-Wait, what do you mean "extra"? Maybe you just have your own way of saying things while thinking the same thing—maybe you're just inexperienced, according to Robert (oops, sorry, my bad😳)

-Who knows if those old roads were actually simpler, more innovative, or just better built?😂

-So, how do you handle dreams? How do you interpret them using your "terminology"? (Do you fly in your sleep, like me and everyone else?)😁

What kind of medicine are you even talking about, hollowtinker18—but if you really feel the need to consult a doctor, go ahead... satisfy your curiosity... no harm done. 😎

Didn't catch that, my bad. (You know I need a little extra boost to stay sharp.)😁What kind of hell were you used to? Because here I am again, just like some kind of nightmare—even if it’s a mild one. Let's go.🤷(For the first sentence)

doctor's sentence:
Wait, are you kidding me? How exactly does that "fulfill a desire"?☕ What a joke. We just tap our fingers against our own skin like some counter-intuitive ritual, and suddenly hollowtinker18 is cured? Yeah, right. Body hacking this, body hacking that... what a scam. You have to contact them, but honestly, do you even have any actual alternative methods?😂
God, it’s actually hilarious when I look back on it all. Before my Rocking era, my old lady used to drag me around to all sorts of weirdos—everything from Ayurveda and music therapy sessions with some Dr. Giovanni to those Russian types with their alternative computer setups. My dad once took me to the local YMCA where I actually saw a couple of people collapse into these deep, trance-like states, supposedly "healing" themselves right there. We went through seven or eight different bioenergy healers before my own self-proclaimed guru finally took over and "realigned" me.😂)
silentcyclist3 is tearing up brain molecules—and honestly, I get why. It’s fine. What’s the main thing for me? Back in college, before the war hit, I was on top of my game. A model student, really. Three years in, then everything went south with the conflict and I stepped up to serve. Now? I’ve forgotten about 95% of what I studied. Total amnesia. You go to war, you step up... and just lose it all. Plus, back during freshman year, I nearly kicked the bucket from mushroom poisoning. Green agarics. Spent 48 days in the ICU under some old lady's care. She thought she was making a "last supper" with those wild mushrooms, but she had no clue how dangerous they were.😂...my bad (English)☕Look, I’m laying out my life story here just so someone can finally fix me. But you all just sit there philosophizing. I can barely get a word out before my thoughts start racing—like some total lunatic—and the whole train of thought just derails.
Exhausted. Bone-tired. Haven't slept in two nights, so now I'm seeing double and the walls are practically crumbling around me. I'll just go deal with my own mess. silentcyclist3, watch out—we'll talk, but I'm telling you, things aren't going to play out the way you imagined. That's the catch. All those twisted, devilish projections of yours.
Just remember... or maybe explain why the devil always shows up dressed as a lamb. Ha. Yeah.
Hey.👍 Is that how you're supposed to say hello? Is it even appropriate?
Hey everyone—how many of you are actually out there?

Possessive? What/who would I ever want to possess?

Curiosity? 🙂 You were just dying to know what your self-proclaimed guru was talking about! 😁

What’s the deal with "catch or hunting without..."? And why on earth would you have been "hunting" me in the first place?
Do you think I'm lying or just stalling? No emojis from me—I’ve had some weird experiences with them. Especially when they feel "toxic" or fake. They just clutter up this whole forum and end up confusing me personally. You get what I mean? My honest take... look, I wish I were playing games. I can explain more if you want, fine. Just don't take it the wrong way.🙂 (😂Can't get the link to work. I'll just pull it out sentence by sentence instead. Cool?

