Elizabeth Smith6 said:I wouldn't want them there because people would actually die. Literally. Politicians would just let the Mexicans come to the game and us right alongside them—you know how it goes with those "stability pacts" and those "everything is just like last year" bullshit schemes... 🤮 . It wouldn't end well. There’d be blood spilled in border towns like Cleveland.

Look, I was talking about getting crushed in a sports sense, just so nobody gets the wrong idea.😁

As for the fans... I highly doubt it. It's way too much risk for both countries to go out there looking for trouble...
Visiting New York City or wherever is honestly easier for Americans than heading off to some other random country.🙂
Elizabeth Smith6 said:Who am I praying we dodge:

Pot 1 - Netherlands
Pot 3 - Nobody because they're too strong, maybe America just because... uh... yeah... 😁
Pot 4 - Ugh... Scotland, Canada, I don't want to see either of them coming our way
Pot 5 - Honestly, I wouldn't want to face almost anyone here, especially Albania—those guys are freaking annoying
Pot 6 - Not even touching the Moldovans, and definitely not the Mexicans
Pot 7 - As long as we don't run into Kazakhstan, I can deal with the rest

We are pretty much on the exact same page here (I was just too lazy to type it all out)😬

About Group 3😈 I actually wouldn't mind drawing the Mexicans...
Just so we can show them how it's done (if you can even prove anything to those guys at all)🤣

Alex Young7 said:It’s totally rigged, Mr. Ex!!! Just ask anyone who hangs out in the "Newcastle" threads if they actually want them there! I’d much rather have my own dedicated thread for my club where I can talk shop with people who actually care, instead of digging through some massive "Premier League" megathread just to hunt down a debate with fans of other teams!

Come on, you clown, Mr. Ex, give us our damn thread back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What, should we run a separate poll for every single thread?😕
The Majority already made their call, dammit...

And since when did we start trying to make everyone happy?🙄
Stoppage time drama in Soccer ·
We’ve been over this a thousand times already...

The bottom line is this: if they actually measured ball possession in minutes like they do in Italy, instead of using those stupid percentages just to make the stats look scary, 😲

we’d probably be looking at maybe 30 minutes of actual, real gameplay per match.🙄

But hey, Robbie says everything I just listed is already true, so whatever.

Nothing's happening. Period.
Not even rooting for anyone.
Not my cup of tea.

Look, if you think you know anything about their fan scene or how intense the hooligan culture gets over there, you don't know squat. Seriously. It’s a whole different beast.😍

I’m pretty sure the majority are ALREADY for scrapping it—like, we don't even need this thing—but I'll leave the poll up for a bit longer just so we can see what the damage is.🙂

Bottom line: if this whole thing turns into a total disaster (which, let's be real, it probably will), it's easy enough to just go back to how things were before.

And what am I supposed to do?😁 😁 😁
I'm Stavljati my own quotes now so I don't have to keep repeating the same damn thing over and over...

I’m gonna start doing this with football topics too, because it's always the same recycled garbage in here.

Joseph Parker4 said:Just let all those threads be. Seriously, just leave them alone. There are way too many teams out there to waste time debating every single one in one 😁

I'm not touching them.
I only started this poll because people wouldn't stop arguing about it over on the MLS boards.

Mr.Ex.President said:Look, I'm trying to settle this once and for all—I'm putting up a poll so it doesn't look like I'm running some kind of dictatorship here...

It's not too much.
Mr.Ex.President said:90% of the threads are just about the Kansas City Chiefs, the Los Angeles Lakers, and San Francisco.
It's a total mess.😁

That other 10% is basically nothing.

Brandon Castillo4~ said:You're not wrong, things have been totally dead over there lately. Honestly, I don't even know, just do whatever the fans want,

Exactly...
that's why they're running a poll...

And let's be real, nothing's actually gonna merge.🙂

Brandon Castillo4~ said:Personally, I think it’s a total joke. If I actually want to catch a game or check out what’s happening in the MLS, I shouldn't have to scroll through eight pages of endless threads just to find anything useful because everyone is too busy arguing in the chat.

