The dramatic structure is completely disconnected, there's zero plot, it's impossible to follow, and it fails to land the intended emotional impact. It's a real shame for Steven Soderbergh; he really didn't need to go this far.
I honestly don't get what people are struggling to follow in this film... I sat in the theater today right after reading this thread, waiting for some convoluted twist that I wouldn't understand, but nothing happened... it wasn't disjointed at all... I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

It’s strictly checking the doors and the gas tank.🙂 I check the gas whenever I'm heading out on a trip—usually once I've already settled into the driver's seat—and I double-check my office door after I've left the building, typically doing that little two or three times just to be absolutely certain.🙂
For me, it isn't just about road trips. I check the gas even if I'm just driving ten minutes down the street to the local CVS.😁
When I first started this thread, I honestly thought you were struggling with the guilt of sneaking out to see guys. Boy, was I wrong. It turns out the issue is once again rooted in men. 😁
What can I even say? Aside from being incredibly relieved that I don't have to deal with people like that anymore. 😁
And let’s be real: if her friend messes up, yours will follow suit immediately.
Besides, I’m sure that friend is perfectly fine and nothing like how you're describing her.
