Favorite Comedians? in Movies ·
No. Just no. Stand-up comedians are one thing, but Sacha Baron Cohen is an actor—and a damn good one at that. People get so hung up on him being Ali G that they completely miss the point when he does Borat (especially here in the States) or Bruno. If you haven't seen his work, you clearly don't get what I'm talking about. He’s running the best hidden camera act in history.

They were speaking English, just later on!
At first, they were just swapping this unintelligible gibberish that sounds nothing like our voices.

Watch it again.
😉

👋

Look, they were speaking English! Everything before that was just some binary code that only robots would understand. 😁

Oh yeah, just remembered. That teddy bear is easily the best character in the entire movie. Honestly, I don't get why anyone calls him some "child's toy" instead of a high-tech Mecha like the kid thinks. The bear just has slightly bigger ears and some fur...

Why on earth would aliens—and you know I don't believe they even exist out there in space—have two arms, two legs, a head, and speak English? It makes way more sense if we're talking about robots (even though my first thought wasn't that they were machines). 😁

Look, man, I'm telling you again—those guys are definitely NOT aliens.
Sophia Brown78 said:Honestly, those commercials drive me insane. But look, Regal Cinemas is my go-to. They have the most comfortable seats, actual cup holders, and it’s pretty close to where I live. The sound system is killer, and I can just grab tickets online without any hassle. That’s why I pick them over everyone else. They offer more comfort than the other theaters, so if I have to pay a little extra for that, whatever.

Exactly. It feels like whenever people try to nitpick Regal Cinemas, they end up listing the exact things that make other theaters worse. That online booking thing is also a massive win for them.

You can't have your cake and eat it too. Once they build you a fancy cinema with those plush seats, expect to get robbed.

I just went down a rabbit hole watching his stuff that we never even got shown here in the States, and honestly, there’s no debate: Sacha Baron Cohen is the best comedian working today. If you haven't heard of him, just Google it. None of the guys on this list can even be mentioned in the same breath as him.
Richard Howard2 said:Don't forget you're paying for the $12 cinema ticket, which is just one standard ticket plus paying for parking twice. 😉

Yeah, but I've been to Broadway enough times to know you end up spending double what you planned just trying to find a spot. Sure, they claw some of that money back when you buy tickets and popcorn, but movie tickets aren't cheap anywhere else either—at least not in Washington, D.C.
I don't mind commercials; they actually help me since I'm always running behind, and I've got nothing against spoilers. But those AT&T ads? Yeah, I agree, they're totally unnecessary and just annoying. Honestly, I usually end up at Regal Cinemas anyway because they have free parking, which is a huge plus for me when I'm driving.
Douglas Phillips4 said:It's one of the few solid parodies out there. No overthinking it, no unnecessary fluff. 😎

Exactly. And what I dig about it is how it actually sticks to its guns. Unlike most other spoofs, it doesn't just jump all over the place. It stays focused on being a parody of Black culture and that specific lifestyle. Most other movies just bounce from one random joke to another—even something like Naked Gun does that.
Look, I don't know about you, but I think this is one of the best parodies out there. It's way better than those forced Cult classic films. As a standalone movie? It’s total nonsense, but that's literally what parodies are for. My favorite part has to be when that Toothpick guy is at the party and starts sliding silverware under the table because he's still stuck in that prison mindset. 😁
Does "artistic freedom" even exist? in Movies ·
I don't buy the idea that money is what drives someone to work hard, regardless of the field—whether it's art, film, sports, or whatever else you want to call it. If you hand someone $40 million and tell them to make something brilliant, all you're going to get is some mediocre mess. If a person isn't hungry for creativity, all the cash in the world won't inspire them to create a masterpiece. But you can absolutely do the opposite. That’s how everyone becomes famous anyway. They prove themselves while they're young and broke.
All-Time Best XI in Soccer ·
Goalkeeper:
-Lev Yashin

Defense:
-Franco Baresi
-Berti Vogts (he’d just break their legs)
-Marcel Desailly
-Paolo Maldini

Midfield:
-Johan Cruyff
-Franz Beckenbauer
-Roberto Baggio
-Diego Maradona

Attack:
-Gerd Müller
-Michel Platini (yeah, I'm putting him up front because the guy knows how to score)

Here is how that looks:
------------------------------Lev Yashin

Vogts-------------Baresi----------Desailly---------------Maldini

-----------------Cruyff---------------Beckenbauer

----------------Baggio--------------Maradona

------------------Platini

--------------------------------Muller

I once sent a pretty damn arrogant email to that clown Ozmec, just tearing into them because they weren't showing live scores or game times—stuff every decent TV network in the world handles without breaking a sweat. His response was just as smug, which shouldn't be the case since he’s a public figure who actually owes viewers an answer. He claimed their "equipment is being prepared." What equipment? It takes two clicks of a mouse to fix that!

Sean Lee7 said:It’d be killer if they just translated this into English. You’re always stuck waiting on FIFA just to get something in the Latin alphabet. Whatever though, I’m not complaining...

The patch usually drops in a week or two anyway. That part's an easy fix. 😁>

My biggest gripe with this new installment is how easy it is to score just by lobbing the ball. Honestly, I can't even argue with that. Hopefully, they actually fix it in FIFA 2008. I’ve always felt those final Japanese releases are the gold standard—they smooth out the stuttering, patch all the bugs, and everything just works perfectly.

Look, what kind of game would that even be if the CPU couldn't actually score? There are so many plays where they can't do a single thing to me. It's just...😁

Just saw a new update in the FIFA shop: they’ve bumped the CPU difficulty up to 6 stars. Honestly, I already struggle enough just trying to beat a Frenchman on 5-star mode, so I can only imagine how much of a nightmare this is going to be. 😁