Wait, wait... now I’m starting to sound like that self-proclaimed spiritual guru. You know the one—the guy who was constantly baffled by everything, including his own "glitchy speech" and his whole satanic-demon vibe, minus the pentagrams.🙂(I mean, what can I even say...) It’s like—"Why does everyone have it out for him?" (asking that seriously, yet somehow childishly). Yeah, the point is scattered, just harder for me to wrap my head around. But you're right; you aren't the only one telling me this. Can you actually follow along and get what I'm saying?
So, what do you guys think? Why is the spike breaking up like this, and where exactly is the root cause?
Sometimes I feel like I’m getting hit with a million pieces of information at once. It's impossible to track. If anyone here knows anything, please explain it to me—it's easier to talk when I don't have to look someone in the eye. I've got so many issues now that I can't tell what caused what. Everything just crosses over into a mess. Honestly, maybe it's the drugs, or maybe all these pills hitting my memory. My head feels like it's spinning. I can't go out in the sun without an epileptic seizure, then there's this syndrome from some explosion hitting my head... ear issues I'd rather not mention, PTSD, and my pituitary gland is a wreck because of how Pam hit the sella turcica. Now I need medication for life because my metabolism is shot—calcium and phosphorus levels, osteopenia, you name it. Plus all the meds for physical stuff after I got injured during a rupture back in '96. And then there's this. Since the war ended in '96, I fell into drugs because life didn't seem worth living. That was the moment everything changed. I met this self-proclaimed "spiritual guru." I don't blame him, despite how naive I was. I was a good target—came back from the war confused, broken, vulnerable. He saw I was an easy mark, someone who had been honorably discharged from service, and he circled me for a long time until we both went down—he to the grave, and me to hell. I snorted for a long time; I used to hate it, but then I became part of it. You know how the system works that first year while you're trying to get your footing. You have money, but without him, you have nothing. He knows how to make it and blow it, and he won't move without cash. So for a year or two, I paid, and he brought the stuff from the dealers—we split everything fifty-fifty. That's how he trapped me. After that, we were just spiraling deeper and deeper. You fall, and you try to hide that you can't change your ways. It's always, always the same story.
Look, if I'm off-topic, just say so. You started this thread, so you're bound to deal with some haters—people always find something to whine about, even when they have no right to. But that’s on them, not me. I just call it like I see it. I tell the truth. If I don't get something, I ask. Simple as that.
-That’s why I was asking about the truth. Honestly, I didn't mean to push too hard.
-I don't know. You tell me what exactly would kill me. I forget things constantly—total amnesia. But hey, if we could just wipe the slate clean so I don't have to keep begging for answers, since there's still plenty more I haven't said... then maybe it wouldn't be such a chore.🙂

briskraven28 said:Where are you headed, hollowtinker18? I was merely suggesting that your grammar makes you a bit difficult to follow—nothing more... 😳

-sorry, maybe my English is just trash because of my own terminology—that’s all. You’re saying it’s strictly a grammar issue?😳 😉(😂🙂...well, it doesn't hurt to laugh once in a while. They say if you let go, you might actually thrive through the chaos with all that meddling—me, playing at being wise, more awake than hopeful. Or am I just wide awake? Not everyone gets that luxury, I guess. "
-sorry, (fine, have it your way) my soul, my one and only, maybe a little shaken lately. Am I losing my grip? I used to be charming—if I wasn't such a fraud. I'm lying to myself for no reason, but I'm changing... stuck in this tomb of mental addiction. My own... well, 🥳, those jerks. They'll see what happens when I finally settle things, like a little bird... you know? You can't fully capture drama like in some old classic—maybe something by Hemingway or an old French poet? I tweaked it a bit 😁. Before the war, I watched him, wondering who would remember everything. Specifically, when Rose betrays him halfway through the ballad (and since everything to you is just rhymes and verses—like movies or books—it's all philosophy, the essence of spirit and hypocrisy, how everything comes back to haunt you). His own words hit him like a boomerang, fate slamming into his stubborn head. (depending on how subjective you want to be) He’ll just say: "I'll pierce you, you wretch, at the end of the song."
That's philosophy and life for you. It all hits home once the masks fall off. "I'm pretty sure I've drawn a solid parallel"—correct me if I'm wrong, okay?
-...and grammar (just like life) is a mess. One misplaced comma and the whole meaning shifts. (Please, explain. If it's hard to read because of the grammar, maybe it'll just sweep me away and leave nothing behind, who knows?😳 Oh, that's just my official terminology, obviously)
-(sorry, but is that prejudice? I don't know. Based on what I've seen, you're definitely in medicine, finished some psych major with decent success, and I wouldn't want to be wrong based on my own perceptions without digging into your private business)-but you're missing a smiley face. Is it better without them? (Personally, I think they're fine lately😁)
-if anything about my intentions is unclear, feel free to ask. Even I lose my way or miss a turn sometimes...👍

