Well, if that's how you want to play it, here's another one that was actually nominated for an Oscar

And this one actually snagged an Oscar too

If that’s really what you're looking for 😕
How did you guys find this movie? in Movies ·
My dad and I were supposed to catch "Tarzan and the Amazons" at the American Film Institute.

He somehow got it into his head that the movie was playing that day.

By the time we actually showed up, this was what was on screen:

Butterfly effect

We stayed to watch it anyway. Honestly? My life hasn't been the same since. 😉

I was only about 7 or 8 years old at the time.

I’ve gotta say, this movie really caught my eye. It looks like a solid zombie flick, and I’m crossing my fingers it actually delivers. I’ve already watched the trailer twice—which honestly doesn't happen often with me. I am seriously looking forward to 👍
Scott Long71 said:Just finished watching rust and bone (De rouille et d'os). It’s wild how much it feels like a French version of True Romance.

I caught that moving Amour on Thursday, and honestly, this little festival seems like a blast.

It’s been a day and I’m still reeling from rust and bone. That doesn't happen to me very often.

Come on, give us some thoughts on "rust," please.

I had my tickets booked for last Saturday, but I couldn't make it. I'm beyond pissed about it. 😢

Thanks—I’ve actually had a few people suggest Daruvarsky too. Now I just have to pick one.

Hey there!

Hopefully I'm in the right spot, but I could use some advice on where to go for a spa retreat. We’re looking at rehab for an elderly person dealing with a whiplash injury. What kind of places actually work for stuff like this? Ideally, we want something that won't break the bank and isn't a massive trek from Chicago.
Thanks
Training Day (2010) in Movies ·
I felt like the second movie was more about the political backdrop, whereas the first one felt more like a raw, street-level action flick.
That’s why I preferred the first one. Honestly, I felt like something was missing from the Nascent character in the sequel—like, where was the female perspective? Or just some actual emotion? Why on earth did he have to be so damn alone throughout the whole thing?
The Hangover Part II in Movies ·
What a total disaster... honestly, the only decent part was Mr. Chow. I mean, why even cast Paul Giamatti? It was just two hours of my life I'll never get back.
What's the best David Fincher movie? in Movies ·
Fight Club - no matter how many times I sit through this one, I always end up spotting something new, something sharper, something better... and don't even get me started on the acting and the script. It just keeps getting better with age...

I honestly can't wait to see Wagner Moura back on screen. That performance in the first movie was absolutely insane—especially those raw, primal soldier screams he pulled off. Pure intensity. 😁
🙏 I couldn't agree more. Wagner absolutely crushes it!

Man, Wagner Moura😍
This is a total must-watch. I’m betting it hits just as hard as the first one.

I guess the only exception is when it's *The Godfather* 🤷... honestly, if I hadn't read the book first, half of this wouldn't have even made sense 🤷... my take? Kind of a letdown
.
It’s also a bummer they didn't include the actual ending from the book, or that part where Cornelia gets slapped again 🙏. That would've actually hit hard
.

I'm with you on this! The book was so intense and emotionally charged that I inhaled it in one sitting. But watching the movie? I was dying of boredom! The acting was so wooden and lifeless—honestly, what a complete waste of talent

Is there even a prayer that Bruno actually manages to FINISH a race for once? 🤣
I’m counting down the days🙂

Word on the street is there’s a massive twist waiting for you in the last 30 minutes! Seriously, everything builds up perfectly until you hit that total WTF moment... actually, it hits even harder because that WTF moment happens twice. If you've got a strong stomach, just go ahead and

Aaaaaaaaaaaaa 🤣
I’ve been just waiting for someone to finally kick off this thread!!! 🤷 This movie is total "One Sick Puppy" based on what I’ve been seeing over on the IMDb boards. Obviously, those threads are absolutely loaded with spoilers, so if you want to stay in the dark, just stop reading... but seriously, take my word for it: this flick is straight-up twisted. I honestly have no clue what A. Brody and S. Polley were even thinking with this one.

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Clooney, Depp, Demi Moore, Nicole Kidman, Clive Owen, Naomi Watts, Marisa Tomei, Ashley Judd—I’m not going to list every Hollywood star who hit forty and still carries themselves well. Some look better than others, sure. But I’d much rather watch Russell, whom you insist on calling a retiree, playing Robin Hood alongside the stunning Cate, than sit through the endless parade of twenty-somethings currently clogging up Hollywood. ☕
Besides, boundaries shift and years fly by. Fifty years isn't much, especially since you don't even hit retirement age until after sixty.

Fine—I was being a little sarcastic... It's not that I have anything against them in a modern flick where the chemistry would be explosive at sixteen, but here? They just don't work for me. Period.🤷
Russell is 46 and Cate is 41... sure, they're bringing a fresh perspective to the story and we've got a top-tier director at the helm, but what kind of Robin Hood are we actually getting here?? Is this just some movie made for retirees?☕

If you ask me, this movie is basically a tribute to Šupendar's style (PDF US)... and let's be honest, we all know there are plenty of them out there...😁
Up in the Air (2009) in Movies ·
The movie is decent enough, but let’s be real—it’s got zero chance at an Oscar.
When you put it up against a masterpiece like Juno, this flick doesn't even come close.
The cast definitely put in the work, and if you ask me, those are the only nominations actually worth mentioning; everything else was just filler.
By the way, it looks like Reitman built Anna Kendrick's character based on his own wife... poor guy.🤣
