AMD Ryzen 7 1400 ~ $492
AMD Ryzen 7 1500X ~ $548
AMD Ryzen 7 1600 ~ $624
AMD Ryzen 7 1600X ~ $719
Maybe they'll be about ten bucks more at local US retailers

I'm looking at stuff like Alien Isolation or Assassin's Creed Rogue... basically things from back in 2014 or 2015 since I'm sitting here with only 4 GB of RAM, so if I ever want to touch Grand Theft Auto V or Watch Dogs, I'm definitely gonna have to cough up some cash for more RAM.
At the end of the day, I really don't care if it looks amazing or anything, I just need to be able to actually launch them and play, even if everything is cranked down to the bare minimum settings.

James Harris34 said:So, I'm still debating a few things and could really use some advice. For the GPU, my top pick is the ATI Radeon RX 470, but I'm also looking at the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 Turbo 6GB or even the AMD Radeon RX 470 8GB, which are about $300-$400 more expensive. Is it actually worth dropping that extra $133 on them? As for the CPU, I'm leaning towards the Intel Core i5 6400, but I've got the i5 6600 at 3.5 GHz on my radar too—is it worth paying $133 more for that upgrade? My goal is to have a rig that can handle gaming on high-ultra settings at Full HD for at least the next 2 or 3 years, so please keep that in mind. Thanks!
wiredotter14 said:lol, what GPU manufacturers claim is about as reliable as a local weather forecast. My R7 260 x box recommended a 500W PSU, but that whole rig with an i3 pulls less than 200W.
It's a great power supply, but still a bit tight. It really needs over 400W just to have some breathing room.
Of course it isn't right, they messed something up. When I first posted the link, the price was totally normal.
That Antec is great, but it's over budget.
Here you go:

I'm at work right now, and my old man is home alone. He's a bit worried about how he'll know if everything arrived correctly—basically, how he'll tell if what shows up is actually what we paid for. 😁

I just tried booting it without any RAM installed. I get three rapid beeps, but there's no video or anything on the screen.
When the RAM is actually in the slot, I don't hear any beeping at all when I turn it on.

I don't think about 530 people would agree with you on that one. ^^
