ambereagle86 said:Man, Diesel is basically half the price, plus none of these even fit right. What size are you even looking at? 😁

I don't know if you noticed, but I mostly stick to classic straight cuts or stuff that barely tapers. Nothing with extra details or random crap. I hate it when people stare at my brand name, so I'm not really into DSQ, for instance. I just like all shades of blue—prefer the lighter ones, I guess. Just how I like it. Basically, any low or mid-rise DG model with a straight cut works okay for me if they stretch a bit at the button. 🤣
So I grabbed a few pairs in size 36 since I can't squeeze into a 34 anymore, and even these feel tight. I'm done buying stuff for a while. I've actually started trying to lose weight, so I probably won't be going out much anyway.

The only real headache is the fabric quality because it varies so much, so I don't order anything online. Unlike Diesel, which always seems to have that soft, high-quality cotton.

And I'm not really looking into new brands. Honestly, I just lost interest in all that a while ago. 🤷

Seriously, did you not see that photo of him in those shorts?! 😁 I don't know how to bend. 😬

You might just be running low on funds. You should probably have at least $33 plus whatever amount you're planning to spend (just keep in mind it'll be in a foreign currency if you're dealing with international stuff).

How am I supposed to list stuff for sale before I even have it? Or write that something is sold when it isn't?!
The whole idea is that once I find or buy something I don't want anymore, I put it up for sale. 🙂

The issue is that other people here have done similar things and got banned, that's the difference... (so we're all wondering—and I'm not the only one—how some can and others can't)... what's the catch?

Not sure what to tell you; I'm not the moderator here. 🤷

But you're giving everyone else (the ones currently advertising in that group thread) an excuse to start their own separate threads and constantly bump them while adding random items.

Long before I became a mod, I sold gear the exact same way I do now. If there weren't any issues or complaints back then, I really don't get why it's a problem now. 🤷

I just don't like it when someone tries to stand out without actually being different from the rest of us. 😉

I don't see how I'm standing out. If I were a moderator and had my own dedicated clothing thread, that would be standing out; this isn't that.

🙏
I honestly can't believe this... you're 35 years old and wasting your time on this nonsense?! 🙏 Don't you have a kid or a husband to actually spend time with instead of hanging out on Reddit counting everyone else's posts? And if you're going to obsess over my one specific damn topic, you might as well actually buy something for once. ☕

I really don't get why you're so hung up on me. The MO rules clearly state:
4) Do not repost the same ads within a 7-day period.
Nowhere does it say I can't add an item for sale or update my own ad to say something is sold. The fact that those rules apply to the group thread isn't my problem since I'm not advertising in there. 😉
Also, the rules also say:
2) Meaningless posts are not allowed.
Go ahead, try and find a single meaningless post of mine in that thread.

Hopefully, you'll finally leave me alone now.

Btw, must be nice having such a carefree life... ☕

I’m all for setting up a dedicated PDF just for clothing and shoes. That’s what dominates most marketplaces anyway, while everything else is pretty sparse by comparison.

Anyway, are we even on the same page here? I was talking about this specific one. From what I can see, my last post before today was back on September 25th.🤷

rapidrider3 said:Honestly, there are geniuses on this forum who’ll start ten different threads a day just to talk about a single pair of Nikes or some random gym shorts. It's wild.

And then they spend every single day bumping posts and starting threads like mine that just vanish within a couple of days to some random X page I can barely even track down...

I’m 100% on board with this—we definitely need to cap how often people can bump their ads. Personally, I think a 5-day limit would work better than a full week. Also, we should update the rules so nobody is cluttering the boards with a separate thread for every single item they're offloading. It should be one consolidated thread per person. Obviously, that wouldn't apply if someone's just selling a few random things, like three T-shirts and some firewood. 😁
I actually sent a similar suggestion over to the mods a couple of weeks ago. 🙂
Like that one guy said, it’d be killer if we could just get a dedicated PDF specifically for selling clothes, shoes, and fashion accessories.🙂

The rest of us mere mortals can stick to the clothing sales thread or just use this link:

Give me three. Male. If the people selling on this thread decide to move their business elsewhere, I’m closing mine out and following them. 😉

Let me clear something up: am I one of those people who needs a separate thread for every single little thing they own? No. I sell almost everything in one thread—the only exceptions being these jeans, which got their own spot, and these two women's jackets, just because they're women's gear. Do I bump my thread multiple times a day? Not really. On average, I refresh it every three or four days, usually just to add a new item or mark something as sold (since I get constant DMs asking what's still available). Also, I specifically ask people not to reply directly to my posts to bump them. I’m basically turning down free bumps by insisting everyone just hits me up via DM instead.

EDIT:
I'm just scrolling through Marketplace and I see this person reposting that same ad, asking for pictures again... man, what is the deal? Is everyone here blind, or is it just that hard to click a link and actually look at the photos?

And now I'm the one to blame. 🤷
Besides, that ad hasn't been updated since September 25th. 😉

If people could actually figure out the rules after just one edit, we wouldn't even need the ban hammer. 🙂

That’s just how it works; a moderator can't hand out a ban to another moderator. Only the supermods and admins have that kind of authority.

You’ve got spots in Grand Central and at the Port Authority terminal, but honestly, neither one is worth much. I have no idea what happened to them. 🤷

Nah, that account isn't taxed. I think your minimum is $33; mostly, we're not talking about any huge amounts here.

I'm with you on that. Honestly, I don't think we need a PDF. If the current thread is getting too broad, just start a new one specifically focused on the actual content of a single subject's exam.🙂

Charles Ramos7 said:There is definitely a difference here in the States, too. For example, Walmart won't take Diners Club, and plenty of smaller shops don't accept either Diners Club or American Express.
I don't see any real advantage to using Diners Club over the others, and honestly, I can't think of a single smart reason to deal with the hassle.

They've probably been accepting it for at least six months now. 😉

I can't provide any content based on that prompt because "emmica" doesn't contain any actual text to rewrite. Please provide the post you want me to work on! darkmaker94 says:
I've been doing some reading and it looks like most people are leaning toward Mastercard over Diners Club. Honestly, I wouldn't pick either one, but whatever works for people. That said, I can't exactly use a Maestro card to book the flights I need online.

I think Diners Club is the better move if you’re looking for a card that lets you split payments into installments. You can use it for financing at tons of different stores. Plus, ever since JPMorgan Chase picked up Diners Club, they’ve become accepted almost everywhere. The only real downside is that it’s pretty much useless for making international purchases online once you're outside the US.

If you travel a lot or shop online, just stick with a Mastercard. They’re accepted basically everywhere. The only real downside is that you can't really do installment plans unless the merchant has a specific deal with your issuing bank—and honestly, I haven't seen anyone offer that besides Chase.

Honestly, I'd just go with Diners Club. 🙂

Quick question about credit cards in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
I filled out their application online. About a week or two later, a card issuance form showed up at my house. One of my parents had to sign off on it, set a monthly spending limit, and include a recent pay stub (or pension statement). They also asked for a copy of a property deed or something similar—it’s better to just provide it to ensure everything goes through smoothly. I originally thought I just needed to write down my student ID number, but now I think they want a photocopy of the front of the ID sent along with the other paperwork. A week after that, my PIN arrived in the mail, while the actual card was waiting for me in Prague. I've had it for two years now (this one expires this September, so I'll have to reapply), and honestly, I'm stoked with it. Ever since JP Morgan took over, you can use it everywhere, and plenty of places even let you pay in installments. 👍
And the annual fee is only $17.
