I haven't seen the original yet... and as for this remake, I honestly don't even know what to say. It isn't really a horror, nor is it quite a thriller either. Pretty much the only thing worth watching in this movie is Jessica 👍 😁
I have to agree, Peter really let me down by not playing Bad Meets Evil or Out of Space... and I definitely felt they leaned too heavily on just a few tracks. There were moments where they were absolutely phenomenal, but then two minutes later, I'd find myself wondering what on earth I was doing standing there in the mud.🤷 Aside from them, the only other act I saw was The Chemical Brothers, and they actually weren't bad at all... if anything, they were a pleasant surprise, whereas The Prodigy left me feeling a bit disappointed...
Hey everyone... I just scored a ticket to a festival... the problem is, none of my friends are interested, and I honestly feel weird about just selling it online. So, I figured I'd check here with some familiar 😁 folks to see if anyone wants to join me.
Alright, since you guys have to deal with me anyway... let's get to know 😁
Look, there has to be some underlying reason why you aren't being well-received. We should probably identify those causes first before we can move forward with anything else...
That guy Tuljo pops up in the movie... I didn't quite catch his vibe. I remember him from way back in the day too... I'll definitely have to give it a watch.
I don't want to be nitpicky, but even the legendary Roman Empire (my all-time favorite series) is full of historical inaccuracies... though, on the flip side, they really did put effort into the big details, so I have to give them credit. Gladiator 😂 — look, it's just a movie. It isn't bad, but its connection to actual history is about as strong as my late grandmother's understanding of computers 😁... does that take away from the experience? For some people, sure, but not for me. When I actually want to know how things truly happened, I’ll watch a documentary or pick up a book 👍; movies are primarily meant for entertainment, nothing more.
And honestly... I couldn't care less what someone who has zero interest in history thinks about Commodus or the Roman Empire after watching Gladiator... it doesn't matter.
Laura Palmer25 said:Honestly, I actually thought 300 was one of the best films I've seen all year, regardless of what those IMDb ratings say (which often lack any actual common sense). I liked it mostly because of how original the adaptation felt and how well it captured that graphic novel vibe. Action isn't really my thing anyway, so I don't care much for that genre.
Personally, I think 300 is one of the worst movies ever made... honestly, screw 300.😬
Some guys just can't navigate their way out of a paper bag. 🤣
A little slice of life.
Something that happened in Prague. To give you a better visual idea of what I mean...
We were at some party on the outskirts of town—let's say somewhere like Cleveland. We needed to get back to our hotel, which was all the way on the other side of the city, maybe near Times Square. As the group leader, I managed to lead the whole crew in the completely wrong direction, and we ended up way out in the middle of nowhere, like New Chicago—it couldn't have been any more off-track if we tried. 🤣
He’s the protagonist for the entire story, yet he’s barely on screen. He spent most of his existence in terrible conditions—stuck underwater or rotting in a cave. Everyone is constantly fighting over him, yet he remains elusive. For an entire cinematic era, he’s just hiding in some Hobbit's hair, only to end up meeting a miserable death in a fire. that's what i call a tragedy! 🙂
No offense intended, but anyone 😁 who actually enjoys that movie is an idiot. 😬 You’re trying to lecture a Sci-Fi moderator on 😉
about a genre like that? So, you actually liked it? Just tell me one thing about it that's worth liking. Is there anything even remotely noteworthy in that film? A single scene worth remembering?
"Disaster" doesn't even begin to cover it. After sitting through this, you have to wonder if the director, writer, and producers have any grasp of filmmaking or the industry at large—because this movie is strictly a money pit. Or maybe they just lack basic competence entirely.
The core premise isn't groundbreaking, but it certainly had the potential to be an engaging, well-paced watch. Instead, they delivered a tedious, mindless slog that feels like an insult to the audience's intelligence.
It’s billed as an action movie with almost zero action. It attempts horror, but the "scariest" moments feel like something out of a cartoon. As for the romance, it’s a sugary, shallow subplot that might only appeal to someone looking for mindless fluff.
Honestly, there's no point in dwelling on it further. Avoid this at all costs.
One-sentence summary: Nothing happens in the first hour, and absolutely nothing happens in the second. 🙂
I honestly don't think people get it... the whole point is to have fun and gain life experience, which helps shift your perspective on things that might otherwise seem terrible. I really wonder what kind of social lives those who claim "living life to the fullest" isn't necessary actually lead—especially since they've never experienced what happened to a certain relative of mine... The guy graduated with an architecture degree at 23, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. He didn't even have his diploma in hand before landing a job in his field, and he's become quite a big shot in his profession. But there's a catch... he's currently juggling three different banks, rarely goes out, and has almost no friends. Last summer was the first time he ever went on a beach trip with a group of people (before that, it was just him and his parents), and he spends every New Year's Eve at home. I mean, credit where credit is due regarding his professional success and career 👍 but in every other aspect of life, he's a total wreck. He’s a somewhat extreme example, sure, but there are plenty of others who are slightly less intense yet still, well, "unbalanced"—no offense intended to anyone.
