Kenneth Jackson16 said:I was wondering how exactly one goes about transferring funds via online banking from a Chase checking account over to my own Intel high-yield savings account?

Are we talking about the standard savings or a foreign currency account?

Definitely don't use a foreign currency account for this. If you're moving it to your regular savings, just enter the account number starting with those digits, and the rest should follow the pattern. For the memo field, just put whatever you like—you could repeat part of the account number or just put today's date, it really doesn't matter much.🙂
Avoid State Farm at all costs!!! in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
I didn't really have any specific demands or anything, so I'm pretty happy with how things have gone so far.

I needed to get some windshield wipers replaced and also had to swap out the windshield because a stray pebble left a little chip in it, but the whole process was seamless. I stopped by their office, filled out the paperwork explaining what happened, the guy there took a few quick photos, and then I just headed over to the repair shop where they installed the new glass, and that was really it.👍

Jason Cook2 said:I’m posting here because I honestly feel like an idiot already. I just spent ten minutes with a woman at a Chase branch, and I still don't get any of this. I have the Maestro and the Visa
Intel (both credit and debit), and while the foreign currency debit card makes sense—I can load whatever amount of cash I want onto it for when I'm traveling—this credit card situation is driving me crazy. I need to book flights online, and the teller was trying to convince me that I can't go into a negative balance with it, but she also said I can't just pre-load a specific amount onto it either. So what am I supposed to do? If I give Wizz Air my card details, how does the bill actually get settled? Does it send a statement to my house later, or do I absolutely need to have the funds sitting in my account beforehand? To be honest, the idea of handing over card numbers for an account that allows me to go into debt, even with a tiny limit, is completely unappealing to me.
Is there actually an option with any bank out there where I can pay for things online using a card that I personally control? I want a card where I decide exactly how much money goes on it, ensuring nobody can mess with my finances online as long as I keep the balance at zero, unless I specifically choose to add more.

If you look into Chase, whether it's a standard checking account or a foreign currency account, you can get an Intel card for either. You won't be able to overdraw, so it's pretty secure—it just comes down to whether you want to deposit US dollars or a different currency, so pick whichever fits your needs better. With the standard checking, there aren't even monthly maintenance fees, whereas the foreign currency one might have a small fee twice a year, maybe around $4 each.
Paying bills online in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Chloe Wood10 said:Hi there! This is my first time handling payments online, so I’ve got a few questions to clear things up.

I'm paying the utility bills for my rental, but they're all addressed to the landlord. Can I just pay them directly from my checking account using my own name? Or should I change the "payer" field to match the landlord's name instead?
http://img830.imageshack.us/img830/6867/55442152.gif

Second—where exactly do I enter the payment description code (it says "16" on all my bills)?

And third, regarding the utilities specifically: what counts as actual proof that I've settled the bill?

Make sure you enter the name of the account holder in the payer field.

Forget about that 16-digit code; it isn't the same thing as the model number, and honestly, it doesn't really matter because you won't be needing to enter it anywhere anyway.

If you need to grab a confirmation for your payment, just look for an option like "view paid orders" or something similar in your account settings. From there, you should see a way to download a PDF receipt, which you can then just open up and print out.
There’s also an option to have the bank mail certain certifications directly to you, though you should keep in mind they’ll charge you a fee for that service.
Kidney issues - questions and concerns... in Health ·
My sister-in-law actually only has one kidney, and she didn't even realize it until she was about 30 years old—she was simply born that way. She lived her whole life just fine before finding out, and honestly, nothing has changed for her now that she knows she's working with just one.

It’s such a small town, really; even with the tiniest little schemes, word travels fast and everyone ends up finding out.

But what about your conscience?

At the end of the day, the person who did the cheating is the one who has to live with it.

Where did things go wrong on my end? I sent a private message to request the change on the 15th, and then again on the 21st after noticing nothing had happened yet.

😕

It was probably because of that ":)" smiley at the end of your username. It’s been updated now, but if you run into any glitches because of it, we might have to switch your handle back to the old one.

fadedrider17 said:Hey, I need some clarity here—why am I still being hit with a $0.60 charge on my account every single month? Look, I signed up for this new digital service thing (if I understood the fine print correctly)—JP Morgan Chase Net or whatever they’re calling it—but I ended up CANCELING it almost immediately because I have zero interest in messing around with card readers and all that extra tech nonsense. Despite that, they are still pulling these small amounts from my account. It’s incredibly irritating.

I can still access the service just like before via: JP Morgan Chase365-Lite

The transaction description literally says "MONTHLY SERVICE FEE FOR JP MORGAN CHASE365=$0.60"
And this is despite the fact that I terminated my agreement with JP Morgan Chase regarding all that tracking garbage.

Membership fees are typically processed on the last day of the month, so if you canceled back in July, you would likely see one final charge on July 31st. That's probably what's happening here. 😉

I suspect this thread will be locked up tight before too long 😂

In that case, maybe I should just start a new thread: if I have more kids down the road, will they be girls or boys???
Could you give me a breakdown of the test? Just keep it as simple as possible.
Quick question about credit cards in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Steven Reed said:Just some first-hand intel—H&M in Denver won't touch an American Express. They’re strictly Visa or Maestro here—I nearly made a total fool of myself 🙈

Wait, how does that work? I know Gap takes it back home in the States, shouldn't their policy be the same everywhere instead of changing from one city to the next? 🤷
You can't afford to miss even the smallest detail. As long as every single piece is accounted for, the whole set holds its value.