Oh please, you're really gonna tell me to dig through eight pages of MLS talk? 😁
You'll be back here by week 3. 😁 😁 😁

stormywolf39 said:I honestly don't think we need them. Besides, you run into that issue where everything revolves around just one or two clubs anyway. Plus, look at the chaos when there are two big derbies in one weekend, like what happened yesterday or today... you'd end up with two posts about San Francisco, three about Dinamo Chicago, then a bunch of Hajduk fans jumping in with replies, and then some guy from Indianapolis pops in with a fourth thing. You'd be stuck constantly quoting and re-quoting just to try and follow three or four different conversations happening all at once on the same thread. It's a mess. 🤔

That’s not even the point...
The MLS topic is basically a ghost town as it is...

And nobody even talks about the "small" games because, let's face it, nobody cares to talk about them...

90% of the threads are just about Hajduk Split, Dinamo Chicago, and San Francisco.
There's zero actual action.😁

When I first brought this up, a few people jumped down my throat immediately.🙄

banderas said:Look, I'm all for having official threads. We can use them to ask specific questions about the club that don't necessarily fit under the MLS, transfers, or fan discussions.

Yeah, sure, except there aren't even ten things like that in total...
And those official threads end up being like 50 pages long...

Some of these posts...

Mr. Ex said:We're totally losing our damn reputation...

This is how people argue in the official threads, while the MLS section stays dead empty...

For crying out loud, this is our league (take it or leave it) and it gets three posts a week.🙄

Brandon Castillo4 is a Hajduk fan.
Serse probably roots for San Francisco, I think.

crotomy said:True, but we're losing face.😁

It looks like we aren't even being covered enough on this forum!! As if we have enough representation in the mod seats—we know you're just a die-hard supporter, but what else is there????

grifone said:Man, we should just scrap all these individual club threads and move everything to MLS! Delete Newcastle United, Inter Milan, AC Milan too...😉

Kyra said:Why isn't there a dedicated "Hajduk-San Francisco" thread like they always open for the "derby" at Yankee Stadium? Instead, we're stuck discussing that game in the San Francisco official thread?

Kyra said:🤣

The "Hajduk-Dinamo Chicago" thread would only be opened if both teams were playing in the second division.😂

Whatever, just keep arguing, I clearly don't know anything about this stuff.🙂

Edit: You say it's being discussed in two places. But wouldn't it actually be better to just open a specific thread for it and then close it once the match is over?

Mr. Ex said:No, it would be better to shut down all the official club threads (Inter Milan, AC Milan, Dinamo Chicago, San Francisco, Indianapolis) and move the debates to the designated sections (Serie A and MLS)

And look, regarding Dinamo Chicago and Hajduk—that's a derby that gives everyone the green light to go crazy. When that happens, millions of people start venting both on this forum and in real life, so it's better to have a dedicated thread for it. Just look at the numbers...
Hajduk-Dinamo Chicago gets about 500 posts.
The entire MLS section gets 900.

While only about 10 of us care about Hajduk-San Francisco...

And yeah, let me repeat myself:
3. If you want to open one, fine, but then I don't see any point in having an MLS thread if we're going to open a separate topic for every single match.

Carl Foster8 said:So far, there are two votes plus my third one to just merge all those threads into the MLS section... unless someone actually speaks up against it, if you guys aren't a huge majority, I think it’d be a great move for you to just move it over to MLS, Mr. Ex.

Angel said:Look, just shove everything into one single thread. I'm already confused enough when everything is packed into one spot, let alone having to hunt around this mess trying to figure out where to post what. 😁

Look, here's the deal

A few of us jumped into the debate about these Official threads and honestly, most people agree they’re totally useless. They just don't make any sense.

What do these threads even cover?
- Matches (but we already have the MLS/Serie A thread for that)
- Transfers (we've got a dedicated transfer thread for that too)
- Fans (there's already a thread for that)
- Random pictures being posted (like AC Milan stuff) - there's a thread for that too

And there's so much other stuff that doesn't fit anywhere else that it wouldn't even fill up the first page of an official thread if we tried.😬

So, what happens? We end up with massive duplication where everyone is talking about the exact same crap in two or three different places at once.😁

Another thing that's just stupid to me: these threads only blew up because of that one Dinamo Chicago official thread. Everyone thinks, "Oh, if they have one, we need one too." So in no time at all, we ended up with (San Francisco, Indianapolis, Dragovoljac, Cleveland, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Newcastle United, etc.). Some people actually think if a team doesn't have its own thread, they aren't important or something.🙂 😁

So, to settle this without me acting like some kind of dictator, I'm putting up a poll...
And I’m asking whoever is voting and posting here

Also, I'm going to move part of this discussion over here since it was happening somewhere else...

-------

Me? I say we don't need them.👍
