I’m with Nicole James on this one... You don't really learn to value non-violence or peaceful conflict resolution until you've taken a hard hit 😁, and then you finally learn to steer clear of unnecessary drama and street fights. It’s the same with everything else: you don't appreciate love or a steady relationship until you've spent your life chasing every cheap thrill, you don't realize how good a cold glass of water feels until you stumble home at 10 AM completely wasted 😁, and you don't grasp that a "crime" 🤣 (though I wouldn't call anything I did back in my wilder days a 😂 crime) isn't worth it until you're spending the morning in a precinct... and so on.
Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but that's pretty much how it goes.
I believe everyone needs to go through a specific phase of "living life" or let's call it a "life lessons" period, because you learn so many vital things through different interactions and experiences. To hell with the guy who’s never stumbled home at 10 AM completely wasted, never gotten into a scrap, never spent a night sleeping on a rooftop in Chicago 😁, or never had a quick hookup with someone without even knowing their name...
This might sound pointless or unnecessary to some, but I don't think it is...
Be careful that you don't end up in a situation—which happens to more people than you'd think—where you hit 30 and suddenly feel the need to go out and do all the things everyone else already experienced between the ages of 17 and 25.
I honestly don't get all the hype surrounding the first film. Sure, the cast is solid, the special effects look good, and there are a few iconic moments, but that's about it. As far as action sequences go, they’re pretty middle-of-the-road... nothing extraordinary.
And if the sequel is even worse than the original... then I don't see much point in heading to the theater.
Does anyone remember the name of that trashy horror movie from the mid-eighties? It features these creatures—part fish, part swamp monster, some kind of grotesque 😁 thing—emerging from the ocean to assault women. They always seem to pick the absolute best soundtracks 😁
The resident moralists are probably going to come for me, but honestly, I don't care.
I feel zero sympathy for gang members—actually, I couldn't care less about them. I can only look at them with contempt. Anyone who dives into that lifestyle knows exactly what they're getting into and where it leads. I’m not interested in hearing all those excuses about "problems" or circumstances that supposedly pushed them toward that path... as if everyone else doesn't deal with much worse issues without choosing to throw their lives away. I know a few former gang members personally, and believe me, they ended up that way simply because they were bored out of their minds... and both 😁 guys I actually knew came from stable, middle-class families. Their parents weren't alcoholics, their homes weren't abusive, and they weren't neglected growing up. Yet, they still chose that life. It's pure stupidity.
If it were up to me, I’d round them all up and lock them away... let them sober up and get their heads straight without any drugs involved. Once they're ready, I'd release them, but with one condition: they’d be subject to mandatory testing for the next year. If we find even a trace of heroin in their blood—it's game over.

I start laughing the second I see it and I'm cracking up until the very end. 🤣 🤣 I just can't take it seriously, I really can't... So most guys won't let me watch it with them. They get annoyed because I'm making fun of it. 😂 😂
That's true... Conan the Barbarian is 🙏 and 👍 for me... but rarely does a woman actually enjoy it, or even tolerate it.
If I find a beautiful woman who loves Conan the Barbarian, I'll marry her. 😬 Everything else is just superficial beauty. 🤣
Joshua Bennett4 said:Alright, fine, Conan the Barbarian really is a movie made for men. Honestly, I start laughing the second it comes on, and I’m practically rolling on the floor until the credits roll. 🤣 🤣 I just can't take him seriously, honestly. I really can't. It seems like most of the guys don't want me watching movies with them. They get annoyed when I make jokes about it. 😂 😂
That's true... Conan is mine. 🙏 i 👍 Movies like this... it's rare to find a woman who actually enjoys them, let alone tolerates them.
If I ever find a beautiful woman who loves Conan the Barbarian, I’m proposing on the spot. 😬 Everything else is just empty beauty. 🤣
Inkvizitor said:...and uhhh, they're all against pop, rap, techno, and all that other garbage... art...
Now I’m just waiting for you to dig up some obscure bands that maybe 598 people on the entire planet have ever heard of—including their friends, acquaintances, and relatives—just so you can claim we're all losers who don't recognize true value and art.🤣
By the way, a hallmark of narrow-minded people😉 is judging an entire musical genre as a whole... There is no such thing as "music" being good or bad... there are only songs that are good or aren't...
