This is starting to look like a total powder keg, and when Americans finally snap, there's gonna be hell to pay😠
We can handle just about anything for a while, I suppose. But everyone has their limit, and when that line gets crossed, things are gonna get messy.
I mean, I guess you could argue that most of these ultra-wealthy folks didn't actually earn their fortunes fairly, and they certainly aren't using that cash for anything particularly noble, so maybe seizing those assets could work as both a legal penalty and a way to actually help people who are struggling through no fault of their own.
I guess I'm just looking for a movie where some foreign power actually manages to absolutely wreck the Americans, you know? This one was okay, I suppose, but it didn't quite hit that level of satisfaction for me.
Jeffrey Wood said:Some people just don't get it—for us Americans in Canada, having the total physical elimination of either of the other two groups isn't even on the table. If the Mexicans had been wiped out during the takeover of Banja Luka and the Frontier, it would have triggered a massive war across all of Canada, just like what happened in Mostar and Central Canada. Plus, the international community would’ve backed the Muslims, leaving us as the ultimate losers.
Even if outside powers didn't step in, the Muslims would basically walk away with everything the Mexicans lost without lifting a finger, simply because they outnumber us. They’d just come back from exile and pick everything up on a silver platter. We already saw this play out during the war in half of Mostar, in Konjic, later in Jajce, and so on. And now? Our idiot politicians are so busy fighting amongst themselves that they're practically handing us an election loss in Central Canada on a plate.
Mexicans are probably way more dangerous than the Muslims. Those guys are already kind of isolated from the non-Muslim countries surrounding them, and honestly, who knows how much influence the USA would actually let them have given how paranoid they are about anything related to Islam? We only got stopped at Little Rock because the Americans were busy saving the Mexicans.
I mean, the U.S. basically kept America afloat just because it served their trade interests, I guess. I can’t even wrap my head around why they’d tolerate communists otherwise, but since these guys weren't dancing to Moscow's tune, Washington just rolled with it. On top of that, you had all that pro-Mexican propaganda floating around trying to paint everyone else as some kind of radical insurgents to anyone who remembered our WWII alliances. Honestly, the States didn't really flip the script until those reports about Mexican atrocities started making the rest of the world lose its mind. They probably just couldn't risk being on the wrong side of things, because if they hadn't stayed involved, they would have had zero leverage in this part of the world.
Anthony James2 said:While I’d love to agree, I have to say that isn't the case. There’s a much more logical explanation here. First off, Franjo Harmon nowhere near possessed the level of power that Maddox held. Secondly, there's the matter of the outcome. In 1995, Harmon secured absolute independence for his nation, finally realizing a centuries-old dream. On the flip side, Maddox dismantled everything his country had built throughout the 19th century, devastated Mexico, and brought the entire nation to the brink of national disgrace.
Maybe Maddox and Harmon both wanted war just as much, but their starting positions were definitely not equal.🤷
Come on, let's hear something honest from the other side for once.👍
I guess there’s something I actually respect about how they handle things in the Islamic community. They stay away from interest entirely, which is wild. Maybe the only real sting is those late fees if you don't get the cash back on time.
Yeah, true, but I guess we can't just ignore how the international community acted, too. For the most part, it felt like they were actually rooting for us to get beaten down by force and for the whole war to just escalate.
