And Vuk Vrhovec? I bet the crowds are way thinner there.
Honestly, this movie was a disaster... absolute bottom-of-the-barrel trash. It’s been a long time since I’ve sat through something this bad. 🕺
I don't even have the energy to get into the weeds here; everyone else has already nailed it.
Margot Robbie is stunning, but even she couldn't save this mess from the atrocious costume design. Honestly, her performance alone was the only reason I didn't walk out halfway through.
A few people were hanging out at the Hemsworths' BBQ and filmed some random home video. Then they just tacked Christian Bale onto it later? Because honestly, that’s exactly how it feels—like some stupid family prank to kill time on a boring weekend. And a pretty bad one at that. If this is what Marvel is settling for...
A stupid, boring movie... honestly, it was dull despite everything happening on screen and how much they crammed into it. I was bored after just ten minutes, but I told myself, "Alright, let's just see where this goes." Why the hell didn't I just turn it off? 🤦

The virus tends to mutate toward more contagious yet less lethal strains, which aligns perfectly with historical patterns and what we’ve seen play out before. Everything we know right now suggests that Omicron fits that exact profile. The real question is how the mainstream media will spin it; panic regarding Omicron is still being manufactured everywhere. This could serve as a convenient exit strategy for those in power.
Exactly! Nobody wants to hear that this version is mild; they just want to scream "new variant!" and trigger the usual cycle of panic, lockdowns, masks in public, remote work, and canceling everything in sight. 🙂 It completely ruined Christmas for nothing. 🕺
Strange movie... It was actually holding together for me until about halfway through, but once those ghosts showed up, I was totally checked out. 🙄
I don't get why they barely touched on her obvious mental breakdown when they practically teased it from the very first scene. 🤔 What, did she just magically snap out of it?
And what ever happened to the cop? Is he alive? Dead? Does it even matter since he's just some guy? ☕
Anya Taylor-Joy is stunning, though. I’d love to see her in something with more modern themes. Anyway, that's my two cents. 🥱
Honestly, just a mess of a movie that makes zero sense. 👎
Total letdown. It’s such a shame they tried to tie something this mediocre to a masterpiece like The Sopranos. ☕
James Gandolfini was underwhelming here, too. Ray Liotta was decent enough playing that "prison brother" type, but Nivola? Forget about it. He was totally lifeless—it’s like he was actually scared to sink his teeth into a role like this. 🤔

I honestly think people just love playing the victim to manipulate others. Take my friend, for example. She gets into a massive car wreck—totaled her car—and she lives way out in the middle of nowhere. On top of that, she’s got a toddler, a sick mom, asthma... basically, she’s a walking disaster zone. So, naturally, I’m trying to be a good person and help her out. I’m sending her links to grocery delivery services, suggesting she hire a cleaning service, trying to call her—but she won't pick up because she's supposedly "too overwhelmed" and "too busy" with all this chaos. Fine. I backed off and did what I could. Then, we finally meet up yesterday for the first time in over a year, and she starts bragging about how she's buying a vacation condo in Florida. I was floored. Like, WTF? You don't have ten seconds to answer a phone call, but you suddenly found the bandwidth to scout real estate? You can barely keep your head above water, everything falls on your shoulders, and now you're adding a second home to the pile? Since when did she have time to browse listings? It’s blatant manipulation. It's pure sympathy-seeking, and once you actually look past the drama, everything seems perfectly fine...
Not to mention, we spent maybe five minutes talking about my life.
The factory where she worked shut down, and since that town was basically built around that one plant, the whole place just collapsed. Everyone packed up and left. She couldn't even sell her house because nobody would touch it. She didn't leave by choice; she left because there was nothing else to do once everyone else bailed. The movie laid all of this out right at the start.

Some people claim they're just victims of a ruthless capitalist system... but if you ask me, living out of a van, jumping from campsite to campsite, is way harder financially and practically than just having a steady job and renting an apartment somewhere...
Just imagine constantly switching jobs... always going through those adaptation phases where you have to adjust to everything... and on top of all that, you're fighting for survival in a van when it hits -5°F!
Because from what we see in the movie, our lead actress is hardworking and responsible... which means she hasn't just given up on life. To me, the people who make sense are the transients under the bridge who do nothing... just lying around waiting to kick the bucket! But these people? I don't get them.🤔 Think about it for a second... what kind of fuckin' freedom is that? What did they actually find?! A purpose?!
They're just prisoners of their own disappointments and failures! And now, by choosing this lifestyle, they're consciously destroying their own existence! It's pure masochism! Systematically and slowly tearing themselves apart is the only pleasure they have left. It's sad...
I wonder... how did this movie even get so much hype?! It was an absolute Oscar favorite from the moment nominations were announced, so it’s hardly a shock that it won.
In the States, you need decent credit to even rent an apartment; usually, they want three to six months of rent upfront, plus security deposits and all that. If you actually paid attention, every single actor in this movie is working low-paying, seasonal, temp jobs. How the hell are they supposed to save up enough for rent with that? Sure, you could live in a motel, but that's more expensive and lower quality than owning your own vehicle. What you unfortunately don't grasp (and you don't have to, really) is that in America, there's a massive, rapidly growing population of people over 60 who are living on the edge of poverty or are outright destitute—people who are too sick or old to work. This movie is just a tiny snapshot of that reality. There are plenty of good documentaries on the subject; look some up if you want. Or just keep believing the nonsense you wrote. ☕
I thought this movie was absolutely stunning—poetic, heartbreaking, yet somehow optimistic all at once. It’s really a story about survival and carving out your own path in life, no matter how unconventional that might look. I actually ended up tearing up by the end... it hit me right in the feels 🕺 Maybe that's because I know what it's like when life hits you like a runaway semi-truck, then decides to circle back and run over you two or three more times just for kicks. And then you're expected to just get up and keep going, right? Find a way. This woman (and several people around her) did exactly that. She found a way that was uniquely hers.
Look, I get why it wasn't everyone's cup of tea, and honestly, it probably won't be for people looking for some typical Hollywood formula. It’s slow, the pacing drags a bit, there isn't much dialogue, and the lead character is totally locked away in her own head. If I had to agree with any of the critics, it would be the claim that Fern doesn't show any emotion or refuse to open up. That's debatable, though, considering she had plenty of chances for both romance and deep friendship and turned them all down. But then again, wouldn't the whole point of the movie be lost if she had just stayed with that guy or moved in with her friend?
It’s a special film, and I’m really glad I watched it exactly when I did in my life
