Where’d all those self-righteous types vanish to? (Let’s take a trip down memory lane). And that whole corrupt crew over on Potomac—it doesn't stop them from looting the treasury and screwing over the taxpayers while they cozy up to the SDSS. Honestly, that’s their bread and butter; they love it...
We really ought to start a whole separate thread just for that bunch of corrupt, cronyist bottom-feeders—that specific pack of vultures hanging out on Potomac.
Looking at this massive pile of hypocritical scum and political garbage, it just hit me, thinking about that criminal case and the ten-year legal circus we just went through.
Where’s that bearded, ultra-religious zealot hiding out in Palm Beach, always locking himself in those high-end churches and making threats with gas canisters? And where did all those "professional patriots" disappear to?
They filled their pockets and called it a day.
It’s enough to make you sick, honestly. Just a bunch of pathetic losers. We should be holding a full-blown federal tribunal for treason here, but instead, this whole thing is a joke.
Let’s not forget about the Bridge party—just a bunch of massive hypocrites and tiny little clerical bureaucrats who helped that criminal outfit seize power twice, only to get kicked to the curb by them both twice over.
The Bridge party is nothing more than an enemy and a terrorist organization, plain and simple. Just like that criminal group.
They’re honestly just a total nightmare. Pure horror.
Just making sure we don't lose track of who is actually helping this absolute trash pile of a criminal gang stay in charge of this whole religious-run circus.
Some people write symphonies or operas, while others just build skyscrapers with those hideous concrete Wi-Fi boxes that look like they’re broadcasting signals to Teletubbies. Then you’ve got the folks digging through tunnels under the Alps that cost $100 billion for no reason.
At the end of the day, everyone’s out here making something. Someone’s running a local bakery or a donut shop.
If you aren't doing any of that, you can always just make more kids, and then they go off and create stuff, and if they don't, they make more kids, and the cycle just keeps rolling.
It’s an endless loop.
Honestly, some advanced alien race probably engineered us all to begin with, so yeah—everyone’s just out here planting seeds or digging holes in their own little backyard.
The bottom line is this: the church, along with all those spineless sycophants and corporate shills, keeps backing that thieving pile of trash party that looted the country and gutted the people.
But hey, that’s just how this narrow-minded crowd works. You’ve always got a fresh batch of mindless voters and yes-men from the rural heartlands ready to officially back that criminal outfit, the Republican Party.
It’s the same old playbook: export the brains, import a bunch of crooked, thick-headed bureaucrats, hike up the taxes, and shake down the citizens. Shake them down twice for good measure, and you're golden—just toss some kickbacks to that greedy old church and let the government rule over whatever’s left of the broken remains.
Gerald Gomez43 said:I agree that this is important, but when you've spent years enduring psychological and verbal abuse while witnessing nothing but toxic human dynamics, pulling yourself out of the mud is a massive undertaking. Don't get me wrong, I know how much effort goes into it, but let's be honest: it's an uphill battle.
Just taking small steps every day. At the end of the day, being healthy is what counts.
That’s basically my playbook too, just different versions of what you laid out in post #13.
Honestly, I don't even bother analyzing it anymore. Maybe it's just written in the stars or something—that you're meant to be a loner, a bit eccentric, kind of torn up, and like you don't quite fit anywhere. You aren't alone in feeling this way, though; there are plenty of people in the same boat. It’s like this constant tug-of-war: you want to hang out, but then you don't; you want a relationship, but then you don't; you want to be happy, but then you don't; you want friends, but then you don't; you want to talk to someone, then you don't; you try to socialize, but then you just crash and burn, so you pull back again, and it just loops... I'm oversimplifying here because it's never actually that simple. It's just a cycle of "maybe, maybe not, maybe, nothing happens, then everything falls apart, then nothing, then something, then it all feels pointless." And doing any of that takes a ton of energy and willpower and stuff...
And so on...
