting civilians and engaging combatants, even if both actions are criminal.
Lock the thread already; we've gone on about this far enough.
Look, man, I’m not sitting here making excuses for anyone's crimes, BUT there is a massive difference between someone randomly slaughtering your entire family out of nowhere and you hitting them back in pure retaliation.
The whole world knows it, I know it, and trust me, you're going to find out too.
On one hand, you’ve got Amanda Booth42 and her crowd constantly whining that we're dragging everyone back to some bygone era of communism, yet on the other hand, they can't seem to stop obsessing over World War II.
To hell with the war and all of it. There are plenty of topics like this floating around, so honestly, just open whatever you want to talk about on the Politics Forum. ☕
I am officially resigning as superadmin, effective immediately, and I’m putting this whole Reddit up for sale. Send me your offers via DM if you're interested. ☕
Since my original handle won't be highlighted in pink anymore, I've decided I'm just going to ban all my own alt accounts.
😵
Honestly, why are you all making such a big deal out of this? No regular user can access the Moderator Lounge on any forum anyway—I used to run vBulletin sites back in the day, so I know how this works. 🙄
Look, we already had that thread about the selection of a good moderator, so I figured we could pull off something similar here. If the mods think they're untouchable, they should be able to handle some criticism and deal with this "pressure." 😁
Lay out your suggestions—let's see if we can fill at least a page—and then, fingers crossed, our dear Desiree will set up a poll featuring all of them. 🙂
Feel free to nominate anyone from moderators to supermods or even admins.
Let’s not make life entirely miserable for the current staff; at the very least, someone might end up winning a prestigious title through a landslide vote, even if they happen to be the absolute worst mod on the team. 👍
As for me, I'm putting forward Nipple Twister and frane 2110 as candidates for removal. To put it bluntly, in my opinion, they aren't exactly cutting it when it comes to actually doing their jobs. 😉
The America sub-forum actually has a moderator who is doing an incredible job, and honestly, I thought things would settle down once we had someone like that on board, but it turns out the real issue still lies with the users themselves. Every moderator operates by their own set of rules—some are better at it than others. Personally, I believe there should be a much higher level of tolerance in the America section, because at the end of the day, it’s all about freedom of speech.
I don't agree with Michael Adams2 on much regarding politics; if anything, I think he frequently stirs up unnecessary arguments, but in this specific instance, I feel like the moderators have gone a bit overboard with the bans.
What kind of "sponsored" forum user are we talking about here? Just how much are they getting paid to post this junk, and what’s their actual angle? ☕🙏
Harold Sanders10 said:I was originally just planning on making fun of your betting odds, but now you’ve gone and handed me the perfect excuse to mock your terrible grammar. Thanks for that.
Oh, look at that—the second-class citizens are speaking up. I guess we should just kick the observers in the gut too, right? 🙂
When you run out of actual arguments, you always resort to playing the "grammar police." 🙏
The observer is a moderator over at Old America, so it’s perfectly normal for a mod to hail from those former territories.
There’s also that Diaspora PDF, and if I recall correctly, most of the mods over there are living abroad.
Harold Sanders10 said:Maybe we should throw in the White American Woman and CroKoala too, just so we can hit our female quota? As far as I can tell, there isn't a single sharp-witted leftist over there—except for himself, of course, since he's part of that whole "civic option" crowd.
Look, my grammar was perfectly fine. When I used the term "leftist," I wasn't making any assumptions about the moderator's gender. And let’s be real, those Americans from the Diaspora don't even factor into this discussion, especially when you consider they take more pride in their American identity than anyone else ever could. Simba Os is a right-winger, and driftingdriver is one, too. 😕🙏
Harold Sanders10 said:Honestly, I feel like the moderation team should be offering some space to Stoker, fadedeagle39, 😍 and LjutomBronxBomber too.
I’m not sure if you’re being serious here, but since you asked, let me give you my take. Ideally, mods are supposed to stay objective, though we all know how hard that actually is in practice; personally, I think the fix is simple: have two mods lean left, two lean right, and two sit right in the center.