No matter how much you might dislike electronic music, any open-minded listener😁 can find incredible "art" within it, featuring artists who will hold a legacy similar to The Doors in 20 or 30 years.
Maybe try listening to something by 2Pac first... then come back and talk to me again...
Synod said:I'm actually not against folk music at all; in fact, I support it. Low-cost entertainment has to exist, otherwise a huge portion of the population—which is quite significant here in the States—has no outlet to vent. It lets them forget how difficult it is to live in a country where a monthly paycheck is only a fraction of what people earn abroad, even though prices are almost identical.
The local dive bar scene is the answer! 😁
The thing is... it isn't even cheap entertainment anymore. You might find it at some shady little bars, but in the more popular spots where this stuff plays, the prices are absolutely outrageous...
I suppose those who just want to be seen buying rounds have found the perfect stage for their vanity... 🤣
And it’s far from true that this is only listened to by people from rural areas or families with a tradition of this kind of music...
Take my friend, for example... a highly educated guy 😁. His parents are old-school urbanites... they grew up on Frank Sinatra, Ivica Šerfezi, Drago Diklić 😬 and so on... but him? He's all about that heavy bass and loud party tracks 😵
Case number two... a friend from my neighborhood... similar situation to the first one... he has a younger brother who has gone completely off the deep end with this stuff over the last two or three years...

Once again, the most frustrated and agitated person on the forum makes an appearance... If I were being blunt, I'd suggest you haven't had a date in at least five years.😛
"I glued my wallpaper with tears, you left and took the child with you"
"You were the image to my face, the tone to my heart, what does he have that I don't?"
"I'm married, you're wed, you're the mother, I'm the father—masters of our craft"
So, which ones???😕
Seriously, go get checked out...🙄 😁
Hey, don't just pick the most obvious examples...
If I were to find some three-chord punk songs with lyrics like, "Screw everyone, I've got a mess in my pants, I haven't washed in six months, even the neighbor's kids can smell me" 😁 And then claim that all punk is complete garbage...
I can't give you a definitive list right now because I don't listen to it, but I know there are songs that actually managed to surprise me... if I remember any, I'll let you know.😁
I know this isn't exactly the right topic for this subforum, and I don't really hang out in the music sections anyway because those places are full of a different kind of crowd 😬... There are plenty of different types of people here, so let's see what you all think about this...
I'm reading USA Today right now and saw a headline claiming some Taylor Swift is the new "queen of the Black Knights" 😵... apparently, 3,000 people packed her concert in Miami.
Man, it feels like you can't escape this pop-country trash anymore...
What is it about this style of entertainment that is so magnetic? It used to be that this stuff was just for certain low-lifes from the rough outskirts of town—guys in heavy chains. Mostly construction workers from Canada, Gypsies (without any disrespect intended toward any group), Jan residents, and so on.
But lately, it feels like absolutely everyone is into it... It’s almost impossible to go out to a club without someone cranking up some obnoxious, twangy anthem and having the whole room lose their minds. You hear garbage pop-country blasting from cars at every turn... I'll head down to a local neighborhood bar one evening and they're playing total trash. And I'm talking about kids, sixteen to nineteen years old... they all know every single lyric by heart...
It’s practically become normal to end up in an Asylum or a Pasha club around 4:00 or 4:30 in the morning...
Honestly... I would love for a fan of this music to explain it to us. Maybe I'm just slow, or maybe I just don't get it... What is so appealing about all of this? I've lost count of how many times I've heard, "If you want to hook up this weekend, just go to Pasha..." 😵
Look, I'm not dismissing it entirely. Every now and then, you find a song with decent lyrics or a good melody 😬 but at least 90% of it is just pure, unadulterated nonsense—low-class, mindless, and empty... 😢 The lyrics are so stupid they make your head spin... choruses that feel like they were written by someone with an IQ of 22. I have no idea where it comes from... a close friend of mine often hosts these drinking sessions at his place, and then around 2:00 AM... he starts playing this exact kind of music. 😢
