Oily hair struggles in Health ·
So, about a month ago, I was killing time waiting for something at the CVS and decided to just sit in on this free scalp analysis because, honestly, I was bored out of my mind.

First off, turns out I’ve been dealing with chronic dandruff—though you wouldn't even see a speck of it on the surface—it's all deep in the roots. And apparently, I have to wash my hair every other day because it gets so lifeless and greasy. Like, not just "normal oily," but seriously, it’s freaking ridiculous.

Anyway, the lady there gave me two products. They were some fancy Italian brand, and honestly, my brain is mush right now so I can't remember the names, but I'll update you guys tonight.

One is a cleansing foam, and the other is a tea tree-based lotion you apply after washing.

The price tag is insane, though. The foam was around $30, and the lotion was $150. But man, it is worth every single cent. I went back for a follow-up three days ago, and the results are amazing—like, actually phenomenal. If I stick to this for another month, I think I can finally stop. My scalp and hair feel incredible right now.

So yeah, if this helps anyone, awesome.
Ovaries: Cysts and related issues [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
First off, thanks Alex White6, that link was super helpful. 🙂

Timothy Richardson10 said:So, back when I was only 17, they found this massive cyst on my ovary—it was like 8.5 cm. It actually kept swelling up before it just... popped on its own. Honestly? It hurt like hell. After that, the cyst kept coming back for about six months straight. My gynecologist put me on some pills for a while, but it was so long ago I can't even remember what they were called. Since then, though, they haven't come back. Actually, two different doctors told me that most women deal with cysts without even realizing it. They often pop up during your cycle and then just burst right around ovulation. People call them "chocolate cysts" because if they rupture, you might see this dark discharge during ovulation. They basically just show up and then leave. As long as you go in for regular checkups if you're prone to them, just to keep an eye on how things are growing, you're good. That's really it. 👍

Regarding that quote... erm, what does "it was painful" actually mean? In what sense are we talking about "painful"? Like, are we talking a knife-to-the-gut kind of pain—not that I know exactly what that feels like, obviously—or is it more like those intense cramps you get from having too much of something? Or what?

Second thing, you’ve actually got me a little intrigued now. Basically, I was having this "chocolate" bleeding for ten days before I could even make it in for my appointment. My doctor told me to just wait until the bleeding stopped before coming in. She called it "ovulation bleeding." But honestly, in my case, the uterine lining is totally clear and the fluid is transparent. Now I'm just sitting here confused.

Now I’m lost. You’re saying they burst during ovulation, so there's nothing left because they just leak out with that bleeding?

I don't get it—why was I bleeding if everything looks totally clear and, like, freaking huge? Did it leak out? Meaning it actually was bigger before? Or... I don't even know. 😬

Look, fine. I’ll just go ahead and grill Ginić about all those specifics during my next follow-up appointment, but god, I am sooo impatient. 🙂

Ovaries: Cysts and related issues [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Hey there. 🙂

Since I’m basically clueless right now, can some ladies who actually know their stuff please point me in the right direction? Honestly, Googling this stuff just makes me super paranoid. Talk to me like I'm a six-year-old and explain what's going on.

So, yeah.

Over the last few months, thanks to some private drama, my health has been a total mess—mostly down there, specifically urinary and genital issues (bladder infections, yeast infections, and all that crap). Of course, dealing with all that takes time, patience, and nerves of steel, and I've been trying to hang in there. For the most part, I've been feeling almost normal these past couple of weeks.

But then, I got my period on September 1st (ten days earlier than usual), and it went normally for about six or seven days. Then, just a week later, around September 15th, I started bleeding again. Like, what the hell? I called my OBGYN immediately to get an appointment. I finally went yesterday.

Basically, I have a clear cyst on my ovary (I think 🤔), measuring about 5.5 cm x 3.5 cm, and my doctor prescribed Provera.

My question is: what on earth is that Provera supposed to do? And where did this sudden cyst even come from? It wasn't even a thing on my last ultrasound back in June!

Also, how do you even live with one cyst or multiple cysts? I feel like such an idiot for not looking into this properly before acting like an adult.

Hi. 🙂

Whoa, hold up, don't leave yet. Stick around for a sec.

Real talk though—once you're done with her, does she have to feed you? Because seriously, you're losing all those precious proteins and nutrients for nothing, man. Just think about it.

If I were you and she didn't even whip up a quick sandwich after, I wouldn't be messing with her anymore... honestly, I'd just tell the neighbors we're done.

It’s about principle.

Man, you're just talking out of your ass here. Total nonsense.

It’s just narrow-mindedness, greed, and all those other shitty ways humans act, usually just to justify being terrified of their own shadow.