Whatever, it's all garbage. I didn't explain that great, but whatever, doesn't matter...
Austin Baker4 said:Yes, I find myself fearing the weight of responsibility that comes with a committed relationship. It is a well-defined anxiety. Furthermore, there is this persistent dread that I might inadvertently cause harm to my partner.
Is this something that can actually be resolved? 🙂
That’s not something you "fix" because it isn't a disease. It’s just normal for an intelligent person to actually have empathy and respect for another living being, and to realize there are responsibilities involved when you make a choice like that.
It’s probably not what you think it is, either. Maybe you’re just feeling unfulfilled in some other area of your life and you're projecting that frustration onto the idea of a relationship—only you can figure out if that's the case.
Besides, if someone doesn't want to deal with you for whatever reason, well, nobody has any patience left in this world these days. So don't go tripping yourself up thinking you're "broken"...
Just look inward, have an honest conversation with yourself, and leave it at that.
Love yourself; you don't need anyone else to do it for you. If it rains, grab an umbrella, go for a walk, spin it around, and sing. There's your therapy. If you catch my drift.

In this life, it feels like we’re all just unique snowflakes looking for some kind of symbiotic match—someone who looks exactly like what we see in the mirror. But usually, when you're high or just being an asshole while trying to calculate if someone is actually compatible, you end up chasing someone who is the complete opposite of yourself. It’s tough...
Solid analytical and literary skills here. I dig it.
Dana Davis5 said:I actually went through the exact same thing, and I've been trying out that same "fix" you mentioned... but I have to admit, I'm not totally happy with it. There's gotta be some kind of balance somewhere, right?
You've gotta play it smart and stay cautious. But honestly? I can't do the whole calculating thing. It's just not me. I follow my gut, play fair, and act right. That's who I am, and I'll die that way—just maybe a little more careful than before.
graniteseal50 said:Do you ever find yourself idealizing strangers you pass on the street, at work, or even just grabbing coffee? I mean, specifically those people you think you could actually fall for if things were different. Maybe it's just me, I guess.
I guess I do this all the time. I see someone attractive and immediately start building this whole perfect version of them in my head—their looks, their personality, everything. It’s totally irrational since I haven't even talked to them yet. Then, by some weird twist of fate, we actually meet. But the more we talk, the faster that fantasy falls apart. Once the real person shows up, the spark just dies. I end up losing interest so fast I can't even care about the physical stuff that caught my eye in the first place.
I didn't want to dump this on Facebook, so I figured I'd post it here instead... just curious to see what psychology says about it? :P
I used to be like that. I’d idealize everyone, open up way too fast, love hard, stay honest, and never play any games. Nowadays, I'm smarter about it, but also lonelier. That’s just the price you pay for being careful. Unfortunately, that's just how it goes. Maybe I'll change one day...
Can we please just strip Drew Ross2 of her volunteer mod status? She has absolutely zero clue what she’s doing. It’s honestly infuriating how she aggressively hands out bans and nukes posts for basically nothing. It’s becoming a pattern—just constant, selective nonsense—which is exactly why I’m speaking up here.
If you dare point out that a thread is being trolled—which it totally is—you get slapped with a strike. Meanwhile, I’ve never had an issue before because I actually know how to act and follow the rules, but this terrible, irritating moderator hits me with a penalty the second I show up. Even though I barely post, she just dumps her personal frustrations on everyone, handing out punishments without any logic or purpose other than to drive people away.
Long story short, since I'm wasting my time even typing this: if anyone is actually reading this, get rid of her. Her aggressive, overbearing, almost cult-like "moderation" is pushing away all the regular users who have been here forever just trying to read and chat...
Also, if there's some rule about responding to appeals, I’m asking her not to reply to me. We don't have anything to discuss, and I have no interest in debating her.
Bottom line: she’s a nightmare moderator. Probably one of the most brainless attempts at moderation—if you can even call it that—I’ve ever seen on this site. Zero tact, zero class, and zero common sense.