-Fine, briskraven28 is trying her best. I just need a shot of vitamins to catch whatever she’s actually saying, or what she thinks she’s saying.😁..Same for you guys. Different labels, different terminology, but the end result is always the same death. Your movements might be stalled, but you're still heading toward the finish line—which isn't the same thing as spinning in a circle of nonsense and false goals.
-So, haven't you all unconsciously graduated already (or am I just tripping?)?
-Look, briskraven28, based on certain definitions of this and that, you get it, right? If you haven't tried it, then—well, you can't talk about the same thing, but that's not the point. I can explain if needed. And why are you so afraid of questions when you're giving such specific answers? What am I supposed to be afraid of? Oh, right. They taught us fear comes from hatred and insecurity, didn't they?

-Yeah, silentcyclist3, but why am I reminding you and why this whole "curiosity..." thing?
-Look, if the goal is for me to reach the truth through some dramatic bullshit, don't bother. I could have found it without knowing it—what would I have lost? (Ten plus years, massive amounts of money, nerves, stupidity, man... just screwing myself over at dawn and cursing the day I was born... you feel me? That's the price of truth... and once it's gone, you can't get it back or make it right ever again.
-See, someone overhears it, sees it, hears it, watches a movie—but they aren't a consumer. So they just shovel and push the same old rumors—why? You say, "you won't explain it to anyone who hasn't tried it"—so why go through all that effort to force those specific beliefs on people?
-Honestly, better if he never tried it at all. Period.
(Look, just a cliché "truth-teller," this pseudo-intellectual artist, who's also a heavy opioid addict and an even bigger junkie from the older generation ((even movies didn't show it that way, and they were pretty gritty)). No, we have enough shitty LSD and ecstasy to go around, but this smart-ass wants to feel it immediately, even though he's never been high, so he waits for a dealer to offer it, wondering if he should take the hit🙏 just so he can see it... but nothing. In the end, he messed everything up and it turned out to be total gelatin. That's how it goes: when a hungry ass thinks it knows everything after hearing a rumor, it burns everything down and ruins it.
(Whatever... we almost beat him to death ourselves... haha.) Imagination can play tricks on you.

It's either paranoia or a wrong interpretation, just a side effect of the entity😁 (escape the thought—mental fatigue)
-Hey, nobody offended me, actually, thanks.
-An insult (briskraven28 knows for sure) can just be the result of projecting the same thing onto yourself.
-I think you were speaking your mind too, and you elaborated quite correctly. Goodnight!
-BTW—this is your topic, silentcyclist3, you're the author? Fine, just don't get possessive.😁

Lies drive the world just as much as the truth does. Why separate them then, if lies are just as responsible for who we are as the truth is?

So, you're saying it isn't true to you that lies exist? 🙂

Always, and only always, you alone can reach your own realization; no one else can tell you what it is.
There are heaps of allegories all around us telling us about the truth; we just need to be able to recognize them. And the power to recognize them is tied exclusively to your own life experience. How do you think someone with different life experiences could explain to you, through mere definitions, how they perceive the things around them?

Could someone please explain what it actually feels like to be on horse snuff, specifically for someone who has never tried anything like it before?

Dušan? A master's touch! 😁

Aha, right back where we started. Same old story.😁
What kind of life experience do you actually need—specifically when it comes to the power of recognition? Honestly, what can I even tell you? I sort of get it, and yet, I don't. Not really.
I could explain the whole thing to unkomed, but I’m not going to. It goes against my principles—and mine alone. Or so I think, if I'm not mistaken.
I dealt with one of those self-proclaimed "gurus" once—some wannabe artist type. These losers act like they're geniuses just by putting everyone else down. It’s their only trick. Just talks and talks all day like a broken record without ever actually saying anything of substance. He basically manipulated his whole crew just to line his own pockets. Pathetic. I think that's exactly how he went out, too. Tanya knows the type; she wrote about him on the forums back in the day.
Why'd you even ask about my past? Honestly... yeah, I was in hell. All thanks to my own screw-ups and that "artist" who fed me nothing but fairy tales just to get what they wanted. Not blaming them, though. It’s just wild how many people like that you run into when life hits you with fear, hate, insecurity, and indecision. Like some sick coincidence—as if it were somehow meant to happen to me, wasting an entire decade of my life.
Oli, you asking me that last part seriously or just being rhetorical? And what about you? Could you actually do it? ...Ah, I get it, sorry. I could too, honestly. It wouldn't matter. Having experience on all sides would be my thing... but then again, who’d even bother reading or listening?