Look, man, there's no shame in it. Phobias are phobias. Just own up to it, it'll make you feel better... come on, just say it. It's fine, we won't judge you or anything.

slylynx68 said:I’d never actually celebrate hearing that someone was starving. But hey, people are all over the map, I guess.

Yeah, well, you’ll probably be doing a victory lap when you hear patients are flatlining because there’s no blood supply left. Exactly. People really can be something else, huh?

slylynx68 said:Why? Because they didn't give me a snack after I donated blood, so now I'm done donating.

That’s what's eating you?

No, that's what's eating YOU. Seriously, what kind of logic is that? You're throwing a massive tantrum over some pathetic little lunch? How much do you even weigh? Is it really that big of a deal that you missed one measly meal, whether you were at the VA or a hospital? Are you seriously acting this entitled and trying to withhold something life-saving just because of THAT?

Moron.

Yeah, we’d probably have to wait for someone to actually discover what DNA even is first. 😁

Man, I’m getting old, and honestly? That ain't changing anytime soon 😁😁
Let’s keep the sarcasm flowing. Just enough to prove we’re all living in some freaking fairy tale where everything is perfect, everyone’s healthy, happy, and full... and God forbid anyone does anything even slightly questionable. Especially if something as trivial as, I don't know... life itself is on the line.

Seriously though, guys, I don't get it. There’s a rat in the grain everywhere you look. What, did you all drop out of school or something? Why does this stuff actually shock you?

Personally, I’m shocked by something else entirely.

It shocks me that people actually realize—and still go through with it—that someone pushed into a corner like that becomes a dangerous person. Like, how? How are you not terrified of losing everything? Like, your car? Or having someone show up at your door looking for payback (like one of Aaron Gonzalez's uncles)? Or just getting blindsided on the street and getting jumped?

That’s what gets me. That pure arrogance. That misplaced confidence.

Doesn't it get to you? ☕
I haven't got a clue. Honestly, I just want to move past all this crap as fast as I can. And that’s only happening once I finally pay off this debt. At least, that's the plan.
The patient actually sat down and had a word with the surgeon.

Look, I’m not gonna get into the nitty-gritty. But basically, that chat made one thing crystal clear: the price is the price. If you want the surgery done, you pay up. Period. And they even dropped a little hint—if word about this gets out, that doctor will make sure no other surgeon in the hospital touches the patient. Pretty shady, right?

Nice, ain't it?

Anyway, a good chunk of time has passed since then, the procedure went off without a hitch, and honestly, I’m just crossing my fingers that everything turns out alright.
Resurrecting this ancient thread of mine just to give everyone who was asking for an update some closure.

The damage— $2333.

Thanks for all the input and the takes, seriously. If there's one thing I took away from this whole mess, it's that I'd honestly rather kick the bucket than go through a nightmare like that ever again.

And hey, thanks to everyone for the well wishes regarding the recovery, but I should probably clear something up—it wasn't actually me undergoing the surgery.

But yeah, my better half still had to take out a massive loan just to cover the bill.

Anyway, thanks again, everyone.

Look, he told me, "You can kill me if you want," and gave me this little smirk. By the way, it wasn't E. coli—it was something else starting with an "R".

Ginić said. And obviously, there are other ways to get it, just not in the way I just described—not in my case, anyway.

See, you basically just described my life...
I dealt with a bladder and kidney infection caused by E. coli—it lives in your gut, but if it wanders where it doesn't belong, things get nasty fast...
That discharge popped up right around the same time, too. I even brought it up to Ginić, but he couldn't have cared less about what I was saying...

Dump Ginić then, but hey, that's your call 😁 btw, and yeah, I was on antibiotics for a bladder infection too 😁

Robin Diaz4:

So, I dealt with this thick white discharge—like, seriously white, looking straight up like yogurt—for the longest time. Nothing worked. Finally, my doctor decided to run a swab, and turns out? Absolutely nothing was wrong. 😕

Get this: 😁 I had that same white discharge issue forever. My regular doctor at the local clinic wouldn't say a word about it. I asked him like, what, two times if it was normal, and the guy was just totally clueless. Just "mhm"ing me while I'm standing there. So, I went to a specialist instead. That guy tells me I have some bacteria (can't remember the name, honestly) that’s actually pretty common, usually found near the anus—yeah, mostly from anal sex—and he says Klimicin would clear it up if I wanted to deal with it, since it's more or less normal.

Alright, so I finish the treatment, right? Five days of it. Then, like three days later—wtf 😕—I get a yeast infection. 😬 Apparently, it happened because I was on antibiotics a few months before taking the Klimicin.

God, life is such a joke. 🙂