The fact that I even have to lower myself to posting in the appeals section is already bad enough.
Of course there’s hope. If there wasn't, you wouldn't even be breathing right now.
You’re out here mourning someone who basically walked away without a second thought, just letting it all go. You need to wake up for your own sake. She dumped you because you didn't hit her benchmarks—money, stuff, the lifestyle she wants. You don't fit her vibe because you can't provide what she’s used to... It's brutal... And then she moves on to someone else? Seriously? Look, please, do yourself a favor: stop grieving over someone like that and get your life together.
Gambling, drinking, rotting in bed all day... what kind of outcome were you actually expecting from those choices? Kick the addictions and the weakness. Get to the gym, get busy, set some goals, make a plan—any plan. Even if it fails, at least you tried. Give it everything you've got. You matter to yourself now; whether you mattered to her doesn't mean a damn thing anymore.
The first step isn't even your problem anymore; the second one is.
Carl Rivera43 said:Well, even with that logic, I think I might still be struggling. I still feel this lingering sort of resentment toward certain people (even though most of them aren't even in my life anymore).
I just really want to learn how to shift my focus back to the present moment.
Well, being "half-frozen" beats pure, unadulterated hatred any day. That’s progress right there. Real talk: you're the one cooking up that hate in your own head. So, every time you start feeling that bitterness rising, give yourself a reality check. Remind yourself not to go there. Make a deal with yourself to cut it out. Instead of feeding the grudge, try picking calm, understanding, or just letting it go.
And hey, if someone’s actually riding your back or harassing you for no reason? We'll just go handle them so they stop bothering you—not because we're hateful, but out of love for our own peace.
You could also just turn yourself into a powerhouse—built, trained, and brimming with confidence. Once you're like that, nobody’s gonna dare mess with you, and you won't even have the urge to hate anyone.
Bottom line: you gotta master yourself. We all stumble and act weak sometimes. Just brush the dust off and keep moving. Learn from the screw-ups. Aim to be stronger overall, keep that warrior spirit alive, but keep your heart steady, and you won't need to carry hate around. Hate is ultimately just weakness. True strength is love, mental and physical grit, staying power, sacrifice, mercy, empathy, and forgiveness.
Hatred doesn't mean much if you just look at it as some isolated variable. That said, denying how intense and real that emotion can be wouldn't be honest, fair, or even right.
There’s such a thing as constructive "righteous anger"—kind of like that whole concept of the righteous warrior you see popping up in certain religious texts—but I don't think that's what you're getting at here...
Lisa Green522 said:So, basically, what’s the move when life throws you a curveball? Like, how do you actually deal with being caught totally off guard? It's a bit of a struggle for me because—let's be honest—I am definitely not an expert at staying cool under pressure. If I have plenty of time to prep, sure, I can pull it together and look okay, but if something just hits me out of nowhere? Man, a little bit of panic starts creeping in, my hands get all shaky, and then I’m left feeling like I didn't exactly wow the person sitting across from me. I'm talking about work stuff. I recently got this sudden call for an interview—just out of the blue—and even though I think I did a decent job highlighting my skills, I’m pretty sure they clocked my nerves the second I walked through the door. My hands were shaking, no lie. And yeah, I'll admit it, I maybe took things a bit too lightly and wasn't as prepared as I should've been. But what happens when I'm actually on the job and something unexpected pops up? How do you handle that? It feels like I have this set path I walk where I feel totally confident, but the moment I have to take a sudden detour down a different street, I'm completely lost. I know, I know—it's basically just my anxiety acting up—but if anyone has some real-world experience or a way to fix this, please, hit me up! Seriously, I'm just not built for getting blindsided by stuff that comes out of nowhere. I really want to learn how to master the whole "expect the unexpected" thing.
Honestly, it just comes down to experience and having the right backbone.
