I didn't find that even remotely relaxing. Look, I wasn't expecting some deep masterpiece or anything, just something lighthearted to laugh at, but instead, I got pure grotesque garbage. It’s just proof of how mindless and numb people have become—zero empathy and absolutely no clue what actual humor even means anymore. Because for me, this movie was anything but funny.
ORIGINAL TITLE: Four Christmases DIRECTOR: Seth Gordon CAST: Reese Witherspoon, Vince Vaughn, Robert Duvall MOVIE CONTENT: It follows a young couple dealing with their divorced parents and new step-families.
I honestly can't believe nobody started a thread about this Christmas flick 😲 I went through the forums alphabetically—nothing! Just empty hands.
It’s watchable. Fun. Actually funny. 👍👍
I read some rumors that the leads—you know, Jennifer Aniston’s guy and that girl from Smallville—barely finished filming this thing. Apparently, they were driving each other absolutely insane on set. There was even supposed to be a sex scene that got cut right at the start... The brothers in this movie? Easily the most obnoxious characters I've seen in any film all year. 😲
Too much drooling, vomiting, and brain surgery for my taste. Just gross. 😁
The movie starts off with promise—naked firefighters under a shower head.😁 I had no idea that 80 percent of people actually call firefighters when they have medical issues. Makes you think. 🤔
That last 20 minutes? Excellent. It’s horror exactly how it ought to be. No, I’m not going to discuss it; wouldn't want to spoil anything.

Everyone has a breaking point when it comes to how much crap they can take from their environment. Honestly, I think you’ve passed that $6.00 threshold where you can even hope for a solution if you keep thinking this way.
So, try doing this instead.
STEP 1: Go check on your physical health (usually just a blood test or checking for vitamin deficiencies).
Here's why: because you're living under constant, non-stop stress, you aren't just burning out your mind—you're absolutely wrecking your body. When your physical health is shot, you lose the ability to think straight or make mature decisions.
It's common knowledge that by November and December, we've completely burned through all those great vitamins we soaked up from the Phoenix over the summer.
Kudos on this post! It’s actually really nice reading the replies from you guys on this forum; you're being so encouraging.
I think I read somewhere in a local newspaper that there's an organization out there that offers free education and counseling for folks in Chicago regarding household finances. Does anyone know anything about that?
It’s great that we always have these little pockets of positivity here... but let’s be real. This stuff doesn't work in the real world. If it did, we wouldn't have these issues in the first place! Look, I don't trust the American healthcare system. Period. They're either incompetent or just lazy. Honestly, they probably just bought whatever certifications they needed to look legitimate. I wouldn't trust those butchers to dig up my backyard, let alone draw my blood. And then they claim they're even running tests?! What a joke. 🙄 People around here just copy-paste through the paperwork without a second thought. ☕
Look, my take on it was pretty simple: once you die, you end up in this mirror dimension where you’re just a ghost drifting through a world that’s a perfect, symmetrical flip side of reality. ☕ 😬
Here’s another one hitting the shelves alongside Dogville $3.25...
Just like Dogville, I figured based on the box description this was going to be a total snooze fest...
..but just like Dogville, it wasn't boring at all. They market it as some light comedy, but to me, it was incredibly heavy and sad. The lead comes across as this deeply lonely guy who just gets under everyone's skin because he's so stuck in his own head—a bit selfish, honestly. It was depressing to watch. His relationship with his nephew was heartbreaking too. At least, that's how it hit me—like when he just leaves the kid alone out on the street or that scene where he pulls him away from those girls and they end up brawling on the roof.
And that final scene in the school cafeteria where the kid sees his uncle walk in? That wasn't just sad; it actually brought a tear to my eye. 😁
The actresses are fantastic. I've always found Isabella really charming, especially lately seeing her in shows like Friends, and the actress from Flashdance is great too. Without them, this movie wouldn't have had that special touch. 😁 Bottom line: it's a solid, worthwhile watch. 🙂 👍
And looking at the themes in Dogville, I'll say it: our local directors here in the States—especially those coming out of these Eastern European regions—could never pull off a film like this. We don't have actors with that kind of soul, we don't have scripts this tight, and there's zero desire to just mash together gratuitous sex, vulgarity, and violence. This movie, much like Dogville, has all of that, but it doesn't shove it in your face. You have to be a master to pull that off.
This movie has scenes way more brutal than Hostel—an eyeball getting popped out from a hammer blow, someone biting a guy's tongue off and eating it, blood splattering right onto the lens... gross.
I'm not really into sci-fi or horror, so the movie wasn't exactly my cup of tea. But all things considered, it's watchable. It isn't nearly as bad as Hostel.
Honestly, I'm surprised Brooke Shields actually agreed to be in a flick like this. ☕
