Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·
Easy for you to talk about those black bugs... everything's fine. Until those green fossilized mammoths show up.☕
We haven't had any real shockers around here for ages... no electric shocks, and hell, not even a screening of "Flight Over the Coward's Nest"... that legend played out a long time ago.😉
They aren't running around like Inquisition lunatics anymore... trying to "cure" you with a guillotine and chains.🙂

Yeah, and love too. It’s just another neurotic disorder, one of those long-haul ones.😁
Unconditional love is a joke—it’s colorless, reckless, and frankly, it doesn't exist.😛
A little amnesia might actually be useful if you're drowning in long-term credit card debt.😉
Nobody likes depression. Not even at a funeral.🙂
Anxiety? That usually hits right before the end, like a final cry for help... much like those endless, futile suicide threats.🙄
With schizophrenia, a purple aura is acceptable.😍
But Borderi? They live in their own hermetic, black-and-white world.☕...
Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·
Psychosis is basically a cluster of disorders where perception gets totally warped—usually without the person even realizing it. We're talking olfactory, auditory, tactile, or visual hallucinations.
Treatment typically involves antipsychotics (mostly things like Haldol or Moditen combined with Akineton). Just a heads up: a high frequency of psychotic episodes can eventually lead to schizophrenia.
Neuroses, on the other hand, are a completely different beast.
Those codes you see (like F-60, F-43, etc.)? Those are just the standard diagnostic codes used in the DSM.

So what's the issue?
I mean, you said it yourself—you want to fall "crazy" in love. Well, if you're already feeling that crazy level of infatuation, where's the catch? Are we talking fears, or just insecurity...? Why is this situation even considered abnormal?

Way to go, Ronald Rogers27. Honestly, this kind of stuff isn't for everyone.👍
To me, it’s just like real life, or dealing with a bad neighborhood... once the masks slip, people resort to these shady, underhanded tactics to discredit anyone they can't beat with actual logic. Just because someone holds a different opinion, they try to tear them down instead of winning the argument.

Praxiten? Long-term, you're looking at a mild addiction and a low tolerance threshold.

Look, Seroquel is one of those heavy-duty antipsychotics. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because the side effects are brutal. Be careful with these drugs.👍

The IRS just snatched a third of my retirement savings because of some massive tax bill from a decade ago. It's $50,000.
How can they just swoop in and seize funds like that without any warning or heads-up?
And why won't they give my wife the details—what this is actually for, how long the statute of limitations was, or who signed off on it? Was it some judge? Or an IRS board?

Who's responsible for the fighting, the lies, the personal attacks?
The people doing them—the users, obviously.
Whose shame is it?
Theirs, first and foremost.
And secondarily, it's a lapse by the moderator.
What you're asking for requires 24/7 moderation, seven days a week. Do you honestly think anyone—myself included—is crazy enough to sign up for that?
That's why nobody sticks around in moderation for long. You give so much of yourself, and what do you get back?

I'm no better than the moderators who were here before me, but I know exactly what I want, and I'm pushing for it with everything I've got—stopping the bickering, staying objective, and trying to build a better atmosphere. Basically, all of it is aimed at finally getting back to discussing actual spiritual topics. If it works, great. If you guys vote me out? Fine by me too.

There's an old story about a guy—I think he was a Mexican—who set off on a journey riding a horse while his wife walked beside him.
A passerby (a liberal) saw them and told him it wasn't fair to the wife.
So, he got off and walked, and she hopped on the horse.
Then another passerby (a traditionalist) told him it wasn't right for him to walk while his wife rode.
In the end, they both walked.
A third passerby (an economist) said it was foolish and inefficient to walk when they had a horse available.
So, they both rode the horse.
A fourth passerby (an animal rights activist) told them it was cruel to make one poor horse carry both of them.

Moral of the story: you can't please everyone. That's my take on objectivity.

PS
If you agree, I'd love to move these last few posts over to the Forum Quality thread.

-It's all fine, Drake. But let's be real—you can't expect justice or consistency from random forum users. Not surprising, really. That's why you pick a moderator who actually possesses—or at least tries to have—some level of objectivity. I know it's a grind and you often end up being the one getting screwed, acting as mod... wishing you patience and good luck.

casualtiger2, listen, what you heard doesn't matter. But if the spirituality section gets buried under heavy stuff—threats, ad hominem attacks, lies, or just people trying to tear someone down to look better themselves... who’s on the hook when nobody acts? Is it the moderator? It can be a hundred different voices creating chaos, but the mod is supposed to filter that out. I'm not the one meant to do it, right?
If things get heated or turn into full-blown fights and the rules aren't enforced from the jump, isn't the blame on the moderator?
When the actual discussion dies and everyone's just trying to act smart or condescend to others, dragging the quality of the sub-forum down... who's responsible?
I see what you're saying about the negativity on this site, but isn't it the job of those in charge to step in and clear the trash and parasites out of a topic?
Look, I'm not saying we're all saints, but man, when someone crosses the line, it's obvious who needs to step up. Even if I catch a ban for speaking out, whatever. If nothing is done automatically, hate just festers. You end up with cliques and endless wars.
So, whose shame is it if not the moderator's? If they can't handle the negative vibes, then who else will? Just look at the hate speech, the threats, the glorification of drugs dominating the spirituality section. Is that really what spirituality is about?
(Not talking about you... you aren't ruining the topic. But do it for yourself. Try to have a consistent standard for everyone. No favorites, no special treatment for certain users. It would make things easier for everyone, including you. Do you really think I want these arguments? Or that I enjoy being attacked just for voicing an opinion? All I want is a fair standard.)