(Listen, you never really know)... and you guys are discussing some high-level stuff here. This "pusher of meaning"—what is that supposed to be? Some kind of dietary supplement or something?

silentcyclist3 said:The truth is that lies are also true. 🙂
We live within lies just as much as we live within truth. It's a balance, I guess.
What kind of truth? 😂
Do you really think I can provide a simple, straightforward answer to a question like that?
Maybe I can just say that certain patterns exist because they always unfold the same way, and those rules manifest in every detail, from a single molecule to the world and out to the entire universe.
You are both lie and truth. I suppose the more you recognize the falsehood within yourself, the more you will grasp the truth.

Multiple truths?
I would say instead that we only ever perceive fragments of a single truth. 🙂

-Okay, so you've given me some microscopic precision on those terms.🤣
-Truth? Why even ask? lol
-Look, I'm relatively new to this whole spirituality thing. I don't know if everyone else is actually some Zen master or spiritual superhero, but what are they doing? Are they all high on LSD-Coke and just masking it—as someone once said—with walking sticks? Whatever. You and Vertigo-ste seem grounded in your spirituality; at least you aren't just flexing knowledge like the rest of them. (Shout out to the exceptions, I guess.)
-Isn't humility, wisdom, and meekness supposed to be the hallmarks of spirituality?
-I guess we aren't using the exact same dictionary, but hey, we're looking in the same direction.😁(For starters)
-It feels like people love overcomplicating things just so they have something to lecture about, usually adding that little disclaimer: "I might be wrong, feel free to correct me."🤷-🙂
-The concept of "spirituality"—everyone interprets it differently. It seems subjective to some, while others just cling to it to feed their ego.
-Fine. I get the explanation about truth, but it’s hard for me to wrap my head around right now (and honestly, I need a bit more time)😁—how can you equate truth with a lie and weigh them like a scale?
-Why can't we just view truth and lies as separate things?
-And what are these "pieces" of one truth? How many are there in the end? (You did say "one truth," after all.) Why?
-With every vague answer you give, I could just keep asking "why" forever, spinning in circles until we either get dizzy or finally hit the truth.🙂
(Look, if you aren't feeling it, just say so instead of being difficult, okay? But if you want to hear how I perceive my own truth, fine... whatever. I won't delete this; if it's unclear, we'll figure it out.)
-There, six questions. I'm waiting for a decent response. (If it's hard to explain, just try describing how you experience and interpret it personally. Thanks.)
Btw—please, humbly and proudly, stop attacking our master Dustin in the comments of his high-quality, high-budget, representative, mega-spiritual posts.😁(Wouldn't want anyone to miss out on that wisdom, right?)☕

We recognize who we are and what our purpose is...

The reasons vary, and judgment is just one consequence of those reasons. Realizing something doesn't necessarily mean you will act in accordance with it.
As they say in those astrology books, a human being oscillates over time; circumstances change, and our reactions change along with them.

Yes, I suppose I wasn't clear. I'll drop the word "width" and just stick to the frames.

The truth exists beyond perception.

-tell me, please (I'm actually curious)... these "frameworks," are they like molds or something?... people, from what I've seen, love pigeonholing everything into their own little boxes (which makes this all a bit too vague, right?)
-is everything inside those boxes just a lie, or...?
-what kind of truth are we talking about?
-how do you define truth? what even is it? (do you have to understand the lie first to find the truth?)

Gary James88 said:That percentage is definitely inflated. People always throw around that 30% figure for general psychological issues, but if you actually look at personality disorders specifically, we're probably looking at a few percent—which feels much more realistic.

