Any real fans of this masterpiece hanging out here? I’ve been playing since FIFA 2001 on my old console, so I’ve got about five years of experience under my belt. Just picked up FIFA 2005 a few days ago and honestly, I’m pleasantly surprised. There’s plenty of new stuff, but it doesn't feel like a massive departure from FIFA 2007 either. Once the initial shock of the new graphics wears off, it's going to be all about deep gameplay and serious tactics.
P.S.: Is it just me, or did this game actually get a hell of a lot harder than the previous ones?
I don't get why everyone is losing their minds over that AC Milan vs. FC Barcelona game. Sure, it was a good match, but it wasn't nearly the legendary epic the headlines are making it out to be. AC Milan deserved the win based on that one goal, but let’s be real—neither side played particularly spectacular football.
From what I know, both are sidelined with injuries and didn't play. The goals came from Dejan Stanković, Christian Vieri, Meyde, Adriano, and Diego Milito.
Neither Juventus nor Bayern Munich showed much in terms of actual football. Juventus isn't exactly shining right now, and Bayern is a long way from their glory days too. But you have to admit, the intensity and fighting spirit are top-tier. Milan-Barcelona should be a much better matchup, especially if we see an early goal.

Those tournaments are basically irrelevant compared to the National Championship and the club season...
Go talk to any player at any club, big or small, and ask them that same question. They’ll laugh right in your face. The World Cup is marginal? Who actually takes you seriously? You're getting ignored. Bye. 👋
I’m not the one being petty here. I said YOU don't give the European Championship or the World Cup any respect just because your favorite player isn't on the pitch. And yeah, obviously, the answer is Ryan Giggs. Did you actually doubt me? You've also got George Weah, Jari Litmanen, and plenty of others. Then there's that massive pile of Brazilians who couldn't even make the cut for their national team.
If they're going to keep ripping off the Italians, where are the hot dancers and the hosts? My old lady and my sister both know all about that Zrnićka woman, so she’s already getting on my nerves, especially with her acting like she's so smart.
Look, you become a legend at the World Cup or the European Championship, especially the World Cup. Just because your favorite player never even showed up on that stage isn't an excuse to act like an expert now. Diego Maradona and Pelé would never have been "Diego Maradona" and "Pelé" if they had only won domestic titles or some random cups.
This isn't a good move. Honestly, four hours of soccer in one night—especially if you're also trying to catch that other match on PBS+—is just overkill. Plus, the whole thing is a mess to watch. Five was a much better setup, but it looks like they lost the battle against prime-time TV shows on Monday night.
At least I still have Eurogoal on ESPN on Monday nights. They've got two different kickoff times and a mountain of replays to go through.

Hmm, why’s that? As far as I know, those are the biggest tournaments out there. You think the Champions League matters more? Is this just some capitalist competition closed off to the poor? Only open to the rich who get their slice of the pie once they step outside those "heavenly borders"?
Why call him a LOLčina? The guy bagged 9 goals in the World Cup qualifiers, and they’ve barely even played a handful of matches. He was the top scorer in La Liga too. You can't just judge a player based on one tiny slice of the season; you have to look at the whole picture.
As for Totti's spitting incident, that doesn't mean we just wipe away all the incredible football he put on display throughout the entire season, especially during those first three months of the year.
Thierry Henry and especially Andriy Shevchenko had an absolute blast at the European Championship...
In the States, everyone just calls him "The Rock." It’s like how everybody knows Terry Hogan simply as "Hulk Hogan." Or how they know Madonna as Madonna (I honestly don't even know her real name). 😁
His name isn't The Rock. It's Dwayne something or other, and he used to be a total beast in the WWF. Back when I was living in the States a few years ago—not that I had much else going on, honestly, life was pretty dull then—I actually followed his career 😁. Producers love to use wrestling stars to reel people in, and he was the perfect bait for the crowd. After sitting through a few of his flicks, I’d say he’s one of the rare guys actually tapping into that Arnie humor vibe, mixing massive muscles with actual jokes. 😁 👍