Sorry, but calling this ego-tripping mess a "thread"... yeah, that’s not funny, it’s just pathetic.🤷..😂

Oh, thanks so much... for the midnight soul-searching jokes. Thanks, Jesse.😂

..yeah, you're just making stuff up too😉..can't you see the most valid argument right there? That classic American quasi-table😁

Look, we aren't even on the same page here. Neither you nor I am the topic. I threw out some questions, but since you won't give me actual answers, I'm done. How many question marks can you even spot in my post? I asked you something—I didn't ask for a deep dive into my shitty grammar.
Goodnight. Good luck to you.👍 If we're going to dive into ad hominem attacks, let's start with that quasi-real table of yours...
If you're going to start this discussion, you better come prepared with actual arguments—especially since you're the one who wrote the damn thing.

Look, kid, if you actually want a serious, reasoned debate—without all that childish, adolescent posturing where you just try to dodge the facts to push your own little agenda—then maybe we could actually reach a conclusion through discussion. If you don't want to do that, hey, that's your call, and I've got nothing against it. But if you had put in even a shred of actual effort... then we might say you're finally on the right track. Right, Flyfish? Self-deception isn't exactly a virtue, is it? 🤣
Yeah, Jesse Adams, it really isn't... just like we said about self-deception. But hey, if being wrong makes you happy, go for it.

..Jesse Adams.. that chart of yours is just brilliant. Truly realistic, since you’re a physicist, so clearly YOU get to be the one deciding things at the top.😁 (Nice little ego boost for you, isn't it?)😂
..Where are the outliers?.. Where's the logical fallacy?.. What about other professions?
..So what, surgeons, vets, lexicographers... they're all idiots? Miles below some arbitrary level of intelligence?🤣
..Or is this just you exercising your freedom of opinion? Because out of all the charts out there, you just had to pick some American one as the gold standard for IQ? (Ever heard that general cultural knowledge of a nation actually factors into the average?)🤷
Summa-summa:.. It must be true, because that's how Jesse Adams found it and posted it.🙏
Well, obviously, it HAS to be truth! I mean, physics is physics, right? It's not just whatever you want, people... If it wasn't, you'd surely prove it with some terrifyingly heavy argument typical of physicists—"well, that's just how it is!"—but no, you subtly convinced us (thanks, Jesse) along with my partial left-hemisphere amnesia...😂
..There. I've explained it. This puts me above you (and Carl Ruiz4 tried explaining it too, but she barely scratched the surface...) and if you're even remotely average, you'll get it... if not, just remember the motto: it's never too late... keep going...
What's with the "spiritual gurus" on this forum!? in Spirituality ·
-Man, I’m a genius.🥳😵:I finally get what silentcyclist3 was getting at in that last post (or was it Robert?🤣 dammit, my memory is shot, I have to keep scrolling back)—yeah, a glitch in the nervous system means DISRUPTION. In the CNS, it’s like the neurotransmitters—my little info messengers—are just slacking off like they're still on summer vacation in Florida.😂I mean, I suspected it before, but I hadn't fully grasped his logic. I used to study this stuff religiously back when I was actually healthy, and hey, repetition is the mother of all learning, right?
-Sorry (for the off-topic rant), I barely slept and my eyes are crossing. I smeared some Catapres on myself last night—those things tank your blood pressure if you overdo it, then you start twitching like a... anyway, then Drake showed up last night (suddenly craving something because he's sober, without any ethanol in sight) asking me for a fix, like I'm some walking Red Cross pharmacy.😁I'm like, what? How are you? How do you feel? And he manages to cobble together a full thought in five minutes: "Well... you know (pause)... the images... uh... (pause, wheezing cough)... it's not... you know, right?"
I nervously repeat everything he said in those five minutes back to him, just so he can figure out what he needs.🤔Then I ask: Are you skipping your meds? Is this a check-up? Nervousness? Psychomotor agitation?🤷Look, we need to reach an understanding. He starts acting indecisive at my place, and then his wife starts calling his cell phone.😂You can hear her through the phone, screaming like a banshee, loud enough to shake the screws loose from the walls.😁He just slams my door and vanishes into the night... honestly, even Quetiapine couldn't make sense of him.😍
-Now I'm going to try to catch some more sleep and see if I can decode this dream situation of yours, like some sort of magic formula for dreaming. (Last night, I fall asleep once and Quetiapine decides to toss me around like a pig on a balcony, waking me up... twice.)
...For the third time, I have this identical but bizarre dream. It’s all internal dilemmas, struggles, and dualities—I could write four pages explaining it to myself.
-Yeah, that thing about the mushrooms is a good rhyme, almost poetic. Anyway, just wanted to say how much I agree. I'm out... Goodnight!