-Yeah, that’s a massive difference in medicine or psychiatry. Claiming 60% of the population has a personality disorder (psychopaths), versus saying 30% have "some kind" of psychosomatic or psychological issue... There are official statistics out there for a reason. You can't just toss around numbers for people or patients like you're counting rotten potatoes or chickens...
-Personally, I don't buy this 60% figure for a second. That would mean psychopaths outnumber healthy people... which is impossible. Not to mention what that implies about the rest of us—that we're all just chronically psychopathic by predisposition or some other diagnosis. At that point, there’s no "healthy middle" left.
So, just to add to the checklist for spotting them:
1-smooth talkers with an incredible amount of charm
2-grandiose self-confidence (way too cocky without any actual basis)
3-constant boredom or thrill-seeking (gamblers, black-and-white thinkers)
4-chronic, expert lying
5-manipulation and fraud
6-zero emotion or remorse (or they just fake it because they're good actors)
7-shallow feelings (totally unprepared for marriage/kids, etc.)
8-total lack of empathy (cold as stone)
9-parasitic lifestyle
10-poor impulse control and zero tolerance
11-promiscuous sexual behavior
12-no long-term goals or plans (just living day-to-day)
13-irresponsibility and impulsivity
14-refusal to take responsibility for their own actions
15-countless short-term flings, affairs, or even marriages
16-multi-layered criminal tendencies
19-violating parole (reckless and immature)
etc....
-For example, there are millions of them. They're in our neighborhoods, on the streets, among friends, in politicians, lawyers—basically, everywhere in professional and social structures. I've been screwed over, cheated, and burned myself plenty of times.
-Look, if I started analyzing every single point here, I'd be here all day.😁

-silentcyclist3 and briskraven28-🙂👍....I’m right there with you on how communication works on this forum, whether it actually goes anywhere or just hits a wall. Honestly, in so many threads—topics that have been chewed over a thousand times already—I just don't have the energy or the desire to drag an argument to its conclusion with someone who refuses to listen.
It doesn't even have to be an old topic, either. The reality is that some people (just like in the real world) just have a built-in system for spitting venom, belittling others, ganging up, and tearing down their interlocutors just to feed their own egos. So, what's the point of endless persuasion? Long paragraphs, arguments, pseudo-arguments... for whom? For what? And what does it achieve? From what I can see, this isn't just limited to philosophy; it's baked into much more straightforward topics too, no matter how trivial they might seem.
If you don't think exactly like them, or if you disagree even slightly with their "wisdom," you're immediately met with a wave of condescension laced with low-brow insults about your intelligence.

No matter what I say, she twists my words to attack me or acts like I'm just being "grateful." I try, though. My therapist told me to use a mantra: it's not her fault, her upbringing made her this way, she isn't a bad person. It worked for a while, but not anymore.
How am I supposed to believe in myself when she’s spent my whole life telling me I’m incompetent and labeling me with all these negative things? I’m planning to get married and move out next year... should I just endure this for a little longer?

Yeah, and she even messed with my relationship. She only defended my partner because she hates the city he's from (it's a diverse area, but she doesn't care that I'm in love and he's actually everything I ever wanted in an American spouse!) but I didn't let her get to me, and now I'm the happiest person alive!

Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·
Paul Morales6 said:Alright, I’m finally stepping into the ring. It took me a hell of a long time to scrape together enough courage and positive energy just to join this conversation. Honestly, I have no idea how the rest of you lunatics on this forum manage to talk about this stuff so openly and extensively; for me, communicating with the outside world is a massive, uphill struggle in my day-to-day life. I was officially diagnosed with schizophrenia three years ago. I spent some time checked into a psychiatric ward in Seattle, and I see my specialists regularly—my psychiatrist, Vlasta Rudan (may she rest in peace), and my psychopharmacologist. I’m currently on five different medications, with Haldol serving as my primary antipsychotic. When I was younger, my hallucinations were much more vivid and, frankly, more creative. Now that I’m under strict therapy, it’s mostly auditory hallucinations, conspiracy theories, and "signs" from the other side. I truly believe it's true that we possess more acute senses—that we feel everything, from love and hate to happiness and sorrow, with much greater intensity. Actually, I'm starting to feel a bit of panic rising, so I’m signing off for now. I might post again down the road, so keep your fingers crossed for me.

—Come on, Paul Morales6, buddy. Was it any easier opening up like this online, even if you're shy?... I get it. I've had a few run-ins with cases similar to yours. I cover a massive spectrum of psychopathology myself, just without the schizophrenia.
—Hey Paul Morales6, if you don't mind me asking, when did you start cutting? Why did you do it? Did it actually feel like relief in the moment?... Was the mental pain just so intense you had to "overpower" it with physical pain? ...You aren't alone. I know plenty of people, including groups from all sorts of movements, who did the exact same thing.
